Reviews From Real Travelers
The hotel is located next to the main square in the center of Frankfurt, within walking distance of historical landmarks, suitable for both business and leisure. The room is equipped with a skyline window and a kitchenette, with excellent lighting, soft and comfortable bedding, clean and tidy bathroom space, smart toilet and free toiletries. The most surprising thing is the free use of the swimming pool and parking lot, and the enthusiastic service of the 24-hour front desk when checking in late at night makes people feel at ease. Although breakfast is not reflected in the screenshot, it is speculated that it should include simple meal options based on brand conventions. The per capita price combined with point rewards and convenient reimbursement services is extremely cost-effective! It is especially suitable for business travelers or city explorers who are looking for a convenient location in the city center. I will recommend it to friends who travel frequently!

The location is excellent, just opposite the European Central Bank. The building is very old and the surrounding environment is very good. You can walk to the old town of Frankfurt, where there are many places to visit. During the business trip, it may not be the peak season, so there are fewer people. The room is large and the divisions are reasonable. Highly recommended.

Just near the train station, right next to the famous French fries shop (and sex museum) ~ superb location ~ but the interior of the hotel is very ordinary, the room is small and old, in order to cost-effective, squeeze a squeeze and endure ~

The hotel is a short walk from Frankfurt Central Station. The rooms are small but clean and there are no living and supporting facilities around them. They only meet basic accommodation needs, business or travel.

Overall, this stay was just average! The hotel boasts a fantastic view, and the surrounding area is convenient for dining and shopping. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the window offered a wide view. The front desk staff were reasonably friendly and recommended nearby attractions. The breakfast had a good variety of options and was decent in taste.

The hotel's location is excellent, right by the square and Queen's Department Store. I highly recommend it; getting around is super convenient. The staff were all very friendly and helpful (except for a few in the restaurant who seemed to be from Southeast Asia; they spoke to you as if they were scolding you, and their attitude was quite rude, which really detracted from the overall staff image). Breakfast was quite plentiful, and the room size was decent and quiet. However, due to the layout, you could only fully open one large suitcase without it getting in the way of walking.

Canal Belt Amsterdam|0.85km from city center
Excellent room, excellent location and atmosphere of the hotel. Staff however, too often, go according to the 'book', and find it hard to think and improvise on the spot. It's as if they are under trained. When checking in there is no need to ask the guest to fill info on the iPad. You have this info, to stay in touch, already. Don't burden the weary traveler with trivial nonsense. If the sun shines, finally after weeks of grey and rain, and a guest sees the patio with tables in the sun, and this guest wants to have tea in the sun outside in the patio, this has to be a possibility. Don't say, well it's not the season so it's closed, it doesn't make sense, you're a top hotel, not the vander Valk. Improvise, think on your feet, explain that he is welcome to sit there and that his tea will be brought out, but it might take a few minutes longer. This way the guest feels listened to and that the moon is even possible. The kitchen is incredible, the food is wonderful. Last evening I had dinner at the Jansz., two ladies working, were very kind, helpful and attentive, they understood the delicate balance between asking how things are going and leaving the guest alone. I want them to know i appreciate them. Please extend my gratitude to them. Also the Asian looking lady who worked during breakfast this morning, was excellent. Please let her know as well. Finally, the staff at the entrance - getting cabs etc. - are great. Some of the male staff are too - in Dutch, popy yoopy. I am your guest and not your friend. That's all, and that's enough. Thank you for a great stay and I hope to come back again when I am back in the Netherlands. Kind regards, Diederik Lugt

I would definitely come back here again! The staff we're very friendly and helpful. The room was cosy and the amenities were great. The room had a yoga mat, full size ironing board and an iron. On the rainy days they even offered umbrellas to take and use for the day. We needed the heating turned up in our room and within minutes it was resolved. Great location – very close to Amsterdam Central Station and within walking distance of the Red Light District. There are also lots of boutiques and concept stores right outside the hotel, which makes it really convenient for shopping and exploring the area. The room itself looks like it has been recently renovated and is quite modern. However, the sound insulation is really poor. The hotel is on a street with several bars, and the windows don’t block much noise, so it can get pretty loud at night and it was hard to sleep. Check-in was also really slow. Overall, the location is excellent, but the noise at night and the slow check-in could definitely be improved.

Great location, close to the train station and the city's main attractions. There's a tram stop nearby, and you can be in the museum district in just 10 minutes. We were able to check in earlier than expected, and the room looked just like the pictures. It was clean, but very basic – no slippers or tissues. This is the first time I've stayed in a 4-star hotel room without cups (just glasses) and teaspoons (just wooden stirrers). Instant coffee in the room for a 4-star hotel is pretty underwhelming; usually, at this level, you get pour-over coffee or a Nespresso machine. The price is high, but for the same money, you'd get a much higher standard in a 4-star hotel in neighboring Belgium.

Location is great! with walking distance to Museums and main shopping and dining areas of Amsterdam. Nearest tram is Museumplein, and about 5-10mins walk. Room was small and toilet was quite tight, with basic shampoo and shower gel only, but spending most time outdoor exploring it didn’t matter much. Bed was comfortable and warm for the winter - opened the windows for better ventilation, overall good. They have an elevator, that helps bringing luggages easier to upper floors.

I had a lovely stay at Generator. If your goal is to meet people, this is a great choice. It's a very social hostel, and during the weekend I stayed, there was a party going on from the basement all the way up to the first floor. It created a fun atmosphere, and the staff were all lovely and welcoming. However, if your priority is getting a good night's sleep, this might not be the best option. I stayed in a 6-bed dorm with two triple bunk beds, and the room felt quite cramped, so you could hear almost every movement. The large storage drawers under the beds were large, but they were also quite noisy whenever someone opened or closed them. And I told you about those parties right? You could still hear the music from the room late into morning.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploring Amsterdam. The location was excellent—just a short walk from Noord Metro Station, with the city centre only around 15 minutes away. It made getting around incredibly convenient. A special thank you to the team for the thoughtful surprise to celebrate my parents’ wedding anniversary. It was a lovely gesture that made their special day even more memorable, and we truly appreciated the kindness. The only minor issue was that housekeeping was a little inconsistent. We left a note requesting mineral water to be refilled, but on some days it wasn’t replenished. That said, the staff at reception were always very responsive, and we could easily collect anything we needed from there. Overall, we had a great stay and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam. 😊

This is a pretty standard luxury hotel, with no major issues. There's a mini-fridge, but it's not cold enough and doesn't come stocked with anything. However, the umbrella is a high-end carbon fiber one, which is quite rare and a nice touch. The bathroom drain had a bit of a problem, probably a clog from hair that needs to be cleaned promptly. My biggest issue, though, was the front desk – they were incredibly slow! Especially during check-out. I've never seen a hotel where you have to wait in line one by one; usually, you just leave your room card and go.

Overall experience was great, one of the late morning check-in male staff was really welcoming and even upgraded me to a higher floor with a fantastic view of the river. But since the checkin is 3pm, when I got back, another burlier guy got us our keys but was way too serious and sombre. It's fine but a smile would go a long way. One tiny irk was the lack of bedroom slippers in a carpeted room. I feel it should be basic. And this is the one time I didn't bring a just-in-case pair and i was caught out. Anyway, location is good, tram connection to the Centraal Station just across the street or a 10min walk.

I stayed at Hotel Estherea in Amsterdam and had an excellent experience. The location is great; you can pretty much walk everywhere, and it's situated in a beautiful area right by the canal. The hotel itself is super charming, with classic, cozy decor full of delightful details. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, with a very good bed. At this hotel, Kennis at the front desk was the only one who was the most warm and polite 👍🏽 He was very kind to my daughter, and for two days in a row, no matter how busy he was, he would immediately stop what he was doing, rush into the staff room, and bring a little gift back for my daughter. There are many hotels here that don’t include free parking, and some are said to include it on travel sites, but after reading the reviews, it turns out there’s actually a parking fee. I’ve already done all my research, and even trip.com clearly says this Holiday Inn includes free parking. At check-in, I was told there would be a charge, but another staff member said it was free. Then at check-out, they suddenly said there would be a charge again, but in the end it was free. It was quite confusing. I also didn’t feel very safe. While I was asleep, it was very noisy outside the room. It sounded like people coming back after drinking, repeatedly pressing our doorbell and trying the handle to open the door. Luckily, I had the door double-locked and had also pushed a chair against it. The hotel explained that they may have pressed the wrong room by mistake and were not trying to get in to steal anything 🤔 Free breakfast at the hotel, but it was absolutely packed! The cutlery was really dirty, and I reckon they couldn’t get it washed in time. Also, they didn’t check any guest details at all, so it felt like people from the street next door could just walk in and eat without anyone noticing. There are food markets and budget supermarkets next to the hotel. A free ferry to and from the city centre is about a 10-minute walk away, with frequent services and a journey time of around 2 minutes.的

The location is a bit out of the way; it's about a 7-minute walk to Tram Line 2 and 12 minutes to the metro station. Getting to the city center takes over half an hour. The room was very simple and clean, and the air conditioning worked great. The bathroom had a partial wet/dry separation, but water would still splash into the dry area when showering. The shower gel had a unique scent (like a high-end traditional Chinese medicine). The front desk staff were not very friendly. Both check-in and check-out are self-service, and the staff preferred to chat rather than offer assistance. The employee who handled my luggage storage after check-out was very impatient.
