We had a very warm welcome from Andres and we enjoyed the introduction to his wonderful family home, which has been restored beautifully, and is immaculate. The gardens, grounds and pool are are beautifully kept too, with some very attractive seating areas , in different corners. We enjoyed being there for the local festa, eating at local restaurants, and walking along the banks of the Minho. Cannot finish without mentioning the SPECTACULAR buffet breakfast! We have never seen such a wonderful selection of home made goodies, served in the very elegant dining room! It was a joy and a privilege to visit, and we would love to return on a future visit to the area! Highly recommend!

Our stay at Villa Idalina was beyond our imagination. It's a magnificent building where we felt very at home. The breakfast is outstanding and abundant with a gorgeous presentation. Our room was very cozy and elegant with a delightful charm. The host, Andres' attention to detail is meticulous and he anticipated our needs. We highly recommend staying here.

Pela visualização prévia das fotos pressentimos estarmos perante um alojamento invulgar. Com a estadia confirmamos tratar-se de um espaço completamente distinto e raro. É espantoso como foi alcançada de forma irrepreensível a recuperação de um palacete já com mais de 100 anos. Rigor e amor, eis a receita tão delicada e apaixonadamente aplicada pelo casal atual proprietário. Muitas e sinceras felicitações ao André e Susana por terem a ousadia de lançar mãos à árdua tarefa de manter viva e pujante uma jóia da arquitetura romântica, mantendo intacto o esplendor das suas origens e tradições. Resta salientar a extrema simpatia do casal André e Susana incansáveis no perfeito acolhimento.

In 1 woord: geweldig. Prachtig gebouw, heerlijk ontbijt, lekker zwembad. Overal zitjes buiten en binnen. Ontzettend gastvrij. En omdat we vroeg vertrokken een heerlijk ontbijt mee. Prachtige historie, heerlijk bed. Goede badkamer. Ik kan het iedereen aanraden.

Numa palavra: extraordinário. À chegada tivemos oportunidade de ter uma visita guiada pelo Andrés, neto dos segundos proprietários de Villa Idalina. A história, contada por ele, tem outro encanto - sabe todos os pormenores, explica tudo, satisfaz as curiosidades, e de repente, sentimos que estamos dentro de um filme ou de uma história. O local é lindo de morrer, e ao conhecermos a sua origem, ganha outro encanto. A Susana, por sua vez, é muito querida, sempre com um sorriso afável para oferecer, sempre disponível para o que precisarmos, não se cansa de perguntar se está tudo bem. Enfim, que pessoa maravilhosa! Está tudo muito bem preservado, a decoração é linda, os elementos fazem sentido juntos e transportam-nos ao início do século XX. Quarto super confortável, vistas lindas, pequeno almoço delicioso, ótimo ambiente. Adoramos a experiência, queremos muito repetir, e vamos recomendar certamente aos nossos amigos e familiares. Hemos quedado más que encantados con esta visita guiada a Villa IDALINA, un precioso e inolvidable día, SUSANA y Andrés sus dueños nos contaron toda la historia de esta casa indiana, es una verdadera joya, todo original desde 1911 lo conservan espectacularmente, los estucados son impresionantes, las habitaciones son extraordinarias una estancia allí tiene que ser increíble, el Brunch que nos prepararon estaba TODO EXQUISITO, estoy convencida de que todo aquel que vaya se sentirá muy satisfecho con la experiencia total!! SÚPER RECOMENDABLE!!👏👏👏👏🥰

O Villa Idalina é um palacete extremamente bem conservado. A proprietária teve a amabilidade de orgulhosamente nos fazer uma visita guiada, que adorámos. O quarto era enorme, com uma decoração irrepreensível, de época. De salientar os promenores nas casas de banho, por exemplo (torneiras orginais, bem como estruturas de aquecimento de água). Os espaços comuns são encantadores, dando a sensação que viajámos no tempo. O pequeno-almoço e brunch são muito completos, tendo em conta o tipo de alojamento. Não dou 5 estrelas porque à noite os espaços comuns ficam inacessíveis aos hóspedes e não há sequer uma televisão no quarto, ficando os hóspedes limitados, sem opções de lazer.
