We arrived just as the hotel was subject to a power cut. The young guy receptionist took us to the room as our door keys would not work due to the electricity outage. The electricity came back on in reception about 5 minutes later but someone had to go room to room to reset each rooms supply. Some 2 hours later after having sat in the dark unable to unpack and several tracks to reception and being told we were priority we gave up and went out to dinner in the clothes we travelled in after a 4 hour 30 minutes flight. Other hotels were affected in the same street apparently. Once this issue was sorted by the time we got back from dinner everything was great. Lovely breakfast, lovely room with Molton Brown shower gel, shampoo and hand soap and lotion. Lovely pool and no issue getting sun beds. Short walk to the beach and dunes but a lot of steps up and down. Also 10 minute walk to Yumbo shopping centre which had everything you needed from great shops to excellent restaurants and bars. Great place for LGBTQ to meet up and great place to people watch. Definitely recommend

This time, I booked two five-star hotels on the island, both of which are owned by riu. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages. The desert is right next to it. The sunset is particularly beautiful, and the hotel staff are also very enthusiastic. The swimming pool is a saltwater swimming pool that feels like swimming in the sea, and the room is not bad. Mine is a pair of two single beds put together. You can also note that you need a single bed. There are a complete range of food and beverages, and you really get what you pay for. The hotel is not too big, but although the sparrow is small, it has all internal organs. The only thing is that when the wind blows near the desert, a lot of sand will be blown, but it doesn't matter if you go back to the room and take a shower. There are buses and taxis outside the hotel, the transportation is convenient, there are restaurants, bars and shops everywhere, and it is a very mature place for vacation and tourism.

The hotel has a modern and pleasant image. The beds are quite comfortable and the rooms are large. Disadvantages: The cleaning service first thing in the morning is quite noisy, not precisely because of the noise of the appliances, but because the cleaners shout to talk. I consider it a lack of respect, professionalism and consideration for the people who have paid for a break violated by that bad attitude. It happened to me on a Sunday at 8.00am. The breakfast, good fruit, but a lot of industrial and little native food abounds.

The location of the hotel is good, more than ten minutes walk from the famous British beach. The back door of the hotel is a large market with shops and bars and restaurants. The room is quite large and clean. The breakfast is particularly rich and varied. Especially orange juice is completely squeezed! Must like 👍 In the evening, the hotel will hold a pool concert, and the female singer sings really well. The staff is very enthusiastic and take the initiative to help with the luggage. The restaurant staff is also very enthusiastic. The flaw is: the safe is not available for electricity, and the seat decoration is not in place: leaking.

The hotel is very well located, close to a bus stop, supermarkets, and restaurants. There's a free shuttle bus to Playa del Inglés and Maspalomas. The breakfast was spectacular and plentiful. The pool was very clean and the water was a good temperature. They provide towels with a €10 deposit for the pool. There's live entertainment and/or music every night. All the staff were very friendly. It could use some renovations; the mattresses are sagging a bit. There's a free in-room safe. They have a complimentary shower, and you can use the pool on the day of checkout. There's a refrigerator in the room. It's quite noisy from the main avenue, so I suggest earplugs. I would definitely return.

The hotel is conveniently located in the city center, 10 minutes from a beach area with many restaurants and shops. It has a large, clean lobby and a rooftop area with umbrellas, chairs, and loungers. On the rooftop, there are two small warm-water pools, a bar, a tanning area, showers, and bathrooms. The food selection is very wide and good, but it varies greatly depending on the style of the place, so if you're looking for something similar to Italian cuisine and/or healthy, you'll have to give it a bit of a miss. I mean, the food is good and varied, but it tends to be highly processed and therefore heavy on sauces, spices, and oil, which limits the choice for those who prefer simple dishes. The rooms are nice and clean, and due to a problem with the shower glass, a technician came to fix it within a few hours. The selection of drinks at the bar can be interesting for those who drink alcohol, which costs more than soft drinks. The soft drinks, in fact, are mostly juices and mixes with supermarket items. Let me explain: the cocktails are good, but the juice is made with tea powder or is the low-cost kind. If you're expecting juices or drinks with fruit in them, you won't find them. Breakfast, on the other hand, is very varied and can satisfy your needs in a healthier way than lunch and dinner. Even here, however, the juices and hot drinks are powders mixed with water. The coffee is good, but it's not coffee like it's made in Italy...

I was there for 3 nights as a single traveler. The hotel was very good, very friendly staff, very clean everything. My room on the 5th floor was very beautiful, sea view, with small balcony. The food was varied and tasted well, the dining room is quite large, but despite many people the old wardrobe was quickly cleaned. A clear recommendation from me for this hotel! Thank you to all the staff for the kindness and helpfulness. And then another recommendation for a Swedish massage of Lourdes and her sister, offered in the hotel. It was great!

I only have one small criticism: The acoustics and atmosphere in the large dining room are not pleasant, as all the walls are bare. This could be improved with little effort. It simply does not do justice to the rest of the hotel. Otherwise, I can only say that this hotel sets new standards in quality and service in Maspalomas! It was not only renovated like many other hotels, but completely refurbished and brought up to new building standards! And I know what I'm talking about - I've been going to Maspalomas every year for 20 years and know many hotels! A lot of money has gone into this. I would just like to name a few highlights: - the fastest WiFi I've had in Maspalomas so far (speed test showed all the way up); perfect for working remotely and making video calls smoothly - the gym is amazing and free for hotel guests (see ”Stark Fitness Club”) - there are only comfortable Bali beds by the pool - breakfast and dinner are super varied and of very high quality (bread selection like in Germany with wholemeal bread, etc.). You can also book the evening buffet on site for €25 if necessary. - bathroom is huge and has a double sink - you can choose between several lighting moods on the bedside table and there are very good reading lights - rooms are larger than average - noisy at the back towards the street but the windows are completely soundproof. You can't hear anything and the air conditioning is very easy to control - free room safe with interior lighting and big enough for notebooks - kettle, free coffee - all the staff seem happy and are extremely friendly etc. etc. etc.
