Seaside Hostels

Location was great: easy access to the beach, quick walk on the promenade and we were on Broadway/Circle drive. Parking was good. Pool and hot tub were great, great if traveling with kids. Continental breakfast was above average compared to most other complementary breakfasts. Nightly cookie ”reception” was a great bonus as well. Room was more than adequate. King Bed was comfortable, and the linens were clean. Kitchenette was very convenient. TV, sinks, bath/shower were all working fine. The building was showing a little wear, but nothing too bad to complain about, The one ”complaint” I would have is that the room did not have AC or even a vent, and the fan they had in the room was working but did not rotate. Since we were on the first floor we could only open the windows when were in the room, so when we would come back from an outing the room was a little stuffy and hot. Besides that, everything else was great. Will definitely stay again if available.

We stayed at the Ebbtide for 7 nights in September '22 with our adult son and dog. The hotel was kept very clean but does need some updating. It is very close to everything and we found we were able to just walk everywhere. I would have loved for there to be an air conditioner and firmer pillows.

We just love the Best Western Seaside Plus!! We would not even consider staying anywhere else. It has become our go to place as many times as we can a year. Very well maintained hotel and rooms are always clean, with comfortable beds.Always helpful, friendly staff for anything we may need. I love that it is just steps from the beach if we choose to walk it, or ocean view rooms have a great balcony to sit on and just watch and listen to the ocean. The in house, Ocean Beach Cafe has good food, but hotel is very conveniently located close to restaurants and Safeway for anything we may want. Love that they are also very pet friendly. Since we discovered this hotel several years ago, we have talked our CA friends into meeting us for a ”Same Time Next Year” get together every year, and they love the hotel as much as we do. Just no other place for us. Casual, comfortable and clean!!

Room was small but comfortable and clean. The stairs were quite troublesome during the rain but was very thankful that they did have two elevators, no ice machine on the 3rd floor( which is where we were) fridge was nice size and very very clean! coffee in room was a plus we had a room with no view but it did have a bathtub and check in was easy and check out was even easier!

My outlook on my review may just be because I've done housekeeping most my life but the bathroom wasn't very clean and the toilet wasn't flushed. Theb lobby was confusing to find and staff wasn't exactly inviting. But location is great and run was affordable and cute. There was no conditioner though and that is an issue for my daughter and me. I'd stay again though

100% will stay again. It's not oceanfront but the river view and calm evening were perfect. From the moment I got there the front desk person, Mike was welcoming and genuine. Our family had to make an unexpected stop on our way home and of course, almost everything was booked or way too expensive. Mike was understanding and helped us to get the best deal possible with our limited budget. Not just dog friendly but very accommodating to our pooch. The hot breakfast is complete with a futuristic automatic pancake maker. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable we didn't want to leave. The room was completely set up for a work room and we could have easily done remote work in this setting. 24 hour pool & Hot tub and minors aren't there after 10:00 pm. If you'll need a late check out make sure to ask early as the spots fill up quickly. Even with that, the staff helped us to squeeze another 30 minutes out of our stay. We could hear some foot traffic above, but to be expected in a family and dog-friendly hotel.

The hotel is right next to the Route 101 and easy to find. The lobby was extremely clean and shinny. The breakfast was also a plus. Highly recommended!
