2. Zizhuyuan Park: Hidden within the Western Third Ring Road, the 'Little Jiangnan' Zizhuyuan is a rare bamboo-themed park in Beijing. The park's Chengxian Lake, also known as the Big Lake, has three docks located to the east, south, and north, with a total of 132 boats including four-person, six-person, and eight-person electric boats, as well as four-person pedal boats. In my opinion the Yuyuantan Park is a lovely park for a stroll or a day out. The park is easy accessible by subway and short walking distance. (line 1 - Stop: Military Museum (South Gate of the Yuyuantan park) or line 16- Stop: Yuyuantan Dongmen (East gate of the Yuyuantan park). It’s a large park with a beautiful lake and view of the television tower. There are many different trees and flowers and there are some really nice quirky pathways and forest areas. The facilities in the park are good and it’s easy to navigate. We went there a few days ago and the cherry blossom festival is really amazing ! there are a lot of beautiful decorations throughout the park and food/drink/souvenir options in cherry blossom style.
Yuyuantan Park is located at No. 10 West Third Ring Road Middle, Haidian District, Beijing. It was officially opened to the public on January 12, 1960.
