The room was decent, the location was great, and the bed was comfortable. However, we were assigned a first-floor room right by the entrance – I'm not sure if this was intentional – and we didn't get a wink of sleep on any of our four nights. First off, the glass door was broken and couldn't be securely locked, which meant absolutely no soundproofing. We could hear every word pedestrians said on the street. Given its central tourist location, loud pedestrians, particularly intoxicated ones, would pass by until well past midnight, making a lot of noise. Then came the constant banging of doors in the morning. Even more terrifying were the sounds of luggage being dragged and lifted (due to the building's layout, all luggage had to be carried up stairs), which sounded like an earthquake, starting as early as 5 AM. We were utterly sleep-deprived and on edge! We tried to just tough it out, but by the time we left, our entire family was completely drained.

Apartment was very spacious and clean. Our bed was okay although the pillows could be better. We had a great time preparing our dinners here because many cooking tools are provided. There are two washing tablets for our three-night stay so we did have to get our own at a Sainsbury’s nearby since we did have more clothes to wash. The washer worked fine but the dryer somehow didn’t. We tried to use it three times but the clothes were still wet in the end. We had to hang dry our clothes in the closet after spinning them at a higher RPM, which was fine because they got all dry by the next morning. There’s also an app for the hotel that you can download where you can request services from the front desk, which I thought was a nice touch. Staff was generally friendly and the location of the apartment was close to several restaurants and a grocery store, and it’s not too far from the train station. I’d definitely consider staying here if I ever visit Edinburgh again.

The location is fantastic, within walking distance to everything and right inside the scenic area. The front desk staff were incredibly patient, detailed, and thoughtful. There's hot water and an elevator. No microwave, but you can order coffee and light meals. Plenty of dining options nearby. Luggage storage was very convenient. The female guests staying here were really high-quality. I even encountered some polite young Korean guys who helped me with the door. The hostel rules say no eating or making calls indoors, and everyone was very considerate, not disturbing each other. Maybe I was just exhausted from a day of walking, but I slept exceptionally well. Lights out around 10 PM. My room was only half-occupied (off-season), so it was really spacious and the air felt clean. It's a six-minute walk from the train station and a three-minute walk from the airport shuttle drop-off. I'd definitely stay here again next time I visit. Full marks!

The room was incredibly spacious, with a separate living room. I'd definitely want to stay here long-term if I visit Scotland again. The room was very quiet, and the living room sofa converts into a bed. All the appliances were high-end brands like Dyson and Smeg. The only downside was the lack of on-site parking. There's an NCP car park under the bridge a bit further down, costing around £25 per night. The hotel is very close to the castle, about a 5-minute walk, and about 10 minutes from the city center. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, which is very convenient.

Amazing stay experience at the Ten Hill Place Hotel. I was on a trip with my mother. The staff here made our stay, checking in & out and the whole experience very easy and smooth. We did have some issues in our bathroom which was dealt with promptly by their staff. The place is very conveniently located near the center with major attractions just walks away like the royal mile, victoria street, princes street, castle and the scott monument. If you wish to travel by bus there is a bus stop just 2 mins away as well. We found lidl, sainsbury and some affordable food options just near the hotel. Although the hotel also offers their restaurant with amazing food. Our room had scenic mountain & city landscape views. Overall a very beautiful and convenient stay for people travelling or looking to explore Edinburgh. Highly recommend!!

The hotel's location in Edinburgh was a bit out of the way, not being in the city center. Our room was on the lower ground floor, directly beneath the breakfast area. In the mornings, the scraping and movement of chairs from guests having breakfast upstairs created very jarring noises in our room, which was enough to wake us up. Judging by the bathroom facilities, it seemed we were assigned an accessible room.

Such an unpleasant experience staying at this hotel. The front desk staff, Pavels, was unprofessional and displayed ****** behavior — treating our group (Chinese) very differently from other guests. We booked two Superior King rooms with 1.8m beds, but one was significantly smaller (around 1.3–1.5m) and even had a bent toilet seat. This is unacceptable for the category we booked. The only positives were the polite room service staff and the fresh apples in the lobby.

When you open the hotel window, you can see the castle, and below is Edinburgh's garden fountain. The room is very new and has complete facilities. It will feel a little far to drag your luggage back from Aibo Railway Station. There is another Premier Inn hotel slightly closer to the train station. But the unexpected bonus is that it is very close to the rural village of Dean, and it takes 10-13 minutes to walk there through navigation. Stayed 2 nights in total. Most of the guests here are local British citizens, and I have never met any Chinese.

Fantastic location! Minutes walk from Waverley station, and just next to M&S food hall. Got a free upgrade and got a corner room where I could see the castle! Very clean room with comfortable bed. Wish there was a bar fridge in the room. The room was freezing cold though cos I couldn’t seem to get the radiator to work. Also minutes walk to the tram stop to get to the airport.
