If I could score this place higher than 5 stars I would. A simply stunning place to stay. We were upgraded to a two bedroom suite which was high quality. Amazing view of the Caldera (which all rooms have), plenty of space for our group of 3 but would be ample for 4. All the staff at the hotel are wonderful. Friendly, helpful but respectful and courteous. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We had breakfast delivered to the room every day. We ate and drank at the pool bar most days. Used the hotel shuttle serve to the capital and to the beach which is free and very convenient. It was a little bit more than we’d usually pay for a holiday but it was definitely worth the extra. A little slice of luxury! Wish we could have stayed longer! Will definitely be back again!

Possibly the best hotel I've ever stayed in. We only stayed a week but next time it will be longer. The rooms are massive with a small kitchenette and eating area. We had a junior suite which had a front yard with 2 built in sunbeds and a table. Big bathroom and big shower. Lots of shampoo and stuff. Massive bed and very comfortable, good size balcony overlooking the sea which is about a mile below. There are only about 15 rooms, all face the sea. Some have hot tubs. The pool area is good. We only saw 14 people round the pool at one time and that included us 2. There's a small restaurant with good food and the staff are brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is on its own along narrow road about a 15 minute walk from the village. The road isn't lit very well so take a torch. Sometimes it's a bit windy round the pool area. There are glass panels, so it's not too bad, but if it's a bit nippy there are blankets available. It's not a cheap place to stay but it's worth it. If I had the money, I'd stay for months. The best bit is breakfast. You can have it on your balcony up until 11.45. Fried eggs, bacon, sausages and toast. This is the only place in the world I've been up for breakfast every day and that includes my house! I can't wait to get back here.

We visited mid September with Jet2. Overall an excellent holiday, although we discovered that it is a very busy island, especially the main towns of Fira and Oia inundated with cruise ship holidaymakers. We knew that Santorini was expensive (and it is!) so we treated ourselves for our 60th birthdays. What we loved about the hotel: Small (15 rooms) in a quiet location; beautifully decorated & appointed rooms; Excellent service from the staff; amazing views; the free bus service to the lovely beach (and great beach club) and to Fira; beautiful village within close walking distance (10-15 mins) with excellent restaurants What we were not so impressed with: Pool area lacked shade. We appreciate that it can be a very windy location, but on calmer days they should put up more sail type shades. We would witness people trying to hide from the sun under tables or against a wall. Also we didn’t like the music blaring non stop. It was not suitable for a chilled vibe atmosphere - ‘driving home for Christmas’ being one of the pop songs! Suspect the music was played to try and create some form of atmosphere - but the lack of sun cover and incessant music kept us away. We had booked a first floor (top) room but were ‘upgraded’ to a ground floor room. Whilst it benefited from a small patio area overlooking the car park, you could hear people walking in the room above. I would have preferred our original room. For a Fireworks Festival Dinner we were told that the dining room was fully booked and that we would have to sit outside. Absolutely fine by us as the dining room is pretty basic, lighting too bright and again lacked atmosphere. However when we arrived at our appointed time, all the outside tables had been taken and we were shown a table inside. Guests who had booked the restaurant area had obviously decided to sit outside . Not impressed, although the staff did hastily move a table outside for us.

Lovely. Staff are amazing. The breakfast is great. The rooms are really nice. The view is beautiful. It is very expensive but Santorini is very expensive. There was a little bit of a glitch with my sister’s room on the first night but they did compensate us well. Santorini is a pretty small island, but it’s good to have a car. Nice to be able to walk into Megalachori for dinner every night.

We have just returned from a lovely weeks holiday at this fantastic hotel. The view from our room was spectacular with spacious balcony to enjoy the sunsets. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to ensure our wedding anniversary was extra special. Room was comfortable and very clean. Would definitely recommend.

This was our second visit to Calderas Dolphin. As soon as we got home last year we rebooked to come again. This is a small hotel with the most stunning views of the caldera. The team are friendly and super helpful. The pool and bar area are excellent and there is the option of a free shuttle service to the beach. Recommend highly!

Exactly what we wanted. Away from the crowds but right on the caldera. Small, but has everything you need. Staff is wonderful and service is top notch. Short walk into town with really really good restaurants. Room service at the hotel was great. Highly recommend.
