I've scoured the web and found only snippets of information, indicating that this Qing Dynasty building was constructed in the 19th year of the Jiaqing era... The puppet-like figures with masks from the Nuo opera and the spirit medium image from 'Big Fish & Begonia' bear a resemblance, embedded in the ancient opera stage for over 200 years. With their eerie smiles, the Chinese horror style is both bizarre and enchanting, serene, vivid, and enduring.
