Detian Waterfall is beautiful, but the Skywalk is not worth it

As the only cross-border waterfall in the country, Detian Waterfall is still worth a visit. It is recommended to plan your arrival time in the afternoon or evening, stay overnight at Detian Village at the entrance of the scenic area, and visit the scenic area the next morning. After booking a hotel in Detian Village, you can drive into the scenic area, where parking costs 30 yuan, without time limit. The night view of Detian Village, like a low-end version of Hongya Cave, is somewhat brilliant and charming. The streets are filled with the sounds of vendors speaking Mandarin with a Guangxi accent, along with Vietnamese-style goods, bringing an exotic experience. The prices are acceptable, and the locals I met were very down-to-earth. At the hotel where I stayed, the merchandise counter was unattended, and you just take what you need and pay for it. For breakfast, I had chicken rice noodles outside, and the owner said I was the first customer, so he gave me a discount of 5 yuan. Winter is the dry season for Detian Waterfall, and after 11 a.m., Vietnam will release water to increase the flow of the waterfall, so there is no need to enter the scenic area too early in winter. After entering the scenic area, first walk to the left, where you can choose to take a bamboo raft to get close to the waterfall. Half of Detian Waterfall belongs to Vietnam, so maybe by taking a bamboo raft, you'll have technically been abroad. At Tongguo Square, on the left is the Sino-Vietnamese style street and the entrance to the Skywalk, and on the right is the viewing platform and exit. If you go to the Skywalk, you will also circle back to the viewing platform on the right. Taking the magic carpet to the Skywalk and the slide down the mountain, the on-site ticket is 78 yuan. The so-called magic carpet is just a conveyor belt used in factories. I had only seen belts transporting ore before, but this time it was an eye-opener to see belts transporting people. Due to the angle, you can't see the waterfall from the Skywalk, only the mountains and villages of Vietnam. This ordinary scenery is common in Guangxi, so I didn't take a single photo. The Skywalk is just a chicken rib, it's not worth going up, but since you're here, you might as well. If you go up, there's really nothing to see. If you have plenty of time, are not afraid of getting tired, and want to save money, you can walk up to the Skywalk from the exit of the slide without spending any money. On the way back, there are several viewing platforms. When you reach a mall marked 'Exit', don't go in just yet. The last viewing platform is behind and to the side of the mall, and it's easy to miss. This is the viewing platform with the widest view, perfect for taking photos with the waterfall.
