I stayed at "Hotel Rubino Kyoto Horikawa" facing Horikawa Dori street today. Unfortunately, the museum will close with tomorrow's check-out. I chose the last day and stayed there. The location of the hotel is Shimoru, Horikawa Shimochojacho. A river runs in front of the hotel. The cherry blossoms near the bus stop on the riverbank are in full bloom. The hotel is behind the cherry blossoms. Please see the photo. Stayed on March 30, 2023
It is a main road that runs north-south through Kyoto city. There are Nishi Honganji Temple, Nijo Castle, Seimei Shrine, etc. along the line, and it is an irresistible place for tourists just to pass by. There is a stream along this road, and it's fun to take a walk.
Horikawa-dori is a road that runs north-south in the center of Kyoto City, and the moat remains as the name suggests. I took a walk south from the return of Ichijo, but early cherry blossoms bloom on the return bridge and a stream flows under the bridge. Currently, it is a walking path of Greenland Park and is also a place of relaxation in the neighborhood.
One of the main lines that runs north-south through Kyoto city. It is located on the west side of Karasuma-dori, the main street in front of the station. Nishi Honganji Temple and Nijo Castle are along this road. Just breathe exhaust gas even if you walk.
A large street extending north from the station (slightly west).

It is a big street that extends north from the front of Kyoto Station. "Karasuma-dori" runs right in front of Kyoto Station, and the big street on the west side of this "Horikawa-dori" street is "Nishi Honganji" and "Nijo Castle". Because it is a big street, it is convenient to walk when you go sightseeing, and it is convenient to remember the name of this street.
