This is not my first stay, so I'm familiar with the place. The service was great! The front desk was very friendly and I had a really good stay even during the storm. They have a generator and I believe everything was well during my stay.
However, the breakfast buffet, I don't know what happened, but it seems that the quality of food is so bad now. Over the course of 3 nights, the adobo and chicken korma was hard and dry and the other food options felt lackluster. I only ate the hotdogs, bacon (limited only), and rice. Their usual taho was still good but runs out before 9am. The egg station attendee was a bit rude. I asked for fried eggs directly while he was cooking because there were none left on the serving platter, but he scoffed and told me to get at the platter. I told him theres none, then he and gave me a side eye before refilling it.
This time, the room I got also had very low signal and wifi, wherein I had to stand by the door to get signal, which was unlike my past stays. But it was alright as I got a big room as I requested.
Overall, I would still stay here for comfort and value, but the breakfast buffet is not something to look forward to.FromHK$271

Beautiful Hotel, But Breakfast Needs Attention
We recently stayed at Golden Phoenix Hotel Boracay for 2 nights and had a wonderful overall experience. The property is beautiful, our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is also perfect for accessing the beach.
However, we feel the breakfast offering is an area that needs significant improvement and doesn't match the high standard of the rest of the hotel.
· Limited Variety: The selection was quite limited and remained almost exactly the same every day. After a few days, it became very repetitive.
· Food Temperature: The hot food items (e.g., sausages, bacon, steamed rice) were often lukewarm or cold, which was disappointing.
· Freshness: On a couple of mornings, the pastries and bread felt a bit stale, as if they were from the previous day.
· Local Flavors Missing: We were hoping for more authentic Filipino breakfast options (like garlic rice, different local sausages, or fresh tropical fruits beyond just watermelon and pineapple) to better experience the local cuisine.
This is a lovely hotel with so much going for it. We hope this feedback is taken constructively, as a few improvements to the breakfast would make this a truly 5-star experience. We would still consider staying again, mainly for the excellent service and fantastic facilities.FromHK$281

The resort is very good of course. But here’s my complaint … In our first night at the resort I got very sick and my wife and I (celebrating our 39th anniversary) had to be rushed back to Manila the next day for an emergency operation. The Hotel was very aware of my situation. When we left, we asked if we could have some credit for our remaining two nights. They told us it was up to the booking agency, so we would have to talk to TRIP. So we did. That turned out to be untrue. Trip said that had to ask Hennon Resorts! So they did. But the resort said no refund or credit possible. The agents of TRIP were very accommodating and tried TWICE to help with a credit or refund. At the end of the day it was Hennan who didn’t care about our circumstances. While we do understand policies, we also are business people, and we understand caring about your customers too. It seems to us that the Henan resort management cares about just one thing… getting your money. They got paid for the room which we did not use for two nights; it would’ve been perfectly appropriate the credit us two nights, and invite us back.
Kudos to TRIP for giving us some credit points (over $100 worth) in our account to reserve a room of our choosing in the future as a consolation.SOLD OUT

We stayed at Astoria Current for 5 nights with our toddler and had such a great experience! Everything went smoothly—from the reliable Wi-Fi that allowed us to work remotely, to the child-friendly swimming pool which our 2-year-old absolutely loved.
A special mention and thank you for the room upgrade—we truly appreciated the extra space and comfort, which made our stay even more enjoyable as a family.
We also found the free drying service for wet clothes super convenient after our daily swims. The buffet breakfast had a good variety, and room cleaning was always prompt and well done. Every part of our stay felt thoughtfully handled.
If I could suggest one thing, it would be to upgrade the in-room coffee options. As a coffee lover, I would have appreciated choices beyond the basic sachets—perhaps 3-in-1 blends like UCC, Nescafé Gold, or even drip coffee bags or coffee capsules for a better in-room experience.

The room are bigger than we expected. The buffet even just 2-3 options it’s delicious. Lots of option in bread and super yummy.everyone in hotel are friendly but need some training how to address the guess especially it’s obviously im a trans with big boobs and very feminine. Amazing service at this hotel, the staff go above and beyond at every step to help you, and they were extremely polite and friendly the whole stay. The rooms were light and spacious, but I would recommend garden view over the pool view because of a loud fire show that happens poolside every evening at around 8pm. The hotel undersold it's proximity to the beach, it is less than 5 minutes from hotel to the water, and they have a great towel system where you can borrow from the hotel and take it with you. They also have sunbeds on the beach reserved just for hotel guests. The hotel itself has 4 pools, 2 of which are connected to rooms. One pool has the bar attached, and the final pool at the end closest to the beach is quiet (and with less children!) Plenty of sunbeds available with comfortable mats, tables, and umbrellas. The only part of the stay that was underwhelming was the food - the area that the hotel has made for the restaurant is open-air, and so the pastries were crawling with flies every morning. I have been to some 5 star hotel and here are some of cons that I found from this hotel which starts from when I asked at the front desk to have no MUR for the whole stay and just leave the toiletries at the front desk and I will just drop by to get it from there. While on a DND sign, the housekeeping knocked on my door bringing the amenities and toiletries which rushed me from washing my face to get the toiletries. The second one is the harsh drop of phone call from front desk. My ears hurts bad from the drop of telephone of front desk while I was to the end of my sentence. Please let the guest drop the call first.
Although, smooth check-in and very well appreciated preparation for birthday celebrant. Got my room upgraded as I want a bathtub. Everything was great upon check-in. A small cozy hotel right on the beach. Very friendly staff. Most of the tenants are elderly foreigners, which is good if you you want a peaceful and not noisy atmosphere.
Breakfasts are good. There are good restaurants nearby further down the sea shore (around 1 km).
However, there are some drawbacks that will spoil your stay:
1) Airconditioners are old and very noisy, which makes it unbearable while sleeping.
2) There are some locals living right next to the hotel and they have roosters that start cock-a-doodle-dooing at around 5.30 AM. People come to the hotel to have a good rest and get plenty of sleep, not to wake up at 5.30 every day. Something should be done about this.
3) Sound insulation in the room was very bad. I could hear every step, every cough outside as well as someone from the adjacent room taking a shower.FromHK$354

Location wise, it’s near the beach. Just go to the opposite of the road and you can enjoy the white sand.
It is near also to other locations like renting e-bikes or near to a hop in hop out stop.

The hotel staff are very friendly and smiling, they will help you with everything and guide you in everything, they are always willing to accommodate you.
Clean and spacious rooms. The grounds are huge. There is a 7-Eleven across the street from the hotel.
The beach is practically private. This information would have been important to me when choosing a hotel in the Philippines. There are almost no waves on this beach, unlike the main white beach. There are almost no people, you swim almost alone, no one will bother you. The entrance to the water is perfect. The sand is gorgeous. There are no sea urchins. It's the perfect place for snorkeling! Say hi to Nemo, the clownfish. It's the perfect place for photos.
The hotel has an excellent breakfast and restaurant, with reasonable prices. We almost always ate there. Everything is very tasty. They also held Chill and Grill events, where they serve excellent burgers!
You can get to the center by free shuttle or order a tuk-tuk for 300 pesos. It's a very long walk, so we always used these transportation services.
Thanks to the hotel, we have the most pleasant and positive impressions. We went there for our wedding anniversary, and they gave us a very pleasant and nice surprise.
If you are choosing a hotel, I guarantee you won't go wrong with this one.

The second time I stayed at Exploration. It is a worry-free choice to stay at Exploration in Boracay. It is located in S1, which is relatively quiet, the beach quality is also good, and there is free airport pick-up and drop-off. Usually they write about some disadvantages, but I would like to leave a positive review without any shortcomings.
1. Staff. Having visited many countries, I can definitely say that no one treated me with such warmth as in this country. They were ready to do everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
2. Cleanliness. Every day they came and cleaned the room.
3. Location. You need to walk through the construction site for literally 2 minutes and you will find yourself on the embankment, essentially this is the first line, so you don’t need to walk far.
4. Buffet. You can always find something for yourself, even though it is small. We also ordered food from the hotel menu for lunch/dinner. It was very tasty, the portions are large, you won’t regret it!

We booked two rooms for a three-night stay, and my friend kept praising how excellent the service was. It truly felt like a VIP experience, with staff greeting you warmly every time you entered or left the hotel.

|1.54km from city centerThis is not my first stay, so I'm familiar with the place. The service was great! The front desk was very friendly and I had a really good stay even during the storm. They have a generator and I believe everything was well during my stay.
However, the breakfast buffet, I don't know what happened, but it seems that the quality of food is so bad now. Over the course of 3 nights, the adobo and chicken korma was hard and dry and the other food options felt lackluster. I only ate the hotdogs, bacon (limited only), and rice. Their usual taho was still good but runs out before 9am. The egg station attendee was a bit rude. I asked for fried eggs directly while he was cooking because there were none left on the serving platter, but he scoffed and told me to get at the platter. I told him theres none, then he and gave me a side eye before refilling it.
This time, the room I got also had very low signal and wifi, wherein I had to stand by the door to get signal, which was unlike my past stays. But it was alright as I got a big room as I requested.
Overall, I would still stay here for comfort and value, but the breakfast buffet is not something to look forward to.

But here’s my complaint … In our first night at the resort I got very sick and my wife and I (celebrating our 39th anniversary) had to be rushed back to Manila the next day for an emergency operation. The Hotel was very aware of my situation. When we left, we asked if we could have some credit for our remaining two nights. They told us it was up to the booking agency, so we would have to talk to TRIP. So we did. That turned out to be untrue. Trip said that had to ask Hennon Resorts! So they did. But the resort said no refund or credit possible. The agents of TRIP were very accommodating and tried TWICE to help with a credit or refund. At the end of the day it was Hennan who didn’t care about our circumstances. While we do understand policies, we also are business people, and we understand caring about your customers too. It seems to us that the Henan resort management cares about just one thing… getting your money. They got paid for the room which we did not use for two nights; it would’ve been perfectly appropriate the credit us two nights, and invite us back.
Kudos to TRIP for giving us some credit points (over $100 worth) in our account to reserve a room of our choosing in the future as a consolation.

While on a DND sign, the housekeeping knocked on my door bringing the amenities and toiletries which rushed me from washing my face to get the toiletries. The second one is the harsh drop of phone call from front desk. My ears hurts bad from the drop of telephone of front desk while I was to the end of my sentence. Please let the guest drop the call first.
Although, smooth check-in and very well appreciated preparation for birthday celebrant. Got my room upgraded as I want a bathtub. Everything was great upon check-in. If you want good options for breakfast you need to eat early and also I don’t have that much of option since I have food allergies.
