Senglea Suites

I stayed at this beautiful little gem from October 22 to October 26, 2022. Everything was absolutely perfect! The 6 rooms are all individually decorated to reflect the Maltese architecture and culture. Breakfast included almost anything you would like, including eggs cooked to order. The location is perfect ~ it's a 2 minute walk to the beautiful Senglea marina with lots of restaurants and cafes lining the waterfront. The ferry to Valetta is an easy 5 minute walk. Their lovely rooftop terrace allows for an amazing view of the 3 Cities, the Grand Harbour and Valetta and is the perfect spot to start your day with breakfast or end it with a glass of wine. The owners and hosts, Micheal and Eric, are so helpful and responsive. They can't do enough to ensure that your stay is really wonderful. , This hotel is the perfect place to enjoy your stay in Malta. I can't wait to come back!

When we return to Malta we will definitely stay at Senglea Suites again. The rooms were spacious and well designed. The location was convenient. The breakfast was excellent. Most of all the owners and staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and took great care of us during our stay. This is an outstanding property!

There is often a misconception about the definition of a boutique hotel. For my understanding it should be a smaller hotel in a charming area where some thoughts have been put in, while creating this place. And that's what you see right away, when you enter this place. You see, that this place was created by people and not by some anonymous large company, which doesn't care about details. So there is a certain atmosphere to this place. We were among the first guests staying in this hotel, as a matter of fact, it wasn't even TripAdvisor listed at the time... So to sum it up... There are some minor 'bugs' like flickering bulb or so, as this place is completely new, but the interiors are great. The breakfast was sufficient, there is room for improvement (as always is), but it was on pair with even pricier hotels. The location of the place is great - among the old historical houses of Senglea, away from the tourist masses of Sliema etc., but with Maltas public transportation, it is no problem. We also had a lovely chat with the owners- lovely champs. In my opinion a place worth staying at.

Wonderful hospitality! I enjoyed 3 amazing days at this boutique hotel with my partner... beautiful renovated ancient building, amazing terrace with stunning sea/bay view... perfect breakfast... the highest care and kindness from the 2 hosts... we could have not desired and expected more. We'll certainly go back.

When one sees photos on various booking sights there's always a slight scepticism and nervousness at how the accommodation is presented and described. One then looks at the reviews and tries to determine if there is equally a bias or misrepresentation. But this is not the case at Senglea Suites ! My wife and I frequently (at least try to) seek out high quality Airbnbs, Vrbo, apart/hotel rooms; so Senglea Suites is up there as the best we've had in many years! The rooms are better than portrayed through the pictures (we had a Queen suite with balcony); the room facilities (fridge, coffee, tea and water) and hygiene very high; the roof terrace (fab views across the harbours) relaxing but above all else Eric and Michael the proprietors are the most welcoming "super hosts" you'll ever meet! They are always in contact with you thru WhatsApp; attend breakfast (continental with eggs - an awesome omelette) to ensure everything is perfect and answer all your questions around what to see, do, eat and drink. Every recommendation they gave us we took up and we were not disappointed. If you are looking to stay in Malta don't be put off by not being in Valletta. The Senglea Suites are on the Isla peninsula. Water taxis are plentiful to take you to Valletta and the restaurant scene in Isla is better with many situated along the quayside which is not the case in Valletta on account of the city being on a mount. Restaurants to visit (with my rating for food); Terrone-5; Le Regatta-4.5; Enchante-4; Aqua Blue-4; Novita-3.5. Bolt, Uber and eCabs are plentiful and cheap (no need to hire a car) but don't be shy of using public buses which are much cheaper and take you around the towns on Malta. In addition to browsing around the local environs plus Valletta, places to have on your list should include; Mdina/Rabat; Gozo (Victoria & Ramla Bay) by fast ferry; Marsaxlokk. If you are looking for good temperatures e.g. 25 degrees in late Oct then definitely consider Senglea Suites...it's a must! Thanks Eric and Michael.

This gorgeous hotel is in one of the 3 cities of Malta. The room was very spacious, decorated with great feeling and the beds were great. There is a little fridge and you get a new supply of still and sparkling water and coffee every day. It included a very good breakfast with lots of options to chose from and you can take to the terrace or the rooftop for an outside breakfast. Eric was the host you wish every hotel had, he provided lots of great tips and we could turn to him via WhatsApp for information on the go. It was a very short stay but we enjoyed it to the max. We'll definitely come back to Malta and there is no other place we would want to stay.

Amazing hotel! The room was very elegant! Eric, Michael, and the Staff are very friendly and helpful. It was short (Malta) walk to the Three Cities restaurants on the harbor. We would sit at the rooftop terrace in the evenings and enjoy a bottle of wine while looking out over the harbor and lights if Valetta. The area is nice and quiet. You can stroll around the neighborhoods and admire the houses craftsmanship and architectural features.

I booked a last minute stay and found this lovely hotel. I arrived with Eric being available to meet me to show me around the building. There are two great roof terraces which I did enjoy with a glass of wine many an evening. I was able to discuss with Eric things I wanted to see and he provided me with excellent local information. The room was lovely spacious with everything you would need. I decided to take the breakfast it was fresh with the option to choice eggs plus also to take the breakfast on the roof terrace. The room was cleaned and fresh water provided. There is a nice size fridge, for which I used to chill my locally purchased wine. I have recommended this place to friends thinking of coming to visit Malta.
