One&Only Cape Town

This hotel was absolutely beautiful but definitely a bit overpriced. The rooms are beautiful and spacious but we were a little disappointed with the housekeeping as there was bird poop on our balcony floor and even after telling them to clean it they didn’t. For the price we definitely expected more. The location is perfect for shopping and the aquarium. Breakfast and room service food were all very good.

Okay. So I travel a lot. I have stayed at quite good hotels to give an honest review. This hotel is nothing I have ever experienced The service at this place is out of this world. When I say you won’t lift a finger I mean it in the literal sense of it. From check in to check out. There are a million pple waiting to just assist you with ANYTHING. It was our anniversary and my husband wanted to impress me so he booked the island room. My goodness!!! The space, the luxury, the deco, the design, the shower, that huge bath tub , the views from the balcony. This place is breathtaking The breakfast!!! They had me at champagne and oysters for breakfast. It’s a buffet of anything luxurious you can think of. I was having mimosas and caviar at 8 am on a buffet spread !!! Listen I travel a lot, I have been around but this was luxury on another level. Oh my the gym. If that gym doesn’t motivate you to work out. I don’t know what will I want to go back

Decided to go there for lunch- the lobby area has a nice restaurant where they also serve high tea. The sandwich was okay , fries were soggy. But the place is beautiful. It’s a nice spot for a drink with a view. When high tea is served there is also a pianist.

We were with a group of 5 couples visiting Cape Town. From the moment we walked in, the detail to first class service was felt by all of us! We stayed in the main lodge. The rooms were modern with beautiful decor. We had a large balcony that looked up to Table Mountain. I would love to see the rooms on the "island!" There is a canal that winds through the property where you can see paddleboarders, kayakers, and shuttle boats. The pool looks like a lake with beautiful landscaping, and it sounds and looks like a bird refuge. The service is some of the best we have ever encountered in our travels. Everyone, without exception, acknowledges you with their signature welcome sign of placing their hands over their heart and saying hello The service was also very responsive to any requests. We didn't have a chance to eat at Nobu, the restaurant by the lobby, but we thoroughly enjoyed having cocktails and dinner in their lobby where live music entertained us. O My husband and I were celebrating our 40th anniversary on the trip. One of the Guest Hosts, Lungi Mothibi, heard us mention it, and she surprised us with champagne and a cake that said Happy Anniversary on it that evening!

Absolutely beautiful. We only stayed for one night but wish we could have stayed longer! From start to finish the hotel was amazing. The room was gorgeous and they went above and beyond to celebrate a birthday for us. The breakfast buffet was unreal with tons of gluten free options. The location was very touristy and walkable! Everything was so luxurious and will definitely use One&Only again.

My wife and I visited the One and Only for an early light meal yesterday evening 5 June. The bar and 24 hour eating space is beautifully designed and decorated. A wonderful guitarist/singer provided perfect background entertainment. The service by Aubrey, his recommendations, and the quality of our meals, all were excellent. Thank you Aubury!

We arrived in Cape Town to start our South Africa adventure and we were delighted with this hotel. Such a lovely warm welcome, and then we were simply blown away when we got to our room. Beautiful views over the marina and looking out at Table mountain.. just wow. We stayed 4 nights, service throughout the hotel was brilliant and breakfast was a delight. My lasting memory is lying in the bath with a glass of Prosecco looking out at Table mountain with blue skies.. a perfect moment in time. Location is perfect.

Amazing hotel with exceptional service. We felt special from the moment we arrived - everyone from the front of house, concierge, waiters and bar staff to the doormen - they knew our names every time we appeared and nothing was too much trouble. Special shout out to Ash and Rocky in the bar who just went above and beyond. Only negative was that there was no vanity area in our room nor a shaver point. Minor points but tricky to get ready when the hairdryer can’t reach a mirror. Apart from these tiny points, we had the most wonderful stay.

This is a stunning hotel and I was on the fence if it should be 5 stars, but I opted for 4 because the location was not perfectly suited to my taste. That being said, some folks might really like the location. What was wonderful was the staff, the service, the OUTSTANDING buffet breakfast (oysters and every gourmet breakfast item you can imagine--and I'm fussy). Gorgeous roomy accomodations, etc etc. All lovely. The incredible staff can't change the location, which is on a pier that, although lively and full of cool shops and restaurants, and even a haunt of locals, seems a bit generic to me. I liked Camps Bay as a location better--but it's off the beaten track, or perhaps an in town hotel for atmosphere and local flavor. If you want luxury and convenience, this is the place for you! If you want a little more local and unique, it's great but...
