Not the most bustling area of town/city if that’s what you are looking for. But a really really nice and grand hotel with banquet rooms and nice pretty garden that looks amazing day and night. Room was big and spacious and we even got tempur beds that could be raised/lowered at a touch of a button!

This was a decent stay. The only complaints are that the lobby toilet was a bit unclean and there was always a long wait for the elevator. Also the room carpet was covered in lint balla but otherwise it was a clean room. The bed was comfortable. The view from the room was good. Location is great. The selection at the breakfast buffet was varied and it was tasty.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will be recommending the New Otani to friends and family. The staff in the Zen Lounge could not have been more helpful from start to finish. We booked three rooms and one room was upgraded. This made all of the difference to our stay. The room was spectacular!! The garden was beautiful and the restaurants/ shops in the hotel were very good. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to the Tokyo train stations. I would recommend all of the staff we came across during our stay. They were all superb, so polite and nothing too much trouble. We loved our stay at the New Otani.

This was our second trip to Japan within the past 5 years. Previously, we stayed at a budget hotel which was cramped and small compared to American hotels. For this reason, we decided to splurge and I'm so glad we did. Splurge on the deluxe room if you value space and comfort. It not only made a huge difference, but it made our stay even better. The deluxe room comes with a walk- in closet, huge bathroom, and the room itself was big enough for a King bed and sitting area with a couch and chair. The staff provided excellent customer service at all times. The hotel is not that close to a train station so be wary of that, especially if you have heavy luggage. Also, this hotel is huge and navigating it takes time before you know where to go and how to get to the area's local restaurants and train stations. The hotel grounds have a beautiful Japanese garden with waterfall which rivals some parks. The only criticism I have about our stay is dining. As do all hotels, this one charges a huge price to dine on-site. You have access to local restaurants that are within walking distance for half the price. If you want to save money do a little research online and dine off-site. There are plenty of options around the area.

Hotel opened less than a year ago. Everything is new and the design is very modern. Location is in the middle of Shinjuku so it was close to everything. The hotel staff was very attentive and the connection between the lobby (on the 18th floor) to the concierge in the ground floor was always in sync. Breakfast at the main hotel had a great view for a nice clear day but selection is limited. They have a second buffet in their neighbour hotel (17th floor) that has more selection. I would not really recommend this hotel for younger kids due to its design but overall great hotel.

Absolutely top-notch service although the hotel is a bit old but they maintain the whole environment as if you were arriving at a brand new opening hotel in 70s. Almost as if you were walking through the history of time where the service is still at its excellency. It’s amazing! Those elderly women who work as janitor is also super professional. It seems like they work there since the hotel opening. Super nice Buffett and a great ambience of miniature garden in the center of hotel hallway. It’s merely a great experience staying here!

My first visit to Japan and very soon after many covid restrictions had been lifted..the arrival and exit from the Airport was hassle free and fairly quick...the Taxi ride to the RIHGA Royal Hotel took around 30 minutes. I arrived at the hotel just after 07.00 and had to pay a fee for an early check-in, I had booked a luxury Double Room which was comfortable, spacious and quiet... the hotel is very grand inside with a wonderful lobby restaurant where you can enjoy an afternoon tea and drinks, its within walking distance of many restaurants and close to the main train station for the Bullet train, I would recommend this hotel and the staff were very attentive and courteous

We initially booked the stay here due to a very competitive price but were not expecting a lot tbh. We were pleasantly surprised. LOCATION. The hotel is located close to the city center, 10 mins from the metro station, with a well-stocked grocery store just opposite of it. Are is a residential one and really quiet at night which for me was a plus. ROOM. For a 3 person room, it was relatively spacious (not big by any means, but organized in the way that does not make it claustrophobic) with a kitchenette and a bathroom. I loved how well-stocked it was - we were provided everything we may have needed, including phone chargers, bath towels, disposable hairbrushes and kitchenware. It was also absolutely spotless, which I really appreciate. STAFF. While some staff members were more fluent in English than others, they were always very nice and helpful. If I ever come back to Tokyo, I would make sure to stay there again.

The difference is intense (> _ _<) menu is several kinds of vegetable salad, macaroni salad, celery. It is not a Viking but a single packaging, so there are few potions! Recommended Fukagawa Meshi is also a lunch style and the amount is small. There are several kinds of small bread. I didn't swell my stomach because it was troublesome to go to pick it up many times. Well, it's free, so there's no way ... I will use Nihonbashi Ningyo CHO, which I think is personally atari in the future (-_-;)

quit location but near to higashi shinjuku station witch is good for traveler who wants to roam around shinjuku. But you should be carefull about you keycard when you go out . because when its late evening theres no front desk anymore to assist you and you have no choice to wait them or call them to help you.

Why should you stay at this hotel as a tourist? First of all, location. Only 5 minutes walk from Ichigaya JR & Metro station, across the bridge. So centralise that if you take the trains towards any direction at rush hour in the morning, you get empty cars, as the crowds are coming against you. Equally, as you return in the evening, the crowds are going the other way. It's a great hotel, super convenient, comfortable, nice and clean. But it is not prepared to service foreign visitors. Hardly anyone has minimum control of English. They will usually leave the call, or the desk, or pretend they cannot help, but once you use the term HELP, they will make everything possible to help, no matter how confused they are. I'd be happy to return and stay strategically here. Why not? The only reason to stay elsewhere is if you have a much higher budget.

The B2b exit of Iidabashi is in a building. The hostel is on the 18th floor of the building. It was discovered after a long time around the building because the map was not positioned properly. It is not a hotel in the classic sense. It is more like a Boardinghouse. The rooms are like small apartments with a bathroom, small kitchenette, washing machine. The room is really large for Japanese conditions, we had a room with double bed, sofa, small table, desk, TV (only Japanese broadcasters), air conditioning, small balcony, from which we even could see the Fuji Mount. The bed was very good, comfortable, large (Japanese double beds are otherwise often very narrow!), good bed linen. All overall was very clean, but the sofa had a lot of spots and overall could be renovated once. It really only refers to the optics, it worked everything. In the bathroom everything was available (as usual in Japan). The kitchen line is too small to really cook something, but for breakfast, cupnoodles or to warm up a finished dish in the microwave is enough. However, there are so many restaurants in the nearby run that you can go very well to eat. We booked the room without breakfast because you can also go to a very good and relatively cheap breakfast in Japan and the hotel's breakfast had no good reviews. The hotel is located on a 4-spurged street, it is nothing more out on the evening and in the room it was absolutely quiet. The public transportation station is 3 minutes walking distance, the metro and JR trains are driven to the station. You can get to all the attractions well. Of course you are also on a longer journey in Tokyo. There are 2 mini markets near the hotel where you can take care of everything. Entry and check-in went quickly and smoothly, the staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay there again and can recommend the hotel in full. Whoever has been living in a Japanese hotel for a long time knows to appreciate the size of the rooms!

The hotel looks similar to the picture. It is retro and has a relatively large space. It's a budget hotel, minimal service. We only saw the front desk staff once during our week long stay. They were reachable by phone though so that's a plus. The unit we rented was a bit cramped for 3 people but it did come as advertised with a stove top, microwave and sink. Just nowhere to sit down and take advantage of it. There was also an in unit washing machine which was handy. the neighbourhood is residential with a convenience store on one side and a small produce market on the other. There were a couple restaurants nearby as well as a 7-11. There were two subway lines nearby, one a 5 minute walk (Tohei line) the other a 10 minute walk. Though we enjoyed our stay it was very bare bones minimalist so as long as you're prepared for that it will do the trick. Great for budget minded travelers.
