I enjoyed the stay but was really disappointed that the Vantage restaurant was closed. The wind made a loud moaning sounds in the window and the toilet had a nasty stain under the lid. I thought the room seemed small. There was no record player like in the pic online. They did provide us with a fan to drown out the noise. I loved the robe. The hotel was beautifully decorated.

Our stay here was fantastic! The check in and valet process was super simple. The staff made us feel very welcomed and at home. While we didn’t eat in the restaurant we did go to the rooftop bar twice and both time the experience was great! The wait staff were awesome as the views are great too. I especially enjoyed the heated outdoor area because it was a little cooler when we returned in the evening. The record players in the room was the icing on the cake! There is a record shop across the street from the hotel and we popped in and added a few to the rooms collection. The downtown area is very much alive and there are a ton of places to eat and drink. We saw a show at the Blue Room comedy club which was only a 7 min walk from the hotel and managed to stop at some places for drinks on the way back. Quick Tip: If you’re looking for late night eats, Pickleman’s is on the same block as the hotel and is open until 2AM. If we’re ever back in Springfield, Hotel Vandivort is the only place we will be staying. I highly recommend it!

Hotel is great for the price. Area is right downtown and near many great eateries and coffee shops. Valet is very affordable ($15 overnight) and there is also plenty of parking close by. Only thing was house keeping was a little lacking. Floors were very dirty under furniture and walls and fixtures were dusty. However, did not deter from how great this hotel is. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

I loved everything about this hotel except the bed. It was harder than a hospital bed. If you like a firm mattress, this is the perfect hotel for you. I’m disappointed because I was very much hoping this was going to be a frequent booking for me.

We love the Vandivort location, rooms, and staff. The only negative about this stay was the bathroom floor appeared a little dirty or was in need of a buffing.

Excellent little romantic getaway for a birthday celebration. The dining was fantastic and they provided a great drink selection. Impressed with the service. Will do this again.

Property was a little run down for the $$ paid. We had gotten a balcony suite and the balcony door wouldn't lock. Contacted front desk, ended up going to dinner and when we returned had to be shown how to lock it until repairs could be made. Also, came back after our evening out to find tv services were out. Contacted front desk again and the gentlemen said he had heard from others it wasn't working and said to wait. Still no tv the next morning, informed staff upon checkout. Was hoping for a small refund but no such luck.
