The best hotel I ever been.

Wonderful resort

I stayed at this hotel in October 2023 as an early birthday celebration with my girlfriend. Due to work currently, we can only see each other every three months. We working hoping for a positive, chill experience. I am also a Hilton Gold member that has stayed all across the Hilton family of hotels; but I have never been so poorly treated by the front office than at this property. I was cheated and taken advantage of by paying over 500 euros more for their sea view room category and then given a lower category that is almost 50% of the cost per night and has no view (photos below). I would like to clarify that my grievances are with the front office. Most of the property staff are friendly, highly competent, and hardworking. Two staff members who were particularly excellent were the gentleman Efe and restaurant supervisor Merve Bilir. They provided excellent service, were genuinely warm people that care about their customers, and are hard workers. They should be the managing the entire hotel Also the food at the resort is very good and on par with any of my stays at the Waldorf Astoria properties. We also enjoyed the spa, which is run by a separate company and provided a great hammam experience Negatives: -We were given the wrong room category. The room I booked was a “King premium sea view” with “panoramic” sea views. Their reservations page is very clear about the room in both photos and its description. Instead we got room 6 with a view of some trees, which was clearly a lower room category (photos below). I typically wouldn’t care if the price difference is minimal, but lower room categories at this hotel are nearly 50% less per night (240 to 270 euros per night while I paid over 500 euros per night). Over the course of the weekend, I ended up paying between 500 to 600 euros more than was necessary for a lower room When I went to the front desk to point this out and ask for a room change, the receptionists agreed with me that this was not the right room and they offered me a free dinner with alcohol included, but they were fully booked and couldn’t move us I agreed and left but didn’t feel that was fair compensation since a 130 euro dinner doesn’t make up for paying 500+ euros for the wrong room. When I came back a few hours later, I asked for a manager and the assistant manager Tarik came out to speak with me. He was completely dismissive and couldn’t care less for what I had to say. He didn’t apologize and seemed annoyed that I was speaking to him and tried to end the conversation as fast as possible. He then informed me that alcohol would not be included in the dinner after it was promised and while he was hurriedly walking away he said he would ask the head manager what else they could do. The receptionist felt bad and offered to send a bottle of wine. During the rest of our stay we never received a bottle of wine and Tarik never got back to us -Their beach club, Frankie, was closed for two full days for a wedding while we were

Great hotel for a summer getaway Few people live there , the hotel is rather a boutique one that’s regular Turkish hotels The hotel has beautiful landscape design and magnificent seas view . The hotel crew is great , super attentive . Highly recommend to visit this place

Fantastic location and great facilities across the resort. Very attentive staff and excellent service. The staff speaks English very well and provided a warm and friendly atmosphere. We stayed twice for a day in-between yacht-charters and enjoyed it a lot. Thanks to Neyzen Yachting we establish the contact to Susona and will definitely come here again.

Words can’t describe my stay at Susona Bodrum. The hotel is very clean and well taken care of and very modern and luxurious. The facilities and spa were top notch. But what really made are stay were the fabulous staff. From the minute we got there the staff was helpful and kind. The best service I ever had in a hotel. Yazo was fabulous, helped us with booking water sports and was very responsive and made sure everything was going smooth. Fonna was a spectacular waitress during breakfast and she always had a smile on her face and was very sweet. Mert at the spa was great and helped us with making are appointments. The manger Jeyran was excellent and made sure we were always taken care of and always check in on us. The reception team was very accommodating. The food at Frankie’s Beach Club was excellent. They had anything you would want like pizza or burgers or fries. The breakfast was very delicious and everything is very clean and organic. If you are considering coming here please do you will have the best vacation. I would highly recommend coming to Susona Bodrum. Thanks to all the staff again. For sure coming back!!

The reception staff were very kind and helpful, when we wanted to see an upgraded room they showed it to us even though the one they selected for us turned to be even better. Our Villa 18 had a view to die for. All of the staff, Alpo our concierge , Jiran at reception and Ahmed our server at breakfast were very helpful. Turkish breakfast feast is not to be missed. So many yummy treats like quince and strawberry jams and cheese and local olives. The infinity pool is gorgeous . Beds and sheets so comfy and they have a large selection of pillows. Tea selection in the room is five star. Will definitely be coming back. A big thank you to Hakan Bender who made us feel so welcome at this luxurious resort. Oh yes the farewell gift was a bottle of olive oil made from the olives on the property.

So i'm going to give you the WHOLE scoop. There's always room to improve, but for Bodrum resorts... this is the best. The staff is amazing. There's a few people that connect with guests to get to know them, help them out, make conversation ever day and it's a great touch. Every staff member down to housekeeping, lifeguards and everyone are ALL polite. We stayed for about a week. We have two kids (11 and 14) and we had a suite that had a pool outside. The room has a bedroom and a living room and small kitchen aread. The high-end cots fit perfectly for the kids and still plenty of room plus a large couch. But a pool outside... COME ON! Ha ha. And there were two bathrooms one larger with major modern shower and bath. Ok some things to know... you might hear muffled DJ music from nearby resorts. It can go to 12am. We even had a room closer to that but it wasn't really a problem. Everyone is different but with closed doors it was faint. We rented a car. It was an easy drive from the Bodrum airport. Just use GPS on your phone. But the car made it great to drive into the Bodrum port (about 20 to 30 minutes) where we hung out a lot. We found our favorite parking lot where we could walk to everything and even a laundrymat that was way cheaper than the hotel. Laundry stuff was done exactly when she told us it would be. And Bodrum port has tons of resturants and it's where you'd get a gulet to sail around on a tour. The hotel will tell you about "traffic" but i think it's all prespective. The worst we ever had was 40 minutes one day. Always pretty easy (usually closer to 20 min). But know the roads to the resort off the highway are small and you have to be comfortable pulling over for trucks and stuff. Wasn't a big deal but if this bothers you then take a taxi everywhere. Plenty. We went for the day to Kos (Greece) on a highspeed ferry. It was a wonderful island but we don't reccommend this. Clearing customs on both ends was a nightmare and very time consuming. Made our day on the island short. Also got a massage while at the Susona. Very relaxing. I'd say overall it feels slightly more adult. Our kids loved it cause we always planned stuff and going into the Bodrum Port was always fun. But the resort does not have slides into pools and doesn't have water sports. We didn't need it. Swimming in the pool or the ocean was enough. But you can stand on the dock and see the neighbor resorts and see all their water sports. They just aren't as nice as the Susona. You can always go to water sports. But it was heaven. It's a special / beautiful resort.
