I got sick when we stay in this hotel. I'm not sure if it because of the hotel but most of the guest is coughing and sneezing. My whole stay is a nightmare, I can't fully enjoy the places I've been bacause I got sick. I hope I'm the only one who experience this but the rest is ok. The staff are friendly and the room is quite clean. The toilet is not that clean but for its price, I can say that they still did great. The location is perfect since it's near Love Lane, Lbh Chulia, KOMTAR, The Bus Station in Cititel, Penang St, New Lane, the Top and other hawker restaurants.

This hotel is conveniently location in the Prai area; close to the highway - access via car or Grab is easy. It is also 6km away from Penang Central for access to the Ferry. Check in was convenient and easy but staff has to update their knowledge on hotel, facility, bookings and room perks; and also the surroundings because clients might ask for information. Room was superspacious, internet was somewhat stable but had trouble accessing some of my work pages (probably network security). Despite looking modern, its also a bit runned down where some furnitures needing a refresh and touch ups (see picture). Bed and linens were spacious and comfortable and airconditioning was manageable. Bathroom was okay with the cute toiletries provided (really cute). My room type comes with free minibar so they refreshed it daily. TV screen is huge but channel selection was limited. Breakfast buffet was mediocre at best but staff were always ever present. The doorman and security are kindest at the hotel.

Excellent service from FOA during my check in. I am glad that the room are really spacious with clean towels, great king bed & toiletries and the most perfect mirror for me to get my hijab on. You wouldn't have to worry about the scenery.. perfect big windows with amazing views of the city and if you're really lucky, upper levels have the views that might catch the ocean!!! I had a lovely walk from Little India back to Bayview Hotel Georgetowm after diner and manage to stop for a nice ocean breeze at Penang Esplanade right across The Chambers Hotel.

The location of this hotel is great....directly opposite a couple of malls, the public transport hub in Komtar, several nearby restaurants. You are around a 10 minute walk to the historical parts of Georgetown, or just jump on one of the buses in Komtar (The CAT bus leaving from stop 9 is free and does a circuit of most of Old Georgetown). Great view (We were on the 20th floor), comfortable bed, bathtub etc. Generally clean. Super friendly staff. The downsides are that the rooms are in major need of refurbishment. Old and tired looking, decades old furniture, walls all scratched and scuffed. 1980s style decor. Still a good deal to stay here, but perhaps don't expect you are getting a 4 star place....maybe in 2015 it was.

Great location with New Lane hawker street food right downstairs in the evening! This hotel though is not new but still very well-maintained. Everything in the room is at tip top cleanliness and well furnished. Wonderful housekeeper! I was surprised and delighted to receive a nicely decorated “Happy Birthday” on the bed with a present upon opening the door! It makes my trip more memorable ❤️.

In terms of price range, it matches with the service that it provides, the location is nearby the town, you can easily access the place you want. Somehow it can get a lot of local food around.Nice.

First time having cny in Park Royal Excellent service i would say Dinner delicious , was full house , but the kitchen very thoughtful keep refill fresh food. Nvr neglect the people who late. Thanks to the staff to let us buy the buffet with last minute decision. Overall we very satisfy !.will come again !

Suuitable for relaxing. Beautiful view from the balcony.The room is spacious and clean. Its just hard to go out shopping or buy things if you don't have your own vehicle.

The hotel location is good. and the room is big and cosy. They got a water dispenser outside the room so that we can fetch the water from there. the staff is friendly to guests. The breakfast is not fancy but still acceptable .

This hotel is located near the Bayan Lepas International Airport which is very convenient to air travelers. Parking is easy and close to the building. The plus point of this hotel is the room which is large and spacious. The cafe is easily accessable and the prices are reasonable. You must try their mi goreng sotong......The serving is huge and tasty. Front office staff are helpful and friendly and for the present room rate they are charging, it is worth for a second visit. The view and location were spectacular, staff were friendly and helpful , breakfast buffet had many variety to choose from. Cleanliness need improvement-found hairs on window ledge , bed sheet had stain on it. Overall will definitely recommend the hotel to friend and family who visit Penang and will come back in the future.

Affordable booking. Stayed for 4 nights Location is close to the nearest street food area, about 10min walk Everything was ok except that the toilet wasn’t cleaned on the 3rd day. When I asked for assistance, I was attended to within reasonable time. Thanks!

Hotel is a well-located accommodation option in Georgetown, strategically situated near key attractions, including Komtar and 1st Avenue Shopping Mall, making it easy for guests to explore the vibrant local culture and cuisine. Numerous food stalls and restaurants are within walking distance, providing plenty of dining options for guests who wish to experience. Rooms are modern with air conditioned, free stable Wi Fi internet connection and private parking, room cleanliness needing improvement.

What I like about this hotel are the following - location, automated parking, provision of shuttle service to breakfast spots since the hotel does not offer breakfast. Their staff are also very helpful as they offer advice (such as whether to utilise morning shuttle service to breakfast spots, how to use automated parking within the hotel) and suggestions to guests. Upon arrival at the check-in counter, their staff offered cool drink to guests and this is what I observed sets itself apart from other hotels. The room is comfortable too and having 2 aircon units at separate spaces and ability to turn off is a plus. The view from the pool is nice too. Overall, it is an enjoyable stay and there is nothing that I do not like.

The location of the hotel is great! Getting grab around was easy available too, of course not to forget about grab food! Hotel room is clean with all the things we need! Will be back to this hotel again!

The hotel is good despite quite an old hotel itself. My stay was comfortable. Room is clean, but aircond is quite cold for me because the temperature cannot be adjust

Great location! local market, sunway carnival mall, Billion shopping centre, medical centre, government clinic, f&b, temple of worships all just within walking distance. ample of parking but without cover. You will be getting wet when walk to take your car during rainy day. Free parking and must be validate your card every time before go out. The room is clean. Book & requested for an extra bed(within RM100 per night), pay at hotel when check-in.

Check in on saturday,quite late check in and hotel seems not so busy. Room was okay and toilet was clean but there's leftover drinks with plastic inside the mini bar. Supervisor didnt check the room properly. Hope management will take actions and housekeeping supervisor double check the room before let the guest checking in.

Very good location, there are lots of food variety opposite the hotel, and also for the hotel breakfast. First time staying & definitely will rebook if happen to go there

My 2nd time stay here. Best hotel with a nice and delicious breakfast. Fast check in and check out. The water pressure is also very good. Nothing to complain about.

My recent visit to E red hotel penang was an plasent experience, fast chek in clean room and friendly staff would definetly visit in the near future🫰🏻

Supposed to be NON Smoking but the room allocated was full of cigarette smell . Rules are not implemented as we found there are guests smokhang inside the room and at first floor lobby as well. There isn't double layer curtain blinds except the thick curtain so you can't open the thick curtain as others can see through the window . There isn't any any shower door except a very fragile/ thin layer of cheap plastic screen that could not prevent the water from spilling towards the bathroom door and flooding the whole floor that has made it very slippery. Towet rack is installed too high , you may find it difficult to reach. TV reception is so poor you couldn't tell which channel or program is playing. Overall ,room is clean but others are disappointing and room rate is expensive. Will not recommend anyone to stay .

Stayed at Grand Orient for one night for a business trip, and even though the hotel catered more for families with children (they have an in-house water park, though I did not try it out), I was generally satisfied with my stay. Room: Being relatively new certainly helped them in this regard, as the room's fittings were good and intact and the room itself felt fresh despite not having any windows. Bed and linen were comfortable, and the room was equipped with basic amenities. They provided an ironing board and iron which was a handy addition. Toilet was clean and modern. My only complaint - the toilet had a small tube (most probably for draining air-conditioning condensate water) sticking out of the ceiling directly on top the sink, which dripped water once in a while. Definitely something that needs to be improved on. Also, the room was quite small and felt slightly cramped. Location: Not very conducive, as there are hardly any shops within walking distance. The nearest convenience store would be a petrol station, about a 5-minute walk away. You would have to drive out for food and goods. Staff: Professional and welcoming. No complaints. Conclusion: Even though the Grand Orient had an in-house water park and was more family-oriented, the hotel premises was generally clean. It is probably not well suited for certain target groups, so do bear in mind what your priorities are before considering this place. All in all an ok place, though I may have scored it higher if it weren't for the odd water leak issue in the toilet.
