"The room is very close to the Beppu Kitahama bus stop, making it easily accessible by bus from Oita Airport. Check-in at 3 PM was smooth with the help of friendly staff. The lobby offers a 24-hour beverage machine with coffee, cocoa, and various cold drinks, all free to enjoy – that's a huge plus! The room itself is clean and bright, with a well-equipped kitchen (though the tableware isn't ceramic, which is a bit of a shame). It also includes a washing machine with detergent and a water dispenser. There's a balcony, which is a must-have for longer stays. The rooftop hot spring bath isn't large, but the water quality is excellent. The only drawback is that it's only free to use after 10 PM. A minor downside: the bed corners in the room are a bit sharp and easy to bump into, so be careful. Overall, the stay was excellent. Highly recommended!"

While the general experience was okay, the room cleanliness wasn't up to par—specifically, there was an unpleasant odor coming from the cups and the bathroom. Additionally, the door leading from the balcony to the hot spring room couldn't be securely locked, which was a bit concerning. With better housekeeping and maintenance, this would be a much better place to stay."

"I've stayed here before, and this time I brought a friend and booked a larger room. It's a historic inn, but the building and decor don't feel old at all. The Japanese-style room has a really nice vibe, and the smell of the tatami mats is so soothing. The room itself is incredibly spacious; I honestly think three or four people could comfortably stay in that one large tatami room. On the top floor, there's a hot spring with one indoor bath, a small outdoor bath, and a small sauna, all using natural hot spring water. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but all the dishes are local specialties or popular items from Oita Prefecture, so you'll definitely eat well and feel full. The downstairs parking used to be free, but now it costs 700 yen per night."

"Transportation: Very convenient. It's only a 10-minute walk to JR Beppu Station. For my bus trip to Fukuoka, the bus stop (right outside Starbucks) was just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Facilities: This is a resort-style hotel, and I was lucky enough to snag a sea-view room where the first rays of morning sun streamed directly in. The room was very spacious, more than enough for two people; it actually felt a bit large for just myself. It was approximately 10 tatami mats in size (excluding the bathroom, separate toilet, entryway, and balcony). Cleanliness: As it was a Japanese-style room, it was generally clean, but there were some small bugs. I got a few bites on my fingers and bottom, but they cleared up by the next day. Ambiance: The balcony offered a direct view of the ocean. The 260-degree sea view room was truly impressive. Service: Overall, the service was very good. The only area that needs improvement is the hot spring on the 7th floor. On the day of my arrival, I made a reservation for the hot spring with the hotel, but I didn't receive any confirmation or proof. Consequently, I didn't actually go. However, I was still charged either 1000 or 1500 yen for it at check-out. It's a small amount, so I didn't bother disputing it with the front desk, but I do think their booking and confirmation process for the hot spring needs significant improvement."

"I liked the hotel. Very good selection for breakfast and dinner, convenient onsens, amenities of good quality and wide selection of shampoos, face cleansers, creams, etc. I liked infinity bath on the 7th floor, but due to the strong wind I could enjoy it for long time. However sunset and full moon were do beautiful and bath was comfortably hot. There are table tennis, billiard, massage chairs and gaming machines in the basement, omiyage shop. I liked choose of sizes and colors of yukatas too."

From the service to the facilities, this onsen (hot spring) ranks as one of the best I've visited in Japan, alongside Izu, Arima, and Karuizawa. Enjoying a hot soak with family, then relaxing on the balcony listening to the ocean waves while sipping a drink—it was such a perfect evening. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was outstanding, featuring many local specialties. I'll definitely be back!"

The indoor onsen on the third floor is quite spacious and wasn't crowded at all. **Food:** Dinner was excellent, with a good variety including sashimi, wagyu beef, and tempura. Breakfast leaned a bit more vegetarian but was also very tasty."
