The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York

Gleaning from the Met. This time, I mainly lingered in the European paintings and Chinese paintings galleries. As I wandered, I saw many works that I had seen in textbooks and albums. Another surprise was finally seeing the complete scrolls. Our exhibitions often only reveal a small part of the scrolls, but here, you can see the entire scroll that stretches over ten meters long. The authors are, in order, Ingres, Vermeer, Caravaggio, Titian, Van Gogh, Monet, Ma Yuan, Xia Gui, and Guo Xi.
