Beicong Pavilion is located in the east of Yanjiang Park, Xinlian Village Committee, Lishui Town, Nanhai District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. The pavilion was built in the eighteenth year of Hongzhi in the Ming Dynasty (1505), rebuilt in the Qing Xianfeng Bingchen year (1856) and the Guangxu Guiwei year (1883), and has been rebuilt several times since then. Sit south to north. Originally located in Xinlian Village, Lishui Town, the pavilion was relocated to its current location in July 1998. The pavilion is square in plan, with an area of 64 square meters. The pavilion body and upper cover are of wood, stone and tile structure. The eight-column top beam (the inner four columns are round Tokyo wood, the outer four columns are hexagonal granite columns), the height is about 9 meters, the double eaves are on the top of the mountain, the bucket arch is made of six pavilions, and the three copies are made without angs. There is no nail in the whole pavilion, and it is completely supported by the concave and convex brackets of the bucket arch. It is firm and solid, and has a unique shape and structure. It is a rare ancient pavilion in our province and has high historical and scientific value. In 1978, it was announced as a cultural relics protection unit in Guangdong Province.
