It belongs to Heshan Xianyue Community. The temple was founded in the late Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty (1712—1722), and because it stands alone on a solitary ridge and is hidden in deep mountains with few human traces, the history of its destruction and reconstruction is not clear. In the late Qing Dynasty, a monk from Nanshan Temple in Zhangzhou, Zhuanmi, hung his tin staff here, worked hard, and rebuilt the temple with gathered workers, and the residing monks persisted in agricultural Zen. The temple is designed according to traditional Chinese temples, emphasizing axial symmetry, and the architectural complex is based on yellow walls and yellow tiles, representing the traditional Minnan style.
