The Museum of the First World War in Kansas City has been open to the public since 1926. The museum tells the story of how the First World War began, how the United States became involved, fought, ended, and laid the groundwork for World War II. The monument has an ancient Egyptian revival architecture. The sawn granite foundation lifts up the magnificent exterior wall made of Bedford stone and limestone, and enters the main entrance decorated with bronze patterns. You can see the corridors built by cave stones and terrazzo. The Lesur stone on the stair pedals comes from Minnesota, while the marble on the stair railings and railings comes from Tavernelle, Italy. Here every corner is solemn, and every heavy masonry seems to be telling people the price of their predecessors' freedom.
