The service, food, hot spring tub were excellent and the staff was very attentive. The only thing I wish could have been better is the outlets to plug my phone into. We couldn’t find one in the bedroom/sleep quarters (Japanese tatami). So make sure to bring a portable charger if you don’t want to be away from your phone. Another advice would be more of a treat if they provided a face mask and sleep wear. The reason I’d suggest this is because another competitor hotel of theirs provided very considerate toiletries for the ladies and I think that was a HUGE plus for me considering we spent a lot of money for one night. Anyways, overall villa 32 is great if you just want to spend a few hours to relax.

Breakfast is a Western set menu and there are three main dishes. The extra bed should be discussed with the hotel, and the room has extra space for an extra bed. Children under the age of 16 are not allowed. There are only 5 rooms in the heart of the Beitou Hot Spring Area, going to the geothermal valley, Meiting Yuliang as the former residence, Beitou Library and Museum are very close, walking distance.

the hotel resort was amazing! service was so good and the room was sooo cozy. amazing for couples who want a peaceful getaway! we stayed for 1 night and felt so sad that it ended so quickly. but it was the last night of our trip and it was a great way to end our taiwan trip. will definitely want to be back again for 2 nights next time to have more time to explore the city area and also to make use of more amenities.

The hotel's free shuttle service from Beitou Station was fantastic! The welcome drink in the room was plum wine, which was absolutely delicious. The minibar drinks and snacks were also very tasty and completely free. Plus, there's a hot spring museum nearby, which is a great bonus! Breakfast was decent.

The hotel's interior decor is stunning, with a strong Japanese feel. The rooms are clean and spacious, featuring a private onsen and yukata. Plus, there are complimentary drinks and snacks. If you check in around 3 PM, you can enjoy a tea ceremony performance with free green tea and snacks. Breakfast offers a wide and delicious selection!

the room was comfortable and spacious with a good size hotspring. no amenities except tissue paper. towels not provided at the public hotspring dressing room instead each locker had one set, except mine unfortunately. staff greeted us when checked in. bowed and waved us goodbye as we left. but one one moved a figure to help with luggages.

Wellness descends upon arrival at this hotel. I must say we were blown away - by the design and experience. This was an excellent hotel and environment and one of the best stays in Taipei our family had. There is welcome snacks and drinks and a very serene peaceful space in every corner of the hotel. We enjoyed the quiet ambience and respectful service by the various staff. The in-room onsen bath is a highlight of the stay. And the beds (we had a large king) was simply divine. The mattress topper was superb, firm and yet supportive and comfortable. The variety of pillows available made our sleep sweet. I have to commend the quality of bedding - it is excellent! The decor and room is elegantly well-designed with thoughtful details, we appreciated it so much. I would definitely come back to Beitou again just to stay here again! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

This was our first onsen-in-room experience, and the room itself was spectacular. We were upgraded to a premium room with outdoor onsen and hinoki bathtubs. Happy hour, dinner, and breakfast were all wonderful. However, all hospitality ended the moment we checked out. We left our luggage at 11 AM and returned at 6:30 PM to collect it before our 7 PM ride. Upon entering, a staff member stopped me and defensively asked what my business was. After explaining we just needed to wait in the lounge, we were met with total coldness. We knew we weren't entitled to the ongoing happy hour, but to not even be offered a glass of water at a premium hotel charging RM1,500+++ a night is unacceptable. We felt completely unwelcome and awkward. The jarring contrast between how we were treated as paying guests versus checked-out guests felt like a punch in the stomach. This hypocrisy speaks volumes about the hotel's values. We went from planning our next stay to ensuring we will never step foot here again.

This trip exceeded all our expectations! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful during check-in. When they learned it was our anniversary, they even upgraded us to a Maple Forest Room and surprised us with a lovely small cake in the evening, which made my wife very happy. The hot spring quality and facilities were top-notch. Although the water filter in the indoor water dispenser needed replacing, the staff quickly provided bottled mineral water. Overall, the minor flaw didn't detract from the experience. Highly recommended!

The hotel is set in a quiet location but walkable to all nearby attractions. It's located near the Xinbeitou station with a short cut which only takes 5 minutes to reach. Breakfast in the hotel was good and all the staff are excellent. The hotel replenished It's complimentary minivan and fruit basket daily. I like that the drinks in the minibar it supplies are all quality drinks, not sugar sodas. Highly recommended.

Sweetme Hotspring Resort is a fantastic place to unwind and recharge. The location is excellent, just a few minutes’ walk from Xinbeitou Station and conveniently close to many restaurants. One of the highlights of the stay was the spa experience. Guests can enjoy both the private in-room hot spring and the public spa facilities. The room was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. Breakfast was another strong point, with a good selection of food to start the day right. Overall, Sweetme Hotspring Resort delivers a well-rounded experience with great amenities, a prime location, and a relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely come back again.

We are long-time Taipei residents and now whole of Beitou area pretty well becuause we like hot sorings very much. Relaxing undisturbed atmosphere of this hotel is certainly big advantage. Its clean to perfection with minimalistic style of high-end japanese style onsen. i loved wooden floorings in the rooms , great hot spring bath with convenient hot spring water and mountain water taps so you can regulate the temperature you like. outside atmospheric is so amazing natural you wake up and feel yourself like somewhere deep in the jungle forgetting for sometime that you are close walking distance to Xinbeitou station. I walked around in the morning to Beitou Hot Spring Museum area, had wonderful breakfast with family and felt shiawase along every moment i stay there

This place was amazing! I was a little hesitant to book because it went over our budget, but I'm so glad we did. They made us feel like guests rather than customers. I only regret not booking for at least 3 days! The one thing that bothered me was not knowing the full details about the shuttle service they provide (pick up location and times), but when I messaged them they replied pretty quickly. Place is spotless and they provide snacks and coffee/tea/water in the room. We would definitely come back if ever in Taiwan again!

Overall, my experience with the hot springs was pretty good, but there's a rather serious safety issue I need to highlight. First, the positives: The environment and cleanliness were above standard. The room was tidy and odorless, making for a comfortable stay. There are also some attractions and places to explore nearby, so the location is generally convenient, perfect for a relaxing getaway and a short trip. However, the room's design presents a clear hazard: there's an uneven floor with a noticeable drop that's hard to spot at night when not all the lights are on. I nearly tripped and lurched forward, hitting the TV directly. If I had actually fallen or hit something harder, it could have caused a rather serious injury. I strongly recommend the hotel takes this seriously, at the very least by providing clear warnings or improving the lighting and flow of the room's design. To sum up, the basic accommodation experience was okay, but this safety concern cannot be ignored. If this could be improved, the overall rating would go up significantly.
- Guest User
The location is a little walk from the MRT station, a few hundred meters or so, but if you have a private car, this isn't an issue at all. The room is very clean, situated halfway up a small hill, making it wonderfully quiet at night. The lighting is dimly toned, perfect for a romantic getaway. The front desk staff are incredibly polite, always standing to greet you when you come and go. Waking up in the morning, you can open the window to hear the clear sound of the river and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The hot spring tub is absolutely fantastic.

I have a special soft spot for this place! I've visited five times within a year, and each time there's been a small improvement. This time, the tall, slender, handsome guy at reception told me we could use the public hot spring twice a day, and I finally got to try the mango pudding and milk jelly I'd only ever seen before! That really changed my mind for the better. And for breakfast, they even had a fresh-ground coffee machine – that was a pleasant surprise! However, this was probably the smallest room I've stayed in during all my visits. But there's a good chance I'll be back for a sixth time this year...

I stayed for 2 nights and woke up with an itchy body, my feet covered in bites from what felt like an unknown bug. The itch was unbearable, even after applying medicine. Considering the 2-night stay cost nearly 2000 yuan, we bought a watermelon and asked the front desk if they had any tools to cut it, but they said no. I also asked if I could borrow nail clippers since my nails were long, and again, the answer was no. The room was spacious but lacked ventilation. If you're just looking for a hot spring soak, one night here is enough; other places offer better value for money.

The location of the Hotel isn't that convenient to go to, so it's recommend to look at their shuttle bus timing or simply book an Uber to ride up the hill. Each room that you book also comes with a 1x free visit to the outdoor Spa facilities so I highly suggest you to bring a swim wear to go as it's pretty good even at night time. As for the room it's spacious like other reviews photos have shown but not a lot of people have shown the bathroom/toilet so I'm including it here. It's a very spacious Toilet with the bathtub that has the Onsen water, and the shower head beside the bathtub.

I loved the outdoor hot spring pools, there are several ones of different temperatures and features. Staying in the hotel allows you to use the outdoor pools for free. It was relaxing to soak in the hot spring pools while enjoying the fresh outdoor air. Inside the hotel room also has hot spring tubs. The room was a bit dated, but clean and tidy overall. Breakfast was quite good too.

The Howard Plaza Hotel has an excellent location, very close to Daan Forest Park and Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT Station. The surrounding area has a full range of amenities and is very safe. The staff are attentive and friendly. As an older hotel, the facilities are a bit dated, and the room decor has a classic, slightly old-fashioned feel, but all of this is perfectly acceptable. The only downside was that the room number sign on my floor (I think it was the 6th floor, facing Ren'ai Road) seemed to be incorrect, directing me in the wrong direction from the elevator. I walked all the way to the end of the hall and couldn't find my room, so I had to turn back and eventually found it in the opposite direction. It was a bit frustrating. I hope they can fix that sign.

The front desk service was exceptionally good. They noticed my child was quite tall and worried the bed in our booked room might not be comfortable, so they upgraded our room and even provided a complimentary children's breakfast. I was really touched, and it left a fantastic impression of the hotel. Although the hotel stay was a bit over our budget, the service we received was worth several times the room rate, making it incredibly good value for money. My child has already decided they want to stay here again on our next trip!

It is one of the iconic hotels in Taipei with magnificent structure and views. However on the day of our check in, there was a kindergarteners graduation party. With 100+ children running and screaming in the lobby area makes me feel like I am in a fish market not an upscale hotel. If the Libby manager or Conceirge can step in to control the crowd, it would have been a better experience for me . The buffet restaurant has extensive selection of food and they all tasted great. The musicians at the lobby performed well during my stay and it wasa pleasure sitting in the lobby to enjoy the music. The secret pathways are pleasant surprises. But the tours are not for people with walking issues since participants needs to walk down 70+ steps to get a full view of the secret pathways. I highly recommend staying here.

The service was pretty good; I didn't touch my luggage after getting out of the car. However, I didn't have many needs or encounter much service to begin with. There were a lot of Japanese staff members... both times I checked in and out, they were Japanese women, and I struggled to understand their Chinese. Maybe they should stick to speaking Japanese... The room was a bit old but perfectly fine, standard for a five-star hotel. Two large brass keys offered the ultimate vintage experience. They're still practicing 'eco-friendliness' by shifting costs to guests, providing a sanitary bag which was genuinely inconvenient since I was on my period. The bathtub wasn't great; at 1.72m, I just barely fit in, it wasn't spacious at all, and it only had one faucet, no adjustment. No slippers or disposables, but I loved the scent of the three bath products. The welcome fruit was a bit of a joke; the welcome pastries, however, surprised me at first, coming in such a large wooden box. But then I thought, how is this different from being handed a random pile of wedding candies? I couldn't eat it all anyway. It was annoying that there wasn't a three-pin socket by the bed to charge my phone's dual Type-C ports; only the desk had two, one 110V and one 220V. Directly opposite the window was just a regular vintage residential building, but there was a distant view of Taipei 101, which was a pleasant surprise. The public areas exuded old money charm... The underground Regent Galleria is a high-end mall... I'd never seen one inside a hotel before, quite an experience. There were also many dessert shops. For me, zero appeal, zero shopping capability. The design of the restaurant or banquet hall near the lobby was a bit poor, with many steps and no accessibility facilities, still very vintage. There was a piano and cello performance in the pool at the bottom of the building in the evening. P12-15 The good reviews for this place really come down to nostalgia and food, I guess. I hadn't booked breakfast, but after seeing so many positive reviews, I quickly added it. It was $968 per person. Open from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM, with the last seating at 9:30 AM. I went at 9 AM, and it was mostly full, so it's clearly very popular. The variety was indeed rich, with many ********* specialties, and the taste was decent, though not amazing. Apart from the service and breakfast being standard, my personal experience felt more like 4.5 stars.

Great location with unbeatable convenience. The hotel is right across from Taipei Main Station, making it very easy to access MRT, HSR, and TRA. It’s also surrounded by shops and F&B options. I especially enjoyed the nearby old food stalls selling egg pancake, delicious toast bread, soya bean milk, and milk tea. Ximending Night Market is walkable from the hotel, which is a big plus. Even at 3am, I could still grab snacks because FamilyMart is open 24 hours everywhere. Facilities: Gym could be improve. Staff service was average. The hotel is a bit dated, which wasn't exactly what I had hoped for, but I was aware of it when making the reservation. The location of this hotel is perfect, situated right next to 101. A short walk across the footbridge and you have access to a number of restaurants and food court. Unfortunately, two full days of our stay were declared typhoon holidays, so we couldn’t go out to explore the city. Thankfully, the hotel has a cozy lounge on the 5th floor that offers complimentary snacks, coffee, and tea from 1:00 p.m. until midnight. It was a wonderful place to relax and unwind instead of staying in our room all day. We also really enjoyed the daily breakfast, which offered a delicious variety of food and was consistently excellent. Take the Exit X5 elevator to reach the hotel.
