| Painting the same ink-washed Hongcun. In Huangshan City, Anhui Province, there is an ancient village with a long history, named Hongcun. Hongcun is located within the territory of Hongcun Town, Yi County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province, and is a brilliant pearl among the ancient villages in southern Anhui. The day after coming down from Mount Huang, I went to Hongcun. Upon entering Hongcun, the first thing that catches the eye is the calm and mirror-like South Lake. The lake is wide and the ripples reflect the blue sky, white clouds, and surrounding ancient buildings, resembling a natural ink painting. In the winter, Hongcun is quiet and deserted, without the hustle and bustle of people coming and going, which highlights the ancient tranquility and simplicity even more. This ancient village was founded during the Shaoxing period of the Southern Song Dynasty. For hundreds of years, it has carried the vicissitudes of history, witnessing countless stories and changes. Now, the cured meat hung by the villagers, the cats in the corners, the lanterns under the eaves, and the guesthouses one by one, all tell the tales of everyday life, forming a poem that praises life
