We are Malaysian & can speak mandarin. Don’t worry if you’re non-chinese speaker, they will try their best to communicate with you. Sonzhuju Coffee & Tea Holiday Villa is convenient for those who bring big luggage. They have a service to help carry your luggage too, from the main road (approx 170m). And please let them know once you arrived at the main road! The hotel is away from loud noise & busy from the main area. Cosy place & strategic for us staying in 3D2N. The room was clean. Breakfast included, but for Muslims, please mention that you’re Muslim, then they will prepare you veggie options. And you can choose to have your meal in your room or their eating area.

Ai Fei, a local host from the hotel, was very helpful in arranging our customised tour trip. We texted the hotel via WeChat 8–9 days prior to our arrival in Lijiang. We asked if there was any local there who could advise us on the trip and straightaway they made a group for discussion. He'd make sure that we were all okay & happy to discuss our plan to visit any area that we would like to go to. He arranged our private car trip to JDSM & Blue Moon Valley and brought the ticket for us too. Upon we'd arrived at the hotel, he served us a welcome tea, fruit and flower cake. From the next morning we are going to JDSM & Blue Moon Valley. He advised us on what the do’s and don't prior to our trip. The private driver that he helped arrange for us was also very helpful & patient to ensure that we felt safe going to the place (group chat). He also helped to arrange a private car for us to Shangri-la. Overall, he made our plan and trip smoothly.

As for the Muslims, you can ask him or the hotel host to recommend where the nearest Muslim restaurant they will definitely find for you.
Overall, definitely recommend staying here. We are happy with our stay here.

Our stay at Shangri-La was truly unforgettable and exceeded all expectations! Before sharing details about our stay, we would like to give special recognition to several team members whose outstanding service made such a positive impact on our experience: 麦克, 小钢, Alan, 小罗, and 小雨. Each of them demonstrated exceptional professionalism, kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care. We are writing this review in large part because we hope management is aware of their incredible efforts, as they truly represent the very best of the hotel’s hospitality. Even before we arrived, the team created a WeChat group and warmly welcomed us, making us feel cared for from the very beginning. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. Upon arrival, the staff helped carry our very heavy luggage to our room and consistently went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying our time at the hotel. After check-in, 麦克 gave us a detailed tour of the room and thoughtfully explained how to use the oxygen supply, which immediately put us at ease. He was also incredibly helpful in recommending places to visit and things to do in the area. His advice, including reminding us not to shower on our first night due to the high altitude, helped us acclimatize comfortably and avoid altitude-related discomfort. We also had the opportunity to make flower candles during our stay, which was a wonderful experience. A special thank you to 小钢, who patiently guided us through the activity and even carefully packed our finished candles so beautifully that all we had to do was pick them up and bring them home the next day. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a wonderful example of the attention to detail that made our stay so special. One of the highlights was the beautiful property and the adorable animals on-site. Alan even took the time to cut fresh carrots for us to feed the goats, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the experience even more enjoyable. The hospitality never stopped, no matter how late it was. We returned to the hotel around 11pm one evening after a long day of exploring, and 麦克 prepared comforting hot dessert soup for us (despite it being past the time for dessert soup). It was exactly what we needed and such a memorable gesture that made us feel truly cared for. Another moment that stood out was late one night when we realized we needed extra towels and pillows. 小罗 responded quickly and kindly helped us get everything we needed despite the late hour. His willingness to assist us so promptly made us feel incredibly well looked after and was yet another example of the outstanding service we experienced throughout our stay. We were also especially grateful to 小雨 for helping us navigate a Taobao return during our stay, which could have been quite complicated without her assistance. Several other staff members also kindly helped with collecting my package. Their teamwork and willingness to assist with something beyond the usual scope of hotel services truly impressed us. As our trip came to an end, Alan kindly drove us to the train station early in the morning and gave us a warm send-off. It was the perfect ending to an already wonderful stay and reflected the genuine care and hospitality we experienced throughout our time at the hotel. The warmth, attentiveness, and sincerity shown by every member of the team made our experience in Shangri-La truly wonderful. Every interaction reflected a level of hospitality that is increasingly rare to find, and their genuine care played a significant role in making this trip so memorable. We are incredibly grateful for the experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shangri-La. We will definitely be back!

The room was super spacious, clean and tidy, with smart facilities. It's not far from the subway station, making it very convenient to take the subway or a taxi to Kunming's attractions. Downstairs, there's a night market and a farmers' market, which is great for staying a while, eating, strolling, and experiencing the local life of Kunming. The hotel staff were also very enthusiastic. It feels like much better value for money than staying near the old town.

YIYUN hotel was the best hotel that I ever had in my china trip so far. Clean and cozy design with beautiful wood art. They gave me free tea and flower cake which was very delicious. In the corridor there was a lot of area to sit and have tea. Because I have been for 3 days they grant me a free transport to lijiang train station which makes my journey easier. The blankets was very clean. This Orel is very near the ancient city which you just need to walk few minutes to reach to so many beautiful places recommend by them. Overall I can say I enjoyed and I recommend it to who needs good quality and price is very reasonable.

The hotel was not perfect, but I still rated 5/5 mainly due to the staff's super helpfulness. I highly recommend communicating with the hotel via Wechat beforehand. Taxis cannot reach the hotel's front gate, so you should ask the hotel to provide you with the address where taxis can drop you off. For us, we asked the hotel to help us book a pickup service from the railway station (40 CNY). While on the train, I chatted with the driver via Wechat and asked him to wait for us at the exit. It was very worth it as we didn't have to struggle with finding taxis outside the train station. Also, since the hotel knew what time we arrived, they also came in time to pick us up from the taxi drop off point and helped us with our luggage. It's about 200 meters' walk from the hotel. The hotel's gate is called Reading is Boutique (see my photo). I would have never found it had I not booked the pick up service. What I like about the hotel's location is that although it's a bit far from the main attractions (400m from the main square and 800m from the water wheel), it's very quiet. If I had booked a hotel in the center of the old town, I'd have suffered from immense noise from the nightclubs there. The hotel owner / staff (I'm not sure who he was) was super kind and helpful. He didn't speak English so we mostly communicated via Wechat where I could use the built-in translation tool. He gave me all information I needed and responded to my questions very quickly. Their breakfast was tasty - a bowl of noodles with 2 eggs per person. I ate the same breakfast for 3 mornings and didn't even get bored. On the second floor, there's a balcony where you could sit and enjoy a beautiful view of the old town. Our room was located on the ground floor. To be honest, it's a bit outdated already. The bed was not very comfy, and there was no door between the sleeping area and the toilet (only a curtain). However, it was fair enough with such a good price. It seems there's only one lady who does all the cleaning and housekeeping. She prepared breakfasts for us and helped us clean the room. However, we found a half-open bag of food from one of the drawers in our bedside cabinet - perhaps from a previous guest. Not sure how long it has been there though. I think rooms need better cleaning. Overall, if I had to choose again, I would still stay at this hotel. I appreciate all the transparency in communication, the location, and the vibe of this hotel. Highly recommend it!

I first heard about this place on Instagram and thought it was so beautiful. Its incredible structure is just as gorgeous when you see it in person. The staff were very accommodating and attentive. It was so cool because they had a machine that translates different languages depending on what you speak. This was the first time I’d ever seen anything like it and found it very helpful as I don’t speak Mandarin. Breakfast isn’t included but you can purchase their set meals for 37 yuan and have it while looking out at the beautiful courtyard. If you need train station transfer, you can easily ask for it for 80 yuan per way which made my check in and check out process smooth. They also allow you to try on their cultural costumes for free. If you need hair, makeup and photography services than it’s 499 yuan. As a solo traveler, I decided to try it out. They were very nice, however I definitely struggled with the very white makeup since I myself am very tanned. In their defense they did their best with trying to give me something darker and in the makeup room it seemed fine. But with the different lighting outside and the camera flash, when I got my pictures back I basically had a ghost face 😞 The foundation also wasn’t applied to my neck and arms, so it was very apparent. I’ve asked the photographer to help standardize my skin so hopefully that helps whenever it’s done. You receive a total of 9 retouches photos as part of the package. However, if you prefer to do your own makeup or are traveling with others then they can take pictures for you instead. The place is very convenient for finding restaurants and if you’re primary goal is the visit the old town. It’s very close by, so I was able to explore easily and then return to the hotel for breaks when needed. Lastly, you can use their laundry machines and get laundry pellets for free. Ideally this is great. But I will say the drying part is dreadful. The instructions say to do the 2/3 rule. However, even when I followed and put a small batch of clothes in it never dried. I tried once for 1.5 hours, then again for another hour, and still nothing. That was probably the only real part that was frustrating.

Kunming. A long name. A great location for a five-diamond hotel 😊 -----Definitely a great choice, given it's a Ctrip 5-diamond hotel. -----Four Points by Sheraton Kunming, City Center 🌈 👍1. Location. It's truly in the absolute center of Kunming. Downstairs is a pedestrian street, and the Golden Horse and Jade Rooster Archway is right next door (within a 5-minute walk). It's a paradise for food and snacks, with several local internet-famous spots (like roasted pancake, braised dishes, and Qiaoxiangyuan Rice Noodles). ❤️2. Service. Their service, from the front desk to housekeeping, is excellent. We booked different room types this time, and they specially upgraded our rooms to ensure we were all on the same floor. Thank you! ☕3. Breakfast. The hotel's breakfast offers a good variety, generally meeting our needs. There's still room for improvement. 👏4. On the third morning, some of our family members had to catch a train, and the hotel specially packed breakfast for us and left it at the front desk. Five-star service! 🙏5. We left some old clothes in the room that we didn't want, and the hotel specifically came to confirm whether we had forgotten them or if we intended to discard them. Very conscientious and responsible! 👏 👌6. The lobby is a bit small. The guest rooms seem to be on floors 23-28, offering fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding area. Truly excellent. 🤝Suggestion: The garment steamer provided releases steam very quickly once turned on, which could easily cause burns. I've already shared this feedback with the hotel. Summary: The price is a bit high during peak season, but it's a worthwhile choice during off-peak season. If I had to give a score, I'd give it a 90.

房間特別大，一進門就心情舒暢了，房間帶的陽台直麪雪山，面前是一個超大的牧場。不管是設施衞生環境還是服務都是一等一的，特別滿意。店裡麪的員工都像是入股了一樣，每個人熱情都特別高。管家驚雲還有一衹好看的小狗狗，特別可愛，還會給推薦附近好玩的好吃的，有什麼需求每個人都特別熱心。 店裡還送了拍照，扎染和製茶餅。 拍照包含粧造，有3張精修照片，基本都是拍的藏族服飾本來沒報期望，沒想到拍出來的效果意外的好，沒忍住還加了精修。 扎染是送的做一個小方巾，店裡麪一點都不會因為是酒店送的敷衍，很細緻教。 製茶餅老闆也很好，給介紹各種茶的知識，品嚐了很多，也都不用消費。茶餅可以回家留個紀念，説是要喝的話最好一年以後再喝，都是做的生普。 總之在這家店過得很開心，很遺憾後面還有別的行程，不能繼續住了。

The breakfast selection was quite good, with rice noodles, a simple salad, fruits, and pastries. It's super close to Heilongtan Park, just around the corner. If you want to see the 'Golden Mountain at Sunrise,' you can get up early, and you can even see the snow-capped peak from the rooftop. The owner is lovely and kind, and the front desk staff are very welcoming; they even helped carry my luggage to the car. Thank you! The only minor downside was that the room facing the alley was a bit noisy at night, probably from people returning late from their outings. Overall, it offers great value for money.

The hotel environment is fantastic, with many hot spring pools and lots of trees, plus a variety of small animals. Our room had floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, and we could even project movies. There's also a small private courtyard outside for a personal hot spring bath, which was amazing. The front desk staff were very attentive and detailed in their service, which was excellent. However, there was a minor flaw: there was no toilet paper holder in the restroom. The toilet paper was placed next to the sink outside the door, meaning you had to stand up to reach it, which was quite awkward.
