Nanjing City Wall Museum | Free and Worth Visiting A Great Indoor Destination for Summer Tours

I decided to visit Nanjing on a whim recently, and unfortunately, I couldn't book tickets for the 🏛️ Nanjing Museum 😭. I took the kids to several other museums instead, especially the 👍 Nanjing City Wall Museum, which I found to be particularly suitable for taking children 👦 or just for a stroll by oneself, to learn more about the history of the Nanjing City Wall in detail. ✅ Follow the sequence of the visit, the historical and cultural exhibition of the Nanjing City Wall, 'Magnificent City Ramparts', is expected to take about 1.5-2 hours. ✅ The museum's exhibits mainly consist of cultural relics, 🖼️ graphic materials, and interactive videos, all themed around the Nanjing City Wall, and the collection is very rich. ✅ There are three multimedia areas: 🌌 an introduction to the celestial phenomena and the city, animated short films about foreign envoys entering Nanjing to pay tribute 🦒, and a sand table displaying the full view of Nanjing City, which is informative and interesting. ✅ Moreover, the most impressive part of the museum is an exhibition area of city wall bricks, where the thick bricks 📝 bear the names of the brickmakers, from the prefects and county magistrates supervising the brickmaking project to the kiln workers and molders who made the city bricks, serving as a rich database of Chinese surnames and culture.
