Great service! Great lunch and good dinner! They propose you the snorkelling with the sharks which is amazing! It is must do thing in Fiji and in life! They have also a good diving center and you can dive also with the sharks which is awesome The shared bathroom facility is really clean and new! Just a negative thing is the safari room, the tent room is great idea but it needs some adjustment and if it is windy you feel like you are sleeping after the stars! But If they improve the tents it is perfect! I liked also the cocktails and the guy at the bar was really funny!

Overall a poor experience. Customer service. Most of the staff are nice and friendly and have the bula spirit, however our stay was tainted by some unfriendly staff at the main restaurant by the pool, which some of the staff don’t want to help providing baby chair and just forgot about the requests after all. The restaurant staff just simply looks very unhappy or tired for some reasons. We have met some very friendly face and lovely staff, but it was unfortunate the restaurant customer service is consistently horrible. Front desk staff shows don’t show the same level of hospitality as to other hotels we stay in Fiji. Room: It’s showing it’s aged but the view is fantastic and room is well equipped and spacious, it suits well for family with a plan to cook. We notified the staff that two of the pendant lights aren’t working on day one. Yet nothing is fixed until check out. Food: We try buffet breakfast and dinners at the main restaurant and also take away from the red Buddha restaurant. Breakfast is pretty standard and average considering it’s Hilton, we stay at many Hilton hotels before, the food is one of the worst experience we had, in particular the buffet dinner, choices are very limited, it’s pretty much just a corner of food , pretty subpar comparing to Sofitel or Sheraton. Overall. With similar price it is hard to recommend this hotel to family especially with kids, the staff seems to have too much trouble to handle the demand of young kids and didn’t stand up to the great Hilton branding which is a bit of a shame. Rooms got beautiful view, foods aren’t great. The only bright spot would be the spacious hotel room.

Transportation: From vuda Marina, the hotel provides free pick-up and drop-off. Going to other places needs to communicate with the island owner. The boss is super enthusiastic. Going to cloud9 also found his friends to send us. Although the boat to cloud9 is not good, it is very exciting (500fjd a boat) Hygiene: Health is still very clean, Sapporo is around the island after snorkeling, you will bring a lot of sand to the bed. Environment: The environment is great, the beach on the front of the hotel is very garbage, but the beach on the other side of the island is very good. Focus! Focus! Focus! Snorkeling around the island can see turtles, and luckily you can see ”friendly” sharks! Service: Service top! After the explosion of Shangri-La brand hotel (brand hotel is a lot of people, the service staff is not very enthusiastic, even ordering is not positive, water is not given). The service staff on the island will even remember your name to say hello. When there are many people, there are kava welcome parties and bonfire parties. It makes people feel that all aspects are served very thoughtfully. After returning to the main island, the hotel will arrange for you to rent. We emphasized that we have to play the watch (the driver who does not play the watch is slaughtered indiscriminately), the taxi from vuda Marina to Shangri-La hotel is less than 80 dollars, but from Shangri-La to the airport is slaughtered indiscriminately by brand hotel 120 dollars. Advantages: warm service, super enthusiasm, few people in the island, can play alone on the beach, the island is very quiet, the water around the island is also very good, there are many fish and turtles Disadvantages: There are many free activities (boating, paddleboarding) that need to be consulted by yourself. There are no bright corals nearby. The brunch is relatively simple. Wi-Fi is not good.

We spent an amazing nights at the Octopus island staying in a poppies room which was an absolute treat. We were meant to be in New Zealand but flooding in the north island meant we took a flight to Fiji instead and it was such a good choice. Because we stayed so long and late notice we got a great deal with transfers and meals included. The room was lovely. Nicely decorated, Lots of lovely wood. Good it has a fridge with a few drinks in that were included. It has a private day bed allocated on the beach. Most people who were there were island hopping and lots said the food there was the best they’d had had. We were pleased we made the choice we did it was so relaxing. As the food is from a menu rather than a buffet for most days the menu could have been rather repetitive and limited for a vegetarian but they made a special vegetarian menu for my husband. Offering him lots of options. I’d highly recommend getting involved in the activities. The crab racing was very fun. I came first place. The only disappointment was one day the bingo didn’t run which as there is no entertainment I’d been looking forward to. There are a few games to play like monopoly and cards. But it’s good to have your own entertainment like a card game or books. It’s not a party place really unless the other guests are up for it. That worked for us. Went on a snorkel trip that was lovely. Make sure you reapply sun cream as I managed to sun burn my bottom!! They arranged a proper big boat transport for us there as it was a bit rough and we got the island small boat back to the resort. Don’t hesitate to book. It was so lovely.

This hotel is located in a place with beautiful mountains and clear waters. On the beach facing the west, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset. The service of the hotel is very good. The service staff does the cleaning very carefully. It is clean and tidy everywhere. It is very comfortable, you can swim by the sea or in the hotel pool, it is a good place for vacation.

We were lucky enough to experience the Adults Only Waitui Beach Club Package which gave us a little bit more luxury of being pampered at the Spa and entry into the more sophisticated Journal Lounge. At the lounge we had daily complimentary high tea which was delightful, Bubbly with Breakfast and delicious complimentary sunset cocktails or Gin and Tonic with a beer for Hubby! The staff in the Executive Lounge went above and beyond with their service, in particular Payal who had such grace and Professionalism, Kara with her infectious laugh and Agnes who was a delight with her quiet demeanor. Mili, Loyalty Supervisor, thank you for checking with us that our stay was meeting our expectation (which it was) and giving us an insight on how the resort was travelling since Covid. Waitui Beach Club Grill...you cook an excellent steak and your staff's recommendation of the fish curry was spot on considering I hadn't tasted one before. Thank you to your staff who always made us feel welcome, especially Vau who always remembered our names throughout our stay! A big thank you to Claire too for indulging me with some French conversation which I remembered from my school days! Finally, thank you to Solo for your professionalism and friendly nature in both checking us in and out. We ran out of paper to note down more staff but please note you are all exceptional too. The website photos makes this look like a luxe stay but the bures have a tired, worn-out feel and need a lot of maintenance. I suspect the pictures were taken fifteen years ago when the resort opened and not much upkeep has been done since. The floors are faded and scratched - a simple refinishing would go a long way. The structure has apparently settled as there are gaps in the joints and the bathroom ceiling sags. Speaking of the bathroom, the shower head has corroded out in a few places and delivers a seriously inconsistent spray. Design-wise, the water closet is too small: everything is based on one-meter squares and it's smaller than an airplane toilet. (I hit my head on the door every time I sat down on the toilet). The water heater for our bure is much too small (probably 100 litres) and running out of hot water was the norm. Also no showers back-to-back, the heater needs recovery time. While the photos show all of these wide-open doors to let the outside in, when we suggested it the staff said it was a bad idea because of all the mosquitos. They also helpfully suggested that we don't take a walk to the beach down the road as a number of guests have been robbed while walking down the road. I'm not sure how the website can claim that the bures are 860 square feet; the interior space is 4x8 meters (344 sq feet) and including the outside verandah, the size is 52 sq meters (560 sq feet). Maybe the footprint of the canvas roof is 860 square feet but claiming that as the size of the bure is quite a stretch. On the positive side: The grounds are beautiful, the staff was very helpful and the food was quite good. If the owners had just taken six months of the COVID shutdown to perform some routine maintenance, and if the grounds were in a safer location, this would have been an easy recommendation. As it is, we wouldn't return and I wouldn't recommend it to friends...

Chinese family guests, I think 2 to 4 days on the island is not right, it is worth the accommodation experience. The accommodation on the island has its own characteristics, the house is very special, and the sea view is within easy reach. Very shallow beach. Fijian cultural activities with children on the island can participate, hair braiding is 120 RMB and 40 Fijian dollars. Children's buffet is 55 Fijian dollars and 165 RMB. Catering is a problem when taking the elderly, the food is too westernized, and there is no choice. If the elderly have taboos and high blood sugar, please consider carefully. There are 3 restaurants on the island, but often only one is open. The average head consumption is between 240 and 330 RMB per meal. For island expenses, make sure you have cash or multiple credit cards.
