We just got back from Bali and stayed at the Hotel Nikko on a bed and breakfast basis only. It's a beautiful hotel, peaceful and relaxing. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Large pool area, sun beds and perfect view of the sea. Staff are very polite, helpful and provide an outstanding service. Excellent breakfast buffet selection. We booked a family room with one bed through Trip, and it was cheaper than the identical room with two beds, even though both room types were the same price on the hotel's website. I messaged the hotel support on WhatsApp asking to change the room type, and they changed it without any issues. Before check-in, they sent an email about the option for online check-in, allowing us to upload passport scans beforehand to avoid waiting at the reception. The check-in process was quick. Upon arrival, we immediately received our room cards and a complimentary welcome drink for everyone. The pool area is fantastic; the kids loved the slides, and we all participated in the contests organized by the animators. The location is perfect, situated between Beachwalk shopping mall and Waterbom Waterpark, with the beach just across the road. The breakfasts were good, with plenty of fruits and sweets. They even had milk porridge every other day, which my son happily ate. Housekeeping cleaned daily and replaced towels. The only downsides were the very narrow balconies, only suitable for drying clothes, and the difficulty in finding sun loungers, especially four together for the whole family. It felt like tourists from Korea and Australia would reserve loungers with their towels and belongings before breakfast and then not show up until after 11 AM.FromTHB 5,346

Facilities: There are many swimming pools with clean water. There's also a beach pool, a favorite for kids, and a small private beach – not ideal for swimming, but perfect for a quick dip.
Breakfast: It's decent, enough to fill you up.
Surroundings: There's a construction site nearby, but it's not noisy, just a slight obstruction to the view.

On the very first day of our stay, my husband got severe food poisoning after breakfast. We couldn't pinpoint the exact food, but it might have been the eggs (omelet). The sea doesn't match the photos on the hotel's page; in reality, you can't really swim in it. In the bay, the water only reaches an adult's waist at most, even up to the buoys, and there's a lot of seaweed in the water. Anyone who dislikes algae at the bottom and in the water will be very uncomfortable. If you want to swim, you'll need to go to other beaches towards the southern part of the island. Hotel Location: There are many restaurants right behind the hotel! The beachfront promenade in front is perfect for leisurely strolls. You can go crabbing or shell collecting at low tide, and the seawater is quite clean! The hotel has several pools, separating kids' and adult areas.
Breakfast: Just average.

Pros: This hotel truly values its members, I was directly upgraded to an Executive Suite. Two butlers escorted me to my room, and they even remembered my name. The welcome fruit was also incredibly generous – you deserve all the success! I witnessed a breathtaking sunset that I'll remember for a lifetime. I highly recommend the pancakes and pork chop rice at the Clay Craft restaurant; they were absolutely delicious.

The hotel's location is excellent; we could watch the beach sunset from the 6th-floor restaurant. After the sun set, it was just a convenient 5-minute walk to the nearby beach, and the evening glow was beautiful. The breakfast was plentiful, with both Western and Indonesian options. I highly recommend the coconut milk beef soup; its flavor was uniquely wonderful. For dinner, we ate at the 6th-floor restaurant while watching the sunset. We ordered grilled fish, but they didn't have the one on the menu and substituted it with blue marlin. It was grilled so tough it was hard to chew and had no flavor. So, the next evening, we went to the convenient Village Hotel next to the Fox Hotel for dinner, and it was delicious. Just about ten meters out of the hotel alley, at the intersection, there's a small shop selling various souvenirs, which are quite cheap and worth a look. The bottled water provided by the hotel felt like it was refilled, so I didn't dare to drink it. We bought large bottles of water from the small shop for drinking and brushing our teeth. Good day! This was our first time visiting this hotel. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay. Let's start with the pros: nice spacious rooms, a great view, wonderful pillows, and delicious breakfasts. The beach is beautiful with easy access to the water.
Now for the cons: 1. The hotel is starting to show its age and needs renovation, especially the common areas. 2. Beach cleaning was slow. 3. It was difficult to find a sun lounger; if you didn't claim one early in the morning, you risked being without one. There were also issues with towels. 4. The restaurants were very expensive, about three times pricier than those at Bali Collection. There was an incident with our room, and it took a while to resolve the issue. However, to the hotel's credit, they offered us a complimentary meal at the Chinese restaurant as a nice gesture. Also, there's absolutely nothing for teenagers to do; there are no entertainment options for them (no table tennis, no billiards) – nothing at all.FromTHB 12,611

Overall, everything was good. My kids loved the Kid's Club, and all the staff there were very friendly and helpful.
Bali Collection provides a shuttle service through Holiday Inn, which was very convenient. The hotel is not located on the busiest street, but there are several restaurants within a few minutes' walk. There are also three mini marts just outside the hotel, which is very handy.
The only downside was the kids' pool. It seems more suitable for children below 3 years old, as the area is quite small and the water slide is not very powerful. My friend's child and mine are both 8 years old, and they were unable to stand comfortably in the adult pool, which is 120 cm deep. That was a bit disappointing.
However, I can honestly say that the service throughout our Bali trip was excellent. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Bali's hospitality was truly top-notch.FromTHB 4,350
