This House has better views and is nicer inside than most other homes in the area. Be assured that we are taking extra care to clean & disinfect our house between each stay. This beautiful ocean view home is located in a quiet, most desirable area of Lincoln City called Road's End. The great room, which includes the living room and dining room, has floor to ceiling windows with a view of the waves and sunsets as you sit next to the gas fireplace. . There is a large deck with a barbeque and a great view of the ocean. Enjoy listening to the sounds of the ocean. Watch the deer visiting the back yard mornings and evenings. There are 3 bedrooms with queen-size beds and a queen sleeper sofa bed in the living room that sleeps 2. The loft master bedroom also has a view of the ocean and it's own bathroom. The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot , toaster and everything needed for cooking and dining. There is also a washer and dryer. Easy access to a long, sandy beach is about a 4 minute walk. There are hiking trails and a Casino with a golf course near by. There is boating at Devil's Lake a mile away. The nearest grocery store, Safeway, is less than a mile away. There is an outlet mall in Lincoln City, as well as many restaurants and shops. There is recreation center with a gym and pool in town that has daily rates. We had a good stay, unfortunately the pool was an ice bath and one of the reason we chose the hotel. Next time when calling we will have to verify yes indeed there is a pool and also verify if it is a heated pool. We loved the shuffleboard table and foosball.

The Siletz Bay Beachfront Hotel has an excellent location. The rooms are good and are reasonably clean. The hotel is aging somewhat gracefully but still has no air conditioning in the rooms. The service however is not friendly to fishermen staying there to fish for the outstanding Fall run of Pacific Salmon in the Siletz River. Specifically, the rigid office hours of 7 am to 10 pm are all but useless for fishermen. In 3 years of staying there I have yet to be able to take advantage of their free breakfast. Also, there is no freezer on site that is usable for fishermen. I was specifically denied access to a freezer for my fish fillets that is there (behind a locked door) for what are (IMHO) very bogus reasons. I also had issues with an extremely noisy ventilation system coming from somewhere other than my bathroom (reported after my first night but never fixed during my 7 nights there), hot water that would run out halfway through my shower, and a loss of TV during my last 2 days there. For all these reasons I will be looking to stay elsewhere when I return to Lincoln City to fish next Fall.

The pool wasn’t open but the hot tub was, although we didn’t use it. 11am check out was helpful, compared to some hotels with an earlier checkout time.

The Sandcastle overall was a great place to stay and we may return again in the future. I was very frustrated however that there was zero advisory that the Sandcastle was under construction. We arrived around 3:30pm on Saturday and it was very noisy in our room until about 7pm. After driving to the coast we had wanted to take a nap before dinner but that was not possible. With having higher rates on the weekends, I am very disappointed that they don't wait until during the week to do construction. We paid over $200 a night, where as during the week there are rates as low as $90. Other than the construction, our room was very nice. We enjoyed the ocean front view and fireplace in our room.
