Langzhong is located in the northeastern part of Sichuan, in the upper and middle reaches of the Jialing River. Because it is situated between the Lang Mountain and the Lang River, this small town is named "Langzhong". "Langzhong" means "in the middle of Lang". In today's Langzhong Town both modern architecture and ancient historical streets coexist. This is place where tradition and modern reality have reached the perfect level of integration and balance. Langzhong's more than 2,300 years of history have left a rich legacy. In the area there are sites such as the Han Huanhou Tomb (Zhangfei Temple) where Zhangfei's body was kept, the Guanghua Building (which is named "First Building in Langzhong"), and the Baba Mosque—one of the holy places of Islam.
Langzhong Ancient Town is located along the bank of the Jialing River in Nanchong and is one of China’s four major ancient towns. Its more than 2000 years of history are well-preserved, and the town has an extremely unique layout. The famous general Zhang Fei of the Three Kingdoms Period once garrisoned at Langzhong for 7 years. In Langzhong, you can stroll the ancient lanes, visit the Zhang Fei Temple, look out across the whole town from Jinping Mountain, and enjoy the leisurely pace of local life. The folk customs here are rich and varied. The on-site performance of the show Langyuan Xianjing includes many folk performances and is worth watching. A lot of fun activities are available during the Spring Festival period.
Built in the Tang Dynasty, damaged by several fires, and rebuilt in the sixth year of the reign of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty, Huaguang Building is the landmark of the ancient city in Langzhong. The wooden structure of the Huaguang Building has steep stairs with room for only one person to pass at a time. The stairs squeak as you climb. The view from the top of the building is fantastic, extending to the ancient city. Looking afar, you can see tile houses in front of you and stone roads intertwined with each other.
Panda Paradise is located in the southern foothills of Jinping Mountain, located in Jiangnan Town in Langzhong City in Sichuan Province. It is a large amusement theme park. There is a variety of amusement equipment and other facilities in the park, such as cultural science attractions. Visitors can invite a few friends to take exciting rides on the motorcycle roller coaster and the big pendulum, while experiencing soaring adrenaline. Families with children can ride the carousel, the luxury train, or visit the Panda Science Museum to see the national treasure up close.
Tengwang Pavilion is a Tang Dynasty-style xieshan 'resting hill.' double-hanging-roof building. The Yutaiguan was built at the same time. It has been called the Tengwang Pavilion since the Qing Dynasty. Visitors entering the Tengwang Pavilion will be able to see the entirety of Langzhong's central district. Once the sun sets, this is an exceptional place from which to enjoy the nightscape. On one side, the beauty of the city can be enjoyed, while the majesty of the river can be seen on the other. This is a great place for taking pictures.
