Hotel Boss has a very convenient location, with easy access to public transport, restaurants and attractions. The surroundings are lively, and the hotel offers a good base for exploring Singapore. The views from the higher floors are also quite impressive, especially looking across the city and surrounding heritage areas.
However, I felt that the food and breakfast selection could be improved. The menu did not offer enough variety for international guests, and there seemed to be a stronger emphasis on Indian-style dishes. While Indian food is enjoyable and certainly has its place, a hotel serving guests from many different countries should provide a more balanced selection.
Suggestions for improving the food menu
I would recommend adding more:
Singaporean favourites such as nasi lemak, kaya toast, chicken rice and laksa
Western breakfast options such as pancakes, waffles, baked beans, hash browns and better-quality sausages
More fresh fruits and salads
More variety from one day to another rather than repeating the same dishes
For Indian guests, the hotel could still keep popular Indian breakfast items such as paratha, dosa, idli, sambar and a vegetarian curry, but these should ideally be part of a broader international buffet rather than dominating the selection.
Overall, Hotel Boss is well located and has a lot of potential. Improving the breakfast quality, variety and international selection would make the stay much better and give guests a stronger impression of the hotel.
