Very bad experience! We wanted to book 3 double rooms and we asked a simple question regarding the difference between a double and a twin bedroom, but the girl at the reception, very annoyed after she heard we were not Irish, started to give us attitude raising her voice without reason! Very rude and inappropriate! Because of this, I don’t think this “hotel” is suitable in welcoming tourists, maybe Irish people, but not tourists from other countries because of their racist attitude.

After having a lovely lunch with family, I was shocked and horrified at the way a young member of staff was treated by an older supervisor/ manager. The young girl was extremely helpful to the family at a neighboring table, pleasant and taking time to talk to them and help an elderly gentleman. However, the girl was roared at by her first name by an older colleague from across the dining room. The young girl was visibly shocked and jumped to attention immediately and appeared upset afterwards. If this is the way the you treat your younger staff members, then shame on ye, the quality of your food or service is irrelevant. I am a frequent visitor to the hotel but was sickened by the way that girl was treated.

Cosy and relaxing.
Early check-in & noon check-out made for a nice long stay.
Lots of sockets in room… great!
Very good lighting to work in.
A few bottles of water would have been welcome in the room…but bar staff had no problem assisting with this when asked.
Room was lovely and comfortable and warm. Parking was no problem.

Our Classic Car Run stopped off here for lunch on 26th August and we had a lovely carvery meal served up in jig time , we were late booking the meal and the hotel couldn’t be more helpful and we had 60/70 people which was no trouble to them at all , they were also delighted to see our cars and took photos for their facebook page , we will definitely be returning in the future

A few of us went for en evening meal in the Ard ri recently. The food came out stone cold and we sent it back. It was returned heated up but not roasting. The steak was tough and overall the meal was terrible. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. The staff were pleasant when we raised the issue and offered us free deserts but we didn’t risk it.

I was here for something to eat with friends and encountered the most friendly of staff, the food was excellent but without a doubt it was the service that stood out everybody I encountered was so friendly and accommodating. The new bar man I believe his name was Graham was excellent so welcoming and friendly after chatting with him he told me it was his first night in the bar and all I can say he is a great addition to an already exceptional staff you can tell it's not his first job in hospitality his interaction with all the customers was to be commended. I will definitely be returning and look forward to eating here again

Service had great food and grand well kept beer.. To say the service was impeccable is selling it short. Friendly smiles from everyone, ( staff and guests). Beautiful food and the rooms were great. Comfy beds with great showers.. Coming back for definite
