Onar Hotel & Suites

Charming boutique hotel with traditional local architecture and exceptional service. Despina and Susanna made us feel right at home, and the homemade breakfasts were the best of our trip. Our ferry was over an hour late so our group did not arrive at the hotel until 11:30pm but we were still met with fruit tea and large slices of cake. Just the pick-me-up we needed! Yes, the rooms are all different but the photos on Tripadvisor are a good indication of what you will find. My single room's windows and balcony faced a (quiet) street, but the split door faced the patio/pool area and had a view of the harbour. Breakfast in the courtyard each morning was delightful.

This small hotel is "quirky" but well located to Tinos Town. A bit of a steep climb with cases up a combination of pedestrian only alleyways using Google maps... only 10mins from the ferry port. Don't bother with a taxi.... 1 minute ride E20. The hotel is on various levels with steps, no lifts... to a variety of rooms. The complex is set amongst a very Greek street housing area... but doesn't detract from the ambience of the hotel. Breakfasts are good, self serve buffet style with Gluten Free food.... you MUST let the hotel know 2 weeks or so before you arrive. Having spoken to many guests, and others who have stayed here, and was our experience....... ....many of the guests are Greeks and it's not uncommon for them to have great family gatherings late at night on the large tables close to the pool and centre of hotel. As most rooms face the pool the friendly chatting might keep you awake if you're early nighters.....!! A 3 night stay whilst you explore this lovely island, ( bus day tour E15 near the ferry port) well worth the trip..... Owner and staff, helpful and friendly. Will return..

Charming, welcoming, very comfortable and a great location for port and town. Just spent 10 days here- the owners have renovated the property with taste, modelling the outlay to liken a greek village with the courtyard as its hub. Greek hospitality in buckets from owners and staff with especial mention of Susan who was so helpful. Spotlessly clean rooms with comfortable beds , wonderful home baking to tempt at breakfast, and great sea views from the upper communal terraces and some room balconies. The pool was perfect for a dip after a day exploring this very special island. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at Onar Hotel.

One of the best hotels I have been to. It is super clean, exquisitely beautiful but most of all it is family. Every corner has a charm. It is a cyclades delight. They tell you everything, where to go, the food is delicious there and fresh. They welcome you with open arms. Every day the owner offered me fresh fruits from her garden and water just out of the kindness of her heart and she so generously offered me homemade lunch and dinner fresh from their garden for me several times and even gave me a homemade meal to go to the beach that I loved so much in a container. She also gave me a jacket to wear because it was so windy and cold. I sat with them and enjoyed their company so much, they truly made my experience in Tinos. Honestly, there wasn’t one thing the owner didn’t think to do for me - she is always thinking about making her guests happy and has so much love and warmth. The rooms are really nice and beautifully decorated with great energy. Most of all you will experience the charm of Tinos in this little oasis. It’s so nice to sit outside - every little studio has a balcony for fresh air and also each outside floor has tables outside to eat and relax. It’s a beautiful villa. You can have a whole family get together or party here because the property has so many outdoor places to sit at to enjoy and a really nice pool. Location is perfect, right outside the center (4 minute walk) yet there is so much peace and quiet and you have the view of the entire island from above and the sea. The rooms are absolutely amazing, kitchen, hot tub, shower, beautiful ambience, natural sustainable architecture.

Most agreeable, helpful and professional. Room was clean, courtyard lovely, breakfast was included, as was wi-fi. They advised us on car rentals, places to visit and guided us on rebooking a ferry off the island when the ferries were on strike. Highly recommended

What a beautiful hotel. A lovely feeling of small boutique style and personal. Our suite was spacious well laid out, with balcony, pool and sea view, fantastic with two children. Staff were lovely, excellent breakfast, will definitely stay again.

A family owned hotel with authentic style, a few minutes walk to the port and all the places of interest in the heart of Chora Tinos, but also in a very quiet road. All the necessary facilities provided, my suite at the 3rd floor offers an amazing view till the edge of the town and the sea. Small but relaxing pool, breakfast needs to get riched. Thanks to Mrs Despoina, a friendly hostess!
