"I was very tired after the flight and arrived at an inconvenient time for the usual hotel check-in. I wrote to the owner, and he agreed to check me in from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. so I could rest well before my next flight. The hotel owner picked me up from the airport and drove me back very quickly. I highly recommend it for a relaxing stay during a long layover."

AAnonymous UserThis was my favorite place to stay during my month in China! Excellent location, once you figure it out it's easy to find (my taxi drive had a bit of trouble at first). I stayed here the longest so it felt the most homey, and I had most of the things I needed for everyday life. The first week I stayed here was booked through my Chinese colleagues, so this may have influenced the room I was given or similar.
My room was quiet and comfortable. Everything was clean. There was a safe and plenty of towels and many other things I needed for daily life. The manager, Carrie, spoke English very well and was super competent. The security guards and maids were very friendly.
I basically only have one critique: There were no pots and pans, oil or anything really for daily cooking. There was a fridge, a mini stove top, a kettle and a microwave as well as four plates, two sets of chopsticks, two forks and two knives, two small spoons and two mugs. There was no kitchen knife or peeler, cutting board or anything like that (or sponge & dish soap!). So the stove top was basically useless. That was disappointing for what is called a serviced apartment. The maid did clean dirty dishes, if there were any.

The location of the hotel is particularly superior, close to the transportation hub and core business district, so it is convenient and worry-free to travel, commute, go shopping and play, and save a lot of road troubles. Breakfast is a highlight, with rich and varied categories, full coverage of Chinese and Western flavors, fresh ingredients and good taste, which can accurately meet the needs of different tastes, intimate and meticulous service, and super comfortable overall experience. It must be repurchased next time you travel, and I sincerely recommend it to everyone!

MM303531****This hotel is great for a weekend getaway with kids. Juyongguan Great Wall and Shuiguan Great Wall are nearby, with Shuiguan Great Wall being closer and less crowded, though a bit challenging to climb. The hotel is nestled in the mountains, offering a pleasant environment with individual villas dotted up the hillside. Our room was quite far, so we needed to drive to the lobby and restaurant.
The hotel also offers many family-friendly activities. On our second morning, we participated in a valley hike, which was essentially a mountain climb – it requires some stamina.
There were also quite a few downsides. Given how spread out the rooms are and how far they are from the lobby, one would expect butler service, but there was none. Moreover, it was very difficult to get through to the front desk from the room phone. For a self-proclaimed 'family-friendly hotel,' there weren't even children's slippers in the room. After finally getting through on the phone, it took an hour for them to be delivered. Why weren't they provided directly at check-in when they saw we had a child?
The room itself was fairly large, but the bathroom lacked air conditioning/heating, and the shower was open-concept. This design might be fine in Sanya, but in Yanqing, showering at night was absolutely freezing. There was also water pooling, and when staff came to check, they said it was because the floor drain was too high, and nothing could be done, which was a bit frustrating.
We had two meals at the hotel restaurant; the food was good, albeit a bit pricey. We also ate at a farmhouse restaurant down the mountain where the iron pot stewed fish was delicious – I forgot its name, but it had “Tell Old Mo I want to eat fish” written on the wall.
Despite the downsides, it's still a good place for a weekend with kids. The hotel has an outdoor pool and a children's splash pool, which were closed due to the cold weather. We'll definitely bring the kids back in the summer.

MManaSuisseThe hotel is right across the entrance of the chairlift, and therefore the arrival of the toboggan slide. And 5 minutes from the cable car. Location is perfect but that also makes the place very crowded and noisy as there are thousands of visitors everyday. Breakfast buffet is from 7.30 to 9 am so pretty early but that allows you to go up the Great Wall before 8.30 which is when the crowd starts to arrive. Our room was big and the ground heater was working very well :)
There's a lot of stairs in the hotel so not very good if you have any issues walking. If you ask they will help you with the luggages. If you go there by car you have to give the hotel the plate number in order for them to inform the security guard so they can let your car enter the Great Wall area.

I stayed here with my baby for one night and I couldn't bear to leave! This is simply a fairy tale world tailored for parent-child families. The small ranch behind the B&B raises super friendly ostriches and sika deer, as well as peacocks, which makes the baby dance with joy~
The most surprising thing is the ecological fish pond that comes with the B&B! They will provide small fish nets and small buckets attentively. My baby screamed with excitement when he caught three goldfish (finally released them).
The breakfast is delicious and you can also barbecue.

11591584****I was on a business trip to Beijing by myself, and staying in this apartment felt a bit wasteful, haha. It could easily accommodate four or five people. First off, there's a security guard on the first floor, and food deliveries aren't allowed upstairs, which makes it feel very safe. It's also just a four-to-five-minute walk from the subway station and a large shopping mall, making it convenient to get anywhere. Highly recommended!
