I recently stayed at Hampton by Hilton Tianmen Mountain and here’s my honest experience: Location: The hotel is in a convenient area, close to food options and a short ride away from Tianmen Mountain attractions (the cable car and bus station to Tianmen Mountain is just opposite the hotel). Very easy for travellers who want a comfortable base. Room: The room was clean, modern, and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and basic amenities were provided. Soundproofing was decent, so I could rest without disturbance. Service: Staff were polite and helpful. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and they were quick to assist with questions about transportation and the surrounding area. Breakfast: A good variety of Chinese and Western options. Not exceptional, but satisfying enough to start the day before heading out for sightseeing. Overall: A reliable and comfortable stay, especially for anyone visiting Tianmen Mountain. It’s not a luxury hotel, but for its price and brand, it delivers good value. I would recommend it to travellers who want convenience, cleanliness, and a hassle-free experience.

Loved this hotel and would highly recommend! The room was clean, well stocked with amenities (towels, bathroom accessories, bathrobes etc). Bed was comfy and room was spacious. The shower had a waterfall shower head and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was very good with many options for both chinese and western style food. The service here was amazing! Mei at the front desk helped us to plan out itinerary for Zhanjiajie forest park, with our day planned and mapped out, even including the estimated time we would spend in each area of the park and our bus routes within to maximize our experience. She booked our tickets and park reservations. This was extremely helpful as we do not speak Mandarin and found the park very confusing on our own. They also provide free transport to and from East gate and drop off pick up to the pedestrian street restaurants and local sightseeing.. The hotel is also located right next to Baofen Lake scenic park. Our experience in Zhangjiajie was amazing thanks to the fabulous service this hotel offers.

I chose this hotel because i read from past reviews that shuttle bus service is provided to the high-speed railway station, which was a major deciding factor for my booking. However, during my stay, the service was not offered to us at all. When we inquired at the front desk, we were simply told to take a taxi instead. Aside from this issue, the hotel room and cleanliness are impeccable. The room was spacious and we have a comfortable stay. Right outside are a row of eateries so there’s no lack of food choice.

This place was absolutely perfect! I spontaneously decided to travel and was overwhelmed by the options, so I asked Doubao (my AI assistant), and it recommended this hotel, claiming it had 'zero negative reviews.' Now I understand what zero negative reviews truly means! The room was incredibly spacious and fully equipped. It was exceptionally clean, with not a speck of dust or any strange odors. The bedding was pristine; I fell asleep the moment my head hit the pillow. The front desk staff were very thoughtful; seeing that we had a child, they provided kids' slippers and even an extra meal voucher! My little one loved it. It's a 5-minute taxi ride to the cable car, and the surrounding area is very quiet. Breakfast was also perfect! The best part? All this for just over 200 yuan! A room like this in Dali would easily cost over a thousand. Wishing the owner great success in their business!

Stayed 1 night while visiting Tianmen mountain. Lovely, old Tujian style hotel. Very relaxed vibe. Clean room, friendly staff. The hotel is on the 10th floor so we were slightly lost at first trying to locate it. But the people at the front of the building quickly spotted our confused looks and pointed us in the right direction. (Just take the lift to the 10th floor) The only slightly negative thing I could say is that the signage at the building entrance could be better.

I rarely comment on rooms, but I must comment on this one. It's a heartfelt compliment! Not only because of the good environment, but also because of the enthusiastic boss. The couple helped with the guide and the pick-up. It was really considerate. The hotel is a service industry. If you provide the best service, I think it will be difficult for the boss not to get rich. Next time I have the opportunity to travel to Zhangjiajie, I will stay at the boss's place again. Staying in a Family Suite with Giant Projector and Bathtub on September 29, 2025. 1⃣️ We flew into Zhangjiajie that evening, planning to visit Tianmen Mountain the next morning, then head to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in the afternoon. We'd enter through the East Gate, take the Bailong Elevator, and explore Yuanjiajie. We wanted to beat the holiday rush and tackle the most crowded attractions before the official vacation period. 2⃣️ Based on this itinerary, the guesthouse provided a comprehensive transportation solution, which I personally consider to be the highlight of this stay (and possibly my best historical lodging experience). Specifically, it included: the proprietress picking us up from the airport around 9 PM on the day of check-in; the next morning, she drove our family to the lower station of the Tianmen Mountain cable car (the guesthouse is very close to the scenic area, a 10-minute drive). The most innovative part was the transfer from Tianmen Mountain to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park East Gate in the afternoon. Since our tickets were for Route A, we'd exit at the mountain gate. After checking out early, our luggage was left at the guesthouse. The solution provided by the guesthouse was optimal: they arranged for a neighbor's car, and a WeChat group was set up with all three parties. When we reached Tianmen Cave Square, we'd notify them, and the driver would first go to the guesthouse to pick up our luggage, then meet us at the mountain gate parking lot, and finally take us to a guesthouse near the East Gate of the park. This 40-kilometer trip cost 80 yuan, which I found very reasonable. This entire arrangement eliminated all concerns about visiting Tianmen Mountain, including difficulties hailing taxis, drivers engaging in false promotions, or impromptu price hikes, as I had read in travel guides. We didn't encounter any of these issues – or rather, we had no opportunity to. For this reason alone, the stay was well worth it. Of course, the proprietress also mentioned that during peak holiday periods, there's significant traffic congestion near the guesthouse, and some of the pick-up/drop-off arrangements might change. If interested, it's advisable to discuss this in advance. 3⃣️ In other aspects, the guesthouse's overall environment is good. The building exterior and front desk lobby are decorated in a fresh and elegant style, with plants, greenery, and Chinese-style furniture arranged just right. The room we stayed in was a suite with a large bed in each of the two bedrooms, offering some privacy. The bedroom space was a little cramped, but the bathroom was large, and facilities I care about, like the shower and bedding, were all excellent. The guesthouse provided rice noodles for breakfast, which were simple, delicious, and had a local flavor. 4⃣️ The service was excellent. In addition to the aforementioned comprehensive transportation support, we communicated flight information via WeChat in advance to confirm pick-up times, and they sent guesthouse information and detailed transportation maps for several major attractions in Zhangjiajie. Upon check-in, they took out a map and used a marker to explain the Tianmen Mountain route to us. For those who dislike planning, you can ask for detailed advice here; you'll get the most comprehensive answers. They also sent a lengthy check-in guide covering everything from clothing and food to accommodation, transportation, and activities. Upon departure, we received a beautifully packaged tea as a souvenir. 5⃣️ Furthermore, arriving a day early truly helped us avoid crowds and traffic. There were no queues at all when visiting Tianmen Mountain Route A. In the morning, it was foggy and my spirits were low, but as the cable car ascended through the clouds, it suddenly cleared, revealing a spectacular sea of clouds. How lucky is that? In summary, this was an extremely thoughtful and meticulous stay. Highly recommended.

The B&B is really great, the room is comfortable and spacious, very clean, the mattress is soft and I slept till dawn. I have been traveling for four or five days and this is the best hotel I have ever come across. What moved me the most was that after returning from Tianmen Mountain, I had a meal in his restaurant. The cooking skills were first-class, and I think it is one of the best Hunan dishes. My parents also praised it highly. The scenery did not keep me, but this restaurant kept my heart. Highly recommended!

They offer complimentary airport transfers and free shuttle services to scenic spots. You can even see Tianmen Mountain from your room at this guesthouse. It's incredibly quiet, and having two sunny balconies is a huge plus. Lying on the balcony at night and taking photos feels so luxurious. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The owner is super nice; they even helped us call taxis when we went out, and at reasonable prices too. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit.

🌏 The hotel truly exceeded my expectations. From the very beginning, they offered us a free transfer. The driver was a bit late, but the staff handled it with such care — they even gave us a complimentary return transfer to the train station as an apology. That’s what I call genuine hospitality! The reception girls were absolute sweethearts. Kind, patient, they explained everything with the help of a translator, served us hot tea, and even brought fruit as a welcome gift. Honestly, I’ve stayed in five-star hotels before, but I have never experienced this level of heartfelt care and warmth there. Here, you feel not like a client, but a truly welcome guest. The room was pure harmony — spotlessly clean, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared. Slippers, a hygiene kit, a hairbrush, and even women’s sanitary products were provided — such a rare and considerate touch. The panoramic windows were huge (yes, the view was of a construction site), but the atmosphere inside was so pleasant it didn’t matter at all. And the tea ceremony table was the cherry on top, making the whole stay feel cultural and special. This hotel proves that true comfort doesn’t come from stars, but from genuine care, warm smiles, and attention to details. P.S. The check in the hotel was smooth and a pleasure. Receiption girl 'Wu Yung Ye' is nice and willing to help with anything we need. She upgrade our room without paying more. The hotel is just 10minute walk from the TIANAMEN cable car side 'A'. Electric touch to operate all.things in the room. Nice surroundings, no noise at all. Good for a light sleeper like me. We are falling in love with ZHANGJIAJE city. Impressed by the people and the system. Incredible memories. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits ZHANGJIAJE city.

Very good and new hotel with very nice staff and clean and good smell environment. I will come again. Strong points: 1. Room i have booked was according to the pictures, very spacious and comfortable, good corridor with open closet and nice toilet and shower, very big bed. 2. Room is on 14th floor with good view on the city and mountain with cableway. 3. Smart room is equipped with voice control or touch panel to open the curtains, lights, AC, wifi. 4. Bathroom is at the entrance with nice sink and good light mirror, there is also make up mirror and the hotel provides toothbrush with toothpaste, comb, shaving kit, vanity set. All you need. The set of towels is 3- face, medium and big for the body. There is a robe, slippers and toilet sit cover. 5. In the shower all is new, the shower head works very well and water is warm. The strong point is that hotel is ”sustainable” and uses less plastic - there is big shampoo, shower gel and conditioner dispensers, not the small to throw away!!!very good! Smart toilet was also clean and nice. The hairdryer is new and good (like dyson). 6. The bed is comfortable, not too hard and not too soft. I had a very good sleep, the blanket is warm and nice, bed linen is clean and fresh, all new. 7. I had a deep sleep due to the comfort in the room, you can use a fan and air ventilation, or you can switch off. The temperature was regulated perfectly. Not hot and not cold. 8. There is a teapot to boil water and on the table there is a traditional tea set. 9. If you have a delivery, the robot comes to your door and gives it to you, very convenient. 10. The hotel reception and lobby personnel is very polite, nice and welcoming. They help you using wechat and try to cover your requests. They were very kind to let me late check out. 11. I know that in the hotel there is laundry and gym. I had no time to use them. Also there is a restaurant. 12. Around the hotel there are plenty of restaurants and it is 10 minutes to the station and 15 minutes to the airport. 13. And the most important thing for me as a frequent traveller, it has no smell of smoke anywhere, its smoke free, fresh and clean. I had very very good experience. I am allergic and suffer in many places in China. It is excellent place!!! I havent found any bad points, so I give 10/10 vote.

My friend highly recommended Atour to me, so I chose it for my trip to Zhangjiajie. It's within walking distance to the Tianmen Mountain cable car station. This Atour feels quite new and very clean. The service was incredibly warm and friendly; they even upgraded our room for free and specifically arranged one away from the construction site. The breakfast had a great variety, and when they learned I can't eat spicy food, the auntie specially picked out all the chilies from my rice noodles. Today, coincidentally, the temperature dropped significantly, and the concierge even reminded us to wear warmer clothes – so thoughtful! I'll definitely be recommending this Atour to everyone I know when I get back, haha!
