Priory Inn

We won a nights stay when we took part in the Arkells ale trail, my Partner and I used our vouchers to make a weekend stay. We haven’t been disappointed. The staff are lovely, through out the pub/restaurant and the staff on the front desk. The room was lovely, clean and tidy & a good selection of teas and coffee as well as biscuits and bottled water. There is a selection of magazines about the local area in the room to help you find things to do. It’s a short walk from the centre of the town & there’s a coop and lots of shops and other cafes/restaurants there too. The breakfast was lovely. We both had a full English on the first morning. (I am writing this before the second) Along with a cooked item from the menu you can also have cereal/fruit/toast & there is a good Selection of cereals and fruit to choose from plus toast with an array of spreads. It’s definitely a lovely place to stay or even just to visit for a lunch or dinner out! I am looking forward to visiting in the summer as the garden looks lovely! We stayed at The Priory Inn this weekend for a friends get together. There were 11 of us in total. The rooms are nicely furnished and clean. As we were a large party, we were offered the hotel's function room for dinner & breakfast, which was perfect for us and allowed us to relax and not worry about disturbing other guests. The food was really good and the staff were amazing and really friendly, especially Natalie, The Manager, who made sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay a pleasant experience. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel and we will definitely be returning.

The pub was really nice and food was good. Friendly staff. The room was spacious, warm.and comfortable. The bathroom could do with a bit of updating and cleaning of the mold in some areas. Parking was easy and the town was cute. Overall a great comfortable stay.

The Priory Inn is right in the heart of Tetbury, which is a beautiful village. The standard rooms are decent, nicely done out with good facilities (kettle, choice of teas and coffee incl. decaf). The let down was the shower room, which was quite cramped and there were a couple of patches of mould on the sealant (this could do with some attention). The bed wasn't bad, but a little springy for me and I reckon the TV could do with an upgrade, as it's quite small and an older model. The hotel has a nice bar and restaurant downstairs that's worth stopping at and all of the staff were really friendly and very helpful. I couldn't fault them at all. There's also two EV charging ports in the car park (convenient, but you'll need your own cable and they're more expensive than the PodPoint in the Tesco car park nearby). Bottom line, I enjoyed my stay and I'd definitely stay again.

Beautiful hotel in a lovely village. Staff are brilliant, everyone was so friendly! I had both breakfast and dinner, food was excellent! Will definitely be coming back, thank you!

Very disappointed with the family room. Could not complain and ask to be moved as we had the biggest room, as our teenage daughter with us. Quite poor not having a TV in the bedroom so nothing to watch unless we all piled onto our daughters settee bed but don’t think that would have survived well. Bathroom was the worst; just needs someone to get on their hands and knees with a bit of Viakal and scrub everywhere. In fact was so unhappy with bathroom I just had a ***** wash and no shower - unheard of! Stains all over bedroom carpets; again nothing a bit of 1001 wouldn’t fix. Really noisy from the restaurant / bar so couldn’t sleep till everyone left then woke up at 2.15 and never slept again. Can’t fault hospitality and service which were spot on and towels and sheets were spotless and evening meal and breakfast were ok. Won’t be back I’m afraid.

This was without a doubt the best hotel I have stayed in. The manager and his wife were so attentive. The staff were first class , they could not do enough for you . The food was 1st class. The rooms were spotless. I will be staying again . Thanks for looking after us. Dave & Sian Barry, S,Wales.

I loved the Priory Inn. The room we stayed in was PERFECT. The restaurant was delicious. Its proximity to the shops in town couldn't be better. Parking was plentiful and easy. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed our stay here. Becky was OVER THE TOP - so helpful during check-in and throughout our whole stay. Thank you for making a magical experience in the Cotswolds.
