Pahari Soul

This was my second time staying at this place. The first time, it was good. But, later, we have experienced a decrease in their service. The photo in the advertisement on Trip.com was not offered to us. We had to pay ~30% more to get that room. The geyser was also not working. They are misleading the customers here. They show one room, but when you pay via Trip.com, they offer some lower-tier rooms, or you have to pay more to get the rooms you have booked via this site. Be aware of this scam. Otherwise, the location is quite good, it's beside the Dali monastery, barely 2 2-minute walk.

Nice comfortable stay. It's a little outside the town , but that helps actually since too much vehicle polution in the town centre. There's a taxi stand just opposite the homestay so u can take share cab at Rs.15 per passenger. Though climate gets very cold after 3 pm , the owners gave an electric blanket which helped a lot. For airport transfer the driver appointed by Mr Samir the ***ager was very experienced. He dropped us in just 2.5 hours to the airport with some shortcut routes. In peak season of mid April to June expect traffic jams of an hour or two. An experienced driver knowing shortcuts helps in avoiding traffic and reaching in time. The homestay is definitely worth a try.

The place is located before the main market area of Darjeeling and is more of a hotel rather than homestay. Attached bathroom with geyser and electric kettle and room service. The wifi worked very well, I was able to get some office work done. The main market is accessible by shared taxis for Rs 15, which was fine for us because the main town is very crowded and here we could take walks and wake up to the view of the hills and Mt kanchenjunga. The staff went extra mile to help us and prepared customized food for my aged mother. I would always stay here whenever I come back to Darjeeling

I had seen much propaganda about this hotel on youtube. Made advance booking and decided to give it a try. It can not be termed a homestay as the owner stays elsewhere after her marriage. Small rooms, bad food, bad WIFI connection and poor TV network. Situated at Dali, far from the town. If you have a longer car, you have to worry about it constantly, as the parking area barely fits one small hatchback only. Changed my hotel on my second day of stay and moved to a better hotel.

Only 10 minutes travel distance from Darjeeling mall and just beside the 'Dali' taxi stand, Pahari Soul is a homestay where anyone will find the beauty of the hill queen Darjeeling to the fullest. The rooms are spacious, clean and aesthetically pleasing. Clean toilet, 24x7 running hot water, nice service, home cooked food and a grand view of Mount Kanchenjunga. Unfortunately throughout my stay the weather was very cloudy. Still it worth every bit of my expenses.

Overhyped place. Saw nice reviews somewhere, but this place is away from the main town, TV does not work, WIFI virtually non existent, bad food, cheating owners, severe car parking problem. I was so disappointed that I moved elsewhere after staying here for just two days, though I was fortunate to get a refund.

The food is not up to the mark. Behavior of the staffs was not good. I do not recommend people to go there and stay there. Even the owners of the home stay is arrogant. And yes, the toilet is not clean.

My parents stayed at Pahari Soul for a couple of nights, the overall experience was positive. The accommodation isn't extraordinary, however, the staff were kind and helpful. The food was very good. Though transportation to and from the homestay to the main square was challenging. Overall, definitely recommend this place but do plan some extra time in case you end up waiting for a long time for transportation.

Stayed for 3 nights. Good accomodation and lovely food. Owner Ms. Sweeta is a helpful lady and a nice personality. Staffs are always ready to help. Almost every room has mountain view. Taxi stand is nearby . Mall is 10 minutes away. Over all good experiance .
