As you enter, your senses are assaulted by the plum covered grand entrance stairway to the reception. This quirky. cozy, boutique property resonates with the atmosphere of the 1920's. Mind you, rooms have all the modern amenities; elevator, wi-fi, honesty bar, etc. Keeping with the theme, you actually are provided a key to open your guest room. On the lower level is BarFly's , a sexy, yet subdued bar; perfect for a rendezvous or a late night cocktail. And of course, music from the 1920-40's playing in the background. They offer an adventurous cocktail menu, and I tried (for the first time) an absinthe sour; terrific! The hotel staff is a combination of typical Austrian efficiency and helpfulness. The Josefine is conveniently located on a quiet street off the Mariahifestrasse shopping district, and a one minute walk to the Underground station. A real gem tucked away in Vienna's 6th district.

Man bekommt den ganzen Tag gratis guten Kaffee beim Frühstücksautomaten und kann ihn dann in der schön gestalteten Lounge genießen. Das Parken in der Gerngross-Garage war sehr teuer. Ein Angefangener Tag wird anscheinend als ganzer Tag gerechnet. Bei 2 Übernachtungen zahlt man also für 4 Tage. Vielleicht könnte die Unterkunft da eine Alternative anbieten.

Let's break down my experience into two parts. First part is the utter lack of customer service presented by the hotel manager and the second part will be the room/hotel itself. I showed up on a Thursday night with my two teenagers for a 3 night stay. The manager asked why we had two rooms. I let him know we only had one room and showed him my printed reservation. He said that there were two reservations and that I had made a mistake and must pay for both rooms. He literally said it just like that. I explained that it must be a mistake, I never received an email confirmation of any kind so would have had no way of knowing that the website had booked two reservations. He said it was my fault and that I must have deleted the emails. Since I was in a foreign country and wanted to move past the mixup, I offered to pay the first night and asked him to rent out the room for the next two nights. Given it was a weekend in Vienna and that his hotel was sold out, I thought that was a good compromise. He agreed. Well, the short story is he rented the room out for Friday and Saturday at 40% of what I paid and said I would have to pay the difference plus the entire first night. We had a lively conversation about his lack of customer service, his unwillingness to compromise in any way, and his desire to blame me for the mistake. After about 15 minutes of this, he said that if I didn't pay this amount he would charge me for the full reservation cost of all 3 nights. Needless to say, it was a ridiculous interaction and horrible. So if you choose to stay at this hotel, just know that any mix up (your fault or not) will be blamed on you. As far as the hotel. The only thing going for it is it's location. Right on the main shopping street. The rooms are insanely small, even by European standards, the bathroom is about 6ft x 4ft, and the decor is old. It really is a 2-3 start hotel at best. Also, I booked my room in advance directly on the hotel website and the cost appears to have been considerably more than what you could reserve via Kayak or TripAdvisor, etc. So in conclusion the manager was terrible, deceptive, greedy, inflexible, and lacking integrity. The hotel itself was okay with it's primary benefit being it's location. Good Luck!

Almost perfect. The entrance requires a buzz-in , 20 feet a few steps up to 2 very small elevators and sometimes another buzz-in to a small reception area. The place is spotless, our room was large and accommodated 3 with no trouble. Breakfast was excellent - continental style (eggs, small hot dogs, a variety of cheese, yoghurts, muesli and cereal, nuts, jams and excellent rolls. As many have said, the location is ideal. Few amenities but ideal as basic and affordable base. Staff were warm, friendly and helpful.

Jazz In The City Hotel 28 February - 2 March 2023 Room 500 5 stars for its cleanliness and service! Location: We took the Vienna Airport Cab from the airport to the hotel. We paid Euro 37 (one way). It was very convenient. It took about 30 minutes. The driver drove carefully and was on time to fetch us at the airport. The hotel is accessible to the underground and shopping area. Reception: Excellent and very helpful! We were able to check in early and the room was already ready when we arrived. Room: Modern, fresh and very clean indeed! The bedsheets, pillow covers, towels and bed were all immaculately clean and dust free. It has all the amenities that you need. Our room was located in a quiet area. Bathroom/Toilet: Very clean indeed! Breakfast: Excellent breakfast! You can order sunny side up or omelette which is freshly cooked. Very clean and fresh breakfast area. Check out: Fast and effective! Recommendation: Why not paint the ceiling of the room white and paint the water pipes black? It will give a smooth, clean and fresh feel.
