Excellent accomodations , great food, service and management will treat you as old friends. Shuttle to the train station to visit Machu Pichu, upon returning from an all day hike their spa, sauna and hot tub can not be any better. Our Cabin/Tent, was great for a group of 7. You can feel the magic of the Peruvian mountains at Qolqas Eco Resort in Ollantaytambo Peru.

After a few restless days in Cusco I arrived at Las Qolqau Eco Resort. It was as if I had found a little piece of paradise on earth. The entire site was in bloom with the most beautiful colorful flowers. There were butterflies and hummingbirds flying. The sound of the rivers had a soothing and meditative effect. In no time I completely relaxed. The staff is very friendly - with an extra compliment to Jack & Charley for running the restaurant with so much love and dedication - and the service is good. I really enjoyed the massages and wellness - thank you Laura - and I slept wonderfully in a nice, large bed. As far as I'm concerned, a top experience in a top location. I'm sure I'll come back again!

Wonderful place. Loved every minute of my stay. Nice and friendly staff, good food and a lovely room. The room was also very clean. Nature is amazing around Las Qolqas. The wellness was nice to. I recommend to stay here when you would visit the sacred valley!

This place is a hidden gem. I am a picky customer and I had an incredible experience. Set in a small valley and surrounded by mountains, the views are incredible no matter which way you turn. The beds are comfy and the tents very well appointed. My tent 6 was next to a stream, and it cradled me to sleep every night. The food is truly outstanding( all made from their locally-grown ingredients), they have unlimited filtered water that was perfect for my sensitive stomach, and the staff is very friendly and genuinely helpful. In fact, most of the information I got about my subsequent Peru explorations came from the staff at Las Qolqas. Their manager Hector is one the top professionals I have met in the hospitality field globally- and I travel a lot, both for work and pleasure. I sadly didn’t have the time to try their spa but I highly recommend scheduling it in advance in the evening once the stars come out, bc the hot tub is outdoors straight under the stars and next to a stream, too. One thing I’d mention is I wouldn’t use the company they work with for airport transfer- but I left that feedback with the hotel as well and by the time you read it they probably will have switched companies already. They are truly attentive to guest concerns.

Amazing resort in stunning location. We flew into Lima on a Saturday evening, spent one night in Lima and then flew to Cusco the following day (Sunday). We live at sea level and have experienced mild altitude sickness once before on another trip in a different country, so took advice from others on Tripadvisor and left Cusco immediately to base ourselves in the Sacred Valley to acclimatise. We decided to do that at Las Qolqas. What a great decision. Airport transfer taxi arranged by the hotel was great; the resort is amazing and what a stunning location. Ollantaytambo is a lovely place, and the resort is just far enough out to be extremely peaceful and beautiful but close enough for an easy walk to and from the town, along the river (about 25 minutes). Whilst we love hiking, we are not fans of camping (we'll do it only if essential!) but I wouldn't even categorise this resort as 'glamping' as it's much better than that - the lodges are technically partially canvas but they have wooden window and door frames and a full bathroom so really they are more of a 'luxury cabin'. Very comfortable beds, lovely linens, great quality wooden furniture, a safe, a mini fridge... see? Not glamping! Some on here have commented on the rooms being a little dark and they are, though light in the bathroom is better and the hotel provides a lantern to use for walking but this is also helpful in the room if for some reason you need it to be brighter. I definitely wouldn't consider this an issue. Each cabin has an undercover outside space with chairs, bench and table and that's a lovely space to sit in too. We didn't need it but a large umbrella was provided in the cabin also, a nice touch. Each cabin has hedging/ borders with a different plant so as well as being numbered they are named after that plant. We were in 5 'verbena' with verbena hedges - others were fuchsia, etc. Stunning setting and great amenities. The grounds are immaculately maintained. All the staff are lovely. Whilst we make an effort with language, our Spanish isn't great and all staff spoke good English to varying levels. Filtered water is available freely on request from bar/ reception and a new flask of filtered water is left in your bathroom each day for drinking/ tooth brushing etc. The common areas of the resort have lovely decor, and there are some nice seating areas inside and outside. Some board games are left around too and we took advantage of these. We had occasional issues connecting to the wifi but generally this was fine and the signal good. We stayed four nights and were happy with this decision. The first day we arrived late-ish and had a lovely free welcome drink and then a great dinner at the resort. The next day we had a lazy start to the day then spent the afternoon exploring Ollentaytambo, including the ruins. The following day we self-guided ourselves on the hiking path (trail head c.200m from the hotel) to Puma Marca - took is about 1 hr 45 up and about 1 h15 down, and we spe

We stayed for two nights as a base for our visit to Machu Picchu. Words are difficult to describe the beauty of the property. You are right at the foot of majestic mountains and the river running through the property only adds to the serenity. Service was fantastic and the rooms were great. The restaurant was also excellent. Our family of four (2 adults and 2 kids) stayed in one of the two bedroom lodges and it afforded the right amount of space for our needs. Would highly recommend.

Exceptional place to stay in Ollantaytambo with less than a 5 minute drive to the center of town. The grounds and views were amazing and you can tell that they take very good care of the facilities. Service and food were also great, and the room was modern and clean. Would absolutely stay here again.

We LOVED our stay at Las Qolqus Eco Resort! My only regret is that we did not stay longer. The setting could not be more tranquil and lovely. The accommodations are comfortable and beautiful as well. It is a little paradise and was the perfect place to stay before heading to Machu Picchu the next day. Get there early so you can fully enjoy this gem.

Los Qolqas is a 20 minute walk from Ollataytambo but don’t let that put you off. It’s a lovely walking following the river into town. The rooms are very comfortable, the WiFi really fast and the staff super-friendly with special note to Charlie the barman and Angel who does all the transfers. The grounds are beautifully kept and it really is a little oasis. The sound of the gushing river puts you to sleep - really! Do take warm clothes as they like to keep all the doors open at all times, hence the staff and even the chef wearing gilets all the time! Definitely recommend
