This inn is just about perfect in every way. From our first steps through the door to the hugs at the end of the week, it became home for 5 days. Adults only, quiet, beautifully appointed with antiques, opulent yet warm and inviting, a courtyard, a bar area, morning breakfast pastries and muffins made by Ruby, all day coffee and tea, on-site parking, and situated in what I consider the more desirable “half” off the historic district. The bustling lively eating-bars-shopping River Street area is within walking distance, but is far enough removed that it’s calmer, quieter, and more historic near the Ballastone. I was simply IN LOVE with the first floor living room / parlor, entryway foyer, and breakfast room. Every afternoon and evening vintage music was softly playing and the entire environment just makes you want to settle in and relax. The rooms are fitted with antiques and each one is beautifully done. Huge thanks to Catherine, Christine, Laken, Ruby, Janet, and Janice for your hospitality. This was such an awesome part of our trip!
