The Lion King: The Prairie Legend on Broadway

New York Broadway The Lion King Musical | The Lion King I saw the super popular classic musical 'The Lion King' on Broadway today, and I really love it!!! It truly is a timeless masterpiece! The plot is adapted from the Lion King animation we watched as children. It tells the story of a young lion named Simba who grows and learns through his experiences, ultimately becoming the king of the jungle. Even the opening song is the classic 'Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba'! The stage design is really luxurious. The moment when all the animals appear and pay homage to Simba at the beginning is truly stunning! When the first giraffe came out, I already felt it was very exquisite, and then rhinos, elephants, antelopes, birds... I was amazed!! There was even a moment when I wanted to cry, realizing that someone was working hard to bring the scenes I saw in the cartoons of my childhood to life! Including the giant red sun swaying cacti, the turbulent waterfalls, the silhouettes of towering trees just like in the animation... Every set piece, including the costumes and props of the actors, shows the dedication of the production team, and it's really ingenious and amazing! The transitions are also very smooth~ The moment when Simba's father's giant face appears, I got goosebumps!! It's both majestic and sacred, and makes you want to kneel down and worship, haha! The design of the hyenas is really scary, perfectly capturing their cunning, sly, and ferocious nature. In addition, each animal has its own distinct personality! When they mentioned 'hakuna matata', it was really too cute! Especially the two funniest animals, they really carried most of the humor in the play, so so so funny, the two of them with their witty banter, every time they appeared on stage it was a joy! In short, it's really a play for all ages, children can have a lot of fun and adults can find nostalgic memories, it's really great!
