The room was pretty quiet. I stayed on the basement level, so there was no window, but since I was only there for one night to sleep, it didn't bother me. The bedding and bathroom were very clean, and there was a door curtain. The bed was quite soft. Having the toilet and shower right in the room was very convenient. There was also a full-length mirror and a vanity table in the room. The front desk offered free, very fresh lemonade! The room was clean with a variety of lighting options, comfortable bed and I enjoyed a very quiet sleep.
Room temperature was perfect with an option to mend as you wish, I did not change it as it was done correctly. Also the hot shower and all facilities in the shower room ( like shower gel, shampoo & conditioner, clean/soft towels) made my stay pleasant and I felt I made the right choice.
Breakfast/ buffet was included and you have a kettle available and few options for making one or two extra drinks in the room ( if you wish)
Other facilities provided which I didn't use, where hairdryer, iron/ ironing board and a safe.
Room was with a desk area and an office chair, TV with plenty of channels available at no extra cost, another seating area with a soft armchair and a stool in front, if you want to read/ relax and not in a mood to lie down in bed.
The room decor was calm and I liked the big mirror, so you can see properly yourself before you leave.
The Hotel is 15-20mins walking distance from Birmingham city centre & train station( New Street) Nearby there are plenty of shops or other restaurants if you want anything else.
Staff at the reception were friendly and helpful for any further questions I had, they kept safe my gloves which I forgot 😂🙏 and check in/out done fast and without delays.

The hotel is located outside Birmingham city centre but there is a handy bus stop just in front 9f the hotel connecting with Birmingham New Street.
The hotel is not modern but clean and value for money. The bed is comfortable and the usual Kettle, Coffee and Tea are available.
Breakfast was good and more than sufficient. Unless you need to be in the centre this hotel is certainly worth a stay.SOLD OUT

I have stayed at this hotel many times and always enjoy my stay. Great facilities nice pool and spa which hardly any Birmingham hotels have. the bar is also really nice. Breakfast at the Hyatt is always a treat 😄

Unfortunately, this was a disappointing stay. The reception, bar and restaurant are the best part of this hotel. The lifts were slow, corridors outside the room smelt awful and room was poor. There was extensive water damage to the bottom of the bathroom door, dated furniture and one of the two beds was sat on the floor in the middle despite there being wheels underneath each side. There was pink/red staining on the curtains and we couldn’t see out of the window due to the condensation. The decoration, plug sockets were good and there was a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, mini fridge (empty) and a safe. The shower room was well presented, there were plenty of pillows and towels. The room temperature was comfortable. More bar staff were needed at busy times and all staff encountered were pleasant and friendly. Located within the city centre. A few minutes to the Christmas Market so we managed to get back there twice. Also, it’s very near to Bullring, New Street Station, Metro and Grand Central. There are also loads of restaurants around.
Clean room, no odd smell anywhere, spacious and well- lit. Air-con and TV worked well. Has a fridge and microwave. The kitchen is well-equipped including kitchen towel and dish soap. I was very impressed with the room. I had a twin room, it was very clean and felt like the decor was relatively new. The beds were comfortable and the TV was easy to use. There was a small kettle and teas and milk (although no hot chocolate). Small waters. No fridge. I didn’t get much time to explore the surrounding area as I was there for a conference. We arrived very early and were greeted by a lovely receptionist, she was able to give us immediate access to our room. A lovely modern room, with two double beds and all amenities. Although, we went out for dinner, we did have breakfast. The food was good with lots of options and we had lovely service from a Hungarian waitress, sadly I didn’t get her name. We had a late checkout, just in time to get our train home. The hotel is convenient for all downtown shopping and other amenities, a very short walk from The Mailbox, lots of restaurants and shops, also the Bullring and Grand Central station. The hotel's location isn't great. You have to go through a park, and it's quite out of the way, so it's best to take an Uber. However, the environment is decent, and it's a chain hotel, so it's pretty well-managed. The bed is quite comfortable, and the cleanliness is good.
The overall space is a bit small. Luggage storage is very insecure; it's just a pile in a storage room with no labels and no one watching over it. The air conditioning in the room blows directly onto your head, which is a bit uncomfortable, and there's no outlet next to the bed for charging. Overall, besides being clean and tidy, everything else is just so-so. I booked it to save some money, but now I think I should have just booked a place near New Street Station.

The receptionist was very professional and helpful regarding a mistake in my booking as my booking app didn't convey the complete details of my booking. They didn't have any idea that I have a 12 year old child added to my booking and also didn't get the information that I needed 2 adjacent rooms, but they managed to sort it out. Breakfast was great. There was no fridge in the room despite saying there was one during booking, but I didn't need it, so I ignored it. The worst part was the pool staff. They were rude and irogant.

My room was on the 4th floor, easily accessible by lift. The room was large, queen size double bed, 2 seater settee and coffee table. What a gem! Literally direct opposite one of the rear entrances of the grand New Street Station, up the stairs/lift into a little arcade of shops (nail bar/hair salon and luxury watches) and the hotel entrance.
The check in lobby is nothing much impressive but the overall building and decor with high ceilings, big staircases and marble surfaces are albeit a bit outdated in tone, still much preferable to us.
The room is very spacious and the bathroom with Elemis supplied soap walk-shower and self-standing bathtub is the biggest we’ve ever been into.
The hotel bar, restaurant and breakfast area are located on the first floor looking over the New Street pedestrian shopping street and the staff are very good.

Fabulous place to stay for a concert at the Utilita Arena. Lovely restaurant and bar onsite. Large spacious room with some great extras included in the price ie complimentary prosecco, orange juice and coffee bags. Great bars and restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. This place can accommodate four people traveling together. It's in a very safe location next to Birmingham City University, and there are two supermarkets downstairs with normal prices. You can take different routes from either side of the hotel to the city center every day. It's very quiet, you can only hear the seagulls. There's also a great Indian restaurant in the area opposite. It's very close to the hotel, you can reach the Canal House (canal-side area) within 2 minutes, and just a short walk from there is old Birmingham.FromTRY 2,888

The rooms are spacious and bright. The front desk staff were very friendly. Breakfast offered a great selection, and the beer at the restaurant was delicious. We also found the meal portions to be very generous. The hotel is conveniently located, just a 20-minute walk to the lively downtown area, and public transport access is easy. It's not the best hotel on the street. It's very expensive, and breakfast £18 each and we did return throughout our stay. The food was very poor. Weatherspoon was a lot cheaper and nicer. Communal lights on my corridor did not function as it should. I booked a deluxe room, which is basic. No shaver plug in inside the bathroom. TV isn't smart. The bathroom was very clean. These days, they struggle to charge the costs to my room. Communal shared areas are great but rooms very basic.FromTRY 3,712

Really lovely stay at the Malmaison for a few days. The location is excellent for a Birmingham trip, great cafes, restaurants and local sites all in walking distance. Birmingham New Street station is a very short walk. We used the car park for one day when we hired a car, if you prebook it with the hotel discount it’s £20 for 24 hours. I can highly recommend Digbeth for some quirky places to eat, the jewellery quarter is lovely for a walk around too.FromTRY 3,422

I recently stayed at Hotel du Vin Birmingham for one night, mainly because the location was very convenient for an event nearby. Unfortunately, the stay didn’t start well. When my partner arrived first, he noticed the room didn’t seem properly cleaned. We raised this with staff and were moved to another room on the third floor. Although this room felt cleaner, it still wasn’t spotless — the carpet on the stairs down to the bathroom clearly needed vacuuming, and there were two oil radiators switched on that made noise during the night.
On a positive note, the bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, and we appreciated the welcome drink vouchers for the bar downstairs. Overall, the stay was okay, but the beginning was disappointing. If we hadn’t had enough time before our New Year’s Eve party, moving rooms would have made us late, which added unnecessary stress.FromTRY 4,072

The lOCATION was very convenient; as their was easy access to Birmingham Wharfside and Mailbox, leaving me with many restaurant options. For those that love to travel into the city to shop this is the perfect location due the Bullring was around a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
Upon arrival there was know one at reception to check us in; we waited approximately 5 minutes before a staff member arrived. However the staff member that attended to us we very polite at and helpful. Good SERVICE
The hotel rooms itself had an innovative modern style.
The bed was very comfortable and linen was beautifully textured, they were also very considerate with towel as they insured that spare towels where provided. I must say the the the rooms were very CLEAN I was also very pleased with the robes that were provided. Contrary to all theses great factors the corridors within the complex are in some much need of a refurb.
Apart from the hotel rooms there was no other AMENITIES because unfortunately the guest !NO LONGER HAVE ACCESS TO THE SPA! due to its closure earlier this year. This was very misleading due to the fact that the hotels unique selling point and main advertisement focus was the spa.FromTRY 3,397

Fabulous apartment, really spacious, clean and tidy with all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay.
Reception staff were very polite friendly and helpful, would be nice if the reception hours were longer though.
Location was perfect for easy access to all the attractions of Birmingham City center, although the area itself doesn't look the nicest it was safe and secure and closer to my both the train and bus station.
