What's even more worthwhile than Nanchang Ancient Street is

Centered around the ancient canal, Nanchang Ancient Street and Nanxiang Ancient Alley are situated to the left and right, respectively. The Nanxiang neighborhood is clearly more characteristic of the Jiangnan residences than Nanchang Ancient Street, but it is much quieter than the famous Nanchang Ancient Street across the river. There are still a small number of ancient Ming and Qing residential buildings and Shikumen merchant villas in Nanxiang, with mottled walls covered in lush green vines. A few residential buildings are non-commercial, filled with the breath of life.
