Location: About a 10-minute walk from Aomori Station, right on the main street, so it's very easy to find. The decor isn't brand new, but it's very well-maintained.
Service: The front desk and restaurant staff were all very warm and friendly. My experience from check-in to check-out was quite good. This hotel brand offers complimentary late-night ramen, popsicles after a hot spring bath, and Yakult in the morning. This Aomori branch also had self-serve apple juice and coffee next to the front desk, which was a nice touch.
Facilities: My room was windowless, which felt a bit overpriced for the off-peak season. However, their rooftop onsen (hot spring) is excellent. The onsen floor has Nebuta festival decorations, and the indoor and outdoor areas combined are quite spacious. There's also a sauna.

JiandanjihaoThe location is fantastic, right above the station. The hotel is very new, and I loved the three-part bathroom (toilet, sink, and shower/bath all separate). The hotel's hot spring is quite unique, with a small pool filled with 'yukemuri' (hot spring minerals) and lots of fresh large apples floating in it. The yukemuri is special too; after soaking, my skin felt incredibly smooth. Breakfast was excellent, and the service was warm and welcoming. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time.
Just a small suggestion, hoping the hotel sees this: for environmental reasons, if guests opt for towel-only changes, it would be great if you could also provide trash bags so we can change them ourselves.

The hotel staff were incredibly friendly. The Hakkoda Ropeway was canceled, and we were planning to take a public bus to Sukayu Onsen ourselves. When the staff learned of our plans, they proactively arranged a shuttle bus for us. We also found out about a snow hiking tour at Sukayu Onsen on Xiaohongshu and decided last minute to join it. A special thanks to the front desk attendant, OMA SAN, who helped us communicate with the hiking tour guide, allowing us to successfully join the tour and avoid any regrets on this trip.

We were two people. The room we stayed at was not big. If you have two suitcases it will be hard to open up both of them at the same time. We didn’t have suitcases, and therefore the space was not a problem for us. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. I lost my gloves at a bus, and they helped me to get them back. You also got apple juice as a welcome drink at the front desk (very nice apple juice!). We used baggage storage after checking out, which was no problem. The room was very clean. When we were there they had an eco plan, which was that the room got cleaned only once at our 4 night stay, but could get towels whenever we wanted. We though it was good from the environment perspective (but we decided to not have any cleaning at all).
Overall I though our stay at this hotel was very good.

Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel's facilities and service.
The standard room we stayed in was clean and hygienic, but the bed was a bit small. The soundproofing was not okay.

MDevThis hostel is conveniently located near Lake Towada. It can be easily accessed from the JR bus station. There is a convenience store at about 100 meters of distance from the hostel. The building is a bit outdated and the facilities look old. But please remember that this is a hostel and is affordable. The staff are extremely polite and welcoming. They have a big heart and serve with their full sincerity. When I reached the hostel early, there was nobody at the front desk, but there was a note for me with my room details. Later at night, When I mentioned that I do not eat meat, and I will manage with only rice, the lady, Ms. Tomoko quickly prepared fish without even thinking twice and asked me to pay very little. Even the next day she prepared cold noodles along with rice and charged extremely less. The point here is not the money but her big heart in serving without thinking about money or profit. I highly recommend this hostel purely by considering at the generosity and sweet, politeness of the staff there.
This hostel is conveniently located even to walk along Oirase gorge. Easier to stay here and take bus to either to the northern end - Yakeyama or the southern, lake side end Nenokuchi and walk along the gorge and return back to the hostel. This way the trip becomes affordable and easier.

The hotel's location is super convenient! I booked on the same day and it was excellent value for money. It's about a 3-5 minute walk from Aomori Station, and there are plenty of great restaurants nearby. The Fish and Vegetable Market, Ichiba Sushi, and Jiraigen are all within walking distance. Plus, there's a Lawson convenience store right downstairs.
The room size isn't small for Japan, and all the amenities are easily accessible.

Guest UserThe hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Aomori Station and isn't on the main commercial street, but it's just around the corner from it. It's very close to Hirota Shrine, almost directly across the street. As soon as you enter the hotel, you're greeted by the scent of apples. There are apple models on display on the first floor, and the elevators are decorated with various apple illustrations and names. The breakfast selection is quite limited. While there are a few local specialties, the overall variety of dishes is too small. The scallop meat was very tiny and shredded, not whole pieces, putting it on par with the breakfast offerings at budget chain hotels.

The staff were very helpful and the facilities were clean, so I was very satisfied.
When I wanted to order at the hotel restaurant, it was inconvenient to have to call the staff verbally. They weren't always nearby, so

Service was good. There was a staff who is stationed at the entrance, checking with guest who arrived by car. They will ask for your name, provided clear instructions of where to park. Unfortunately, I have accidentally left the lights in the car switched on. A few moments later when I was doing my check-in, the front desk staff quickly informed me about it. The facilities are good. Food is really good, very different from the other Hoshino resorts in Aomori that I have stayed. At KAI Tsugaru, it is Kaiseki instead of the usual buffet style. The staff took pains to explain and share the reason for each dish that was served. There are only 41 traditionally-furnished and generously-sized rooms offering both Western and Japanese-style designs which gives a very unique and dedicated experience as compared to other hotels which has many rooms.
