The location is top-notch, the toiletries are also top-notch, Dyson hair dryer, smart toilet, stroll around the harbor at night, walk around the Opera House and Sydney Botanic Gardens. The scenery is so beautiful that it doesn't seem real, it's like a fairy tale. Lying in bed and watching the Opera House at sunrise or sunset, what can I complain about this kind of life?

The view is amazing! The food is also very good. We also ordered dinner in the library in the lobby, which was also very delicious. Nina in the breakfast department was also very enthusiastic and provided excellent service! The only drawback is the dining room. The taste is not as good as expected, but the price-performance ratio is OK.

My husband and I stayed in Sofitel for 3 nights and everything was honestly 10/10. The staff are excellent - so friendly and helpful. They attended to all our needs. Special shoutout to Nia and Kla for being so friendly :) The place itself is luxurious and all the amenities were fantastic. The buffet was just phenomenal - they had everything you can ask for! One of the best breakfast buffets we have had and we have travelled all over the world. We felt spoilt for choice. We loved our stay here and definitely would highly recommend!! Oh and I can’t forget to mention that the location is super convenient surrounding Darling Harbour and Cockle Bay Wharf - had several places to eat and just an overall beautiful atmosphere.

This is the first time we had stayed at this hotel and we were drawn in by the corner room. The view is quite amazing. However there is a construction site happening in front so we could see cranes only which did take away from the view. I can imagine that after the building has been built the view that the Sofitel house will be very poor as he will have an obstructed view to Darling Harbour. Otherwise the room service food was good. The breakfast food was good and this hotel definitely gave a business feel however it still felt quite luxurious and I have no complaints.

Reviews From Real Travelers
My first review on Trip and I don't usually bother to write reviews - shows you how much the hotel impressed me. We stayed for 1 night in Capella Sydney as a family of 3. The hotel facilities were absolutely amazing, decor was gorgeous and food options at Aperture and Brasserie were awesome. However, I won't dwell on these too much as I'm sure when you booked into a Capella brand hotel, you will already assume this as a given right? One highlight in terms of facilities though, was The Living Room, which is assessible to all guests staying in the hotel. It had beverages, snacks, comfy sofas and 6 star service. We spent so much time there chilling with our son and in the end it really became ”our living room”. Enough of that, let me move on to the service which blew our minds. I'll give you a few examples and hopefully you can see why I feel it would be criminal for me not to write a review. 1. On arrival when we got out of our car and the porters were helping us with our luggage, somehow they addressed me by name. Maybe it's because they saw I had a 2 year old and I was the only guest checking in that day with a small child. Still, I was super impressed. I've only experienced this previously at Aman hotels. 2. Upon checking in, Sophie (I hope I got your name right!) was super helpful and cheerful. When she saw my young son, she also proactively asked if we needed a later check out and if our son needed to nap. She immediately offered to give us 2pm late check out. However, having told her our son actually takes his nap at 2pm, she told us to come back and check with the front desk the next day and they can extend it till 4pm. Remember, I didn't request this, she did this completely out of her own initiative. 3. We didn't book dinner and Sophie referred us to Madiha of the Cultural team. Madiha took note of all our requirements, including the need for the restaurant to be 2 year old friendly, and within 15 mins emailed me a full list of restaurants and their menus for me to choose from while she also served us drinks and snacks at the living room. We eventually picked an Italian restaurant and she made the reservation for us. Fyi, it was scrumptious. 4. After breakfast, we were walking around the lobby and my son walked past the cakeshop and saw a raspberry tart. He really wanted it but I told him we just had breakfast. Ton (?)(I hope I got your name right, the Thai gentleman with a love for cars), the manager came up and said ”you can have the tart for free! It's on the house!”. I was stunned. He also spent so much time talking to my son and showing him pictures of cars, unbelievable. Shout out also to Matthew (uncle Hao Jun) for being so warm and hospitable to us. Honestly we were feeling so sad leaving the hotel as everyone felt like friends and family to us. One thing is for sure though, we will be back. Absolutely flawless service, kudos to the Capella Sydney team!

I recently stayed at Capella Sydney and was thoroughly impressed. The rooms were stylish and comfortable, with every detail thoughtfully done. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. The location is perfect for exploring the city. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and definitely worth the stay!

The room was very spacious. I booked a twin room with two 1.5-meter beds, which could easily accommodate an entire family. All the facilities in the hotel are brand new, especially the outdoor infinity pool, which is absolutely stunning and perfect for photos. The breakfast was also very rich, and the restaurant where it's served has a beautiful view. On the third floor, there's a Chinese restaurant with a great design. They offer dim sum for lunch, and the prices are reasonable. Right next door, there's also an 88 Noodle House, offering plenty of choices. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip to Sydney. The views are beautiful, but the mattress is terrible. It's incredibly soft, and the pillows are super hard. Every night I felt like I'd been beaten up, waking up with aches all over. Overall, the service was okay. The room service staff were particularly friendly, always with a big smile 😊. However, some of the other service personnel seemed a bit 'mean' and impolite. My driver was in a Mercedes, and one of the reception staff at the entrance was extremely warm towards my driver, completely ignoring me standing there with a pile of luggage. They didn't offer to help with my bags or even load them into the car. Unbelievable!

We had a good stay at the Hilton. The location of the hotel is perfect. The staff was veey kind and helpful. We received a 50dollar daily discount on food and bev which was a nice surprise. The food at the restaurants was amazing, but the service on our first night was a bit slow. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again.

A hotel with an excellent location and very friendly staff. The beautiful view over Copacabana and the service on the beach make the experience extra special. However, the room (906) was disappointing in terms of soundproofing. Due to the special layout, I could hear my neighbors - even their conversations - very well, which disturbed my sleep considerably. I subtly indicated this at the reception, but no solution was offered, possibly because the hotel was fully booked. In addition, I found it striking that coffee in the room was for a fee. Although I hardly drink coffee myself and certainly not in a hotel room, this still detracted from the experience. In a five-star hotel you expect this to be a standard service, especially considering the room price. A filled minibar is understandable, but coffee and tea should be a given. All in all, recommended for those who are not sensitive to noise, but the hotel could invest in better soundproofing and a more hospitable policy regarding basic facilities.

Excellent location and pleasant surroundings, however, there were leaks in the windows caused by a problem with the glass sealing (already known by the hotel, it was using duct tape to alleviate it), the noise of the leak during the night, while it was raining, was loud and irritating, I had to use towels to alleviate the noise and be able to sleep.

The room layout is very warm, clean and tidy. Except for the air conditioner which makes a little loud noise, everything else is very good. As you can see in the photo, the air conditioning in the room was an old model and was in need of maintenance. It was making a terrible intermittent noise. I was glad that I had been switched rooms, but the other one had another problem. Although it had modern air conditioning, it faced the street, where there is a bar next door. Even at two in the morning, there was a group of people in the corner of the bar drinking and yelling continuously at the highest volume possible. Even though I was on the fourth floor, kept everything closed and put my cell phone on to play white noise, I could still hear them. I had to use headphones. In any case, I had a terrible night's sleep. The breakfast was good and the staff were polite. The room looks old, but it is very tidy and perfectly adequate in terms of physical structure, except for the air conditioning. If the hotel would take care of the peace and quiet around it (by calling the police, for example) and maintain the air conditioning, it would be a great hotel. But if I could, I would choose another place.

I checked into the hotel and was very impressed at everything, the welcome, genuine friendliness from the front reception staff, but in particular one person was an absolute diamond! Mr Barbosa helped me with first aid and assistance getting to hospital after I was hit by a motorcycle whilst crossing the road. He went above and beyond for me, helping me to remove my heavily blood stained shirt and freshen up before hospital. He did everything possible to help me - it was an outstanding effort! Amazing ! Great accommodation! I like staying at the Riale, especially because of its location in Catete, close to the subway and the Museu da República, shops, restaurants, pharmacies and the Flamego park, which is a wonderful tourist attraction in Rio de Janeiro. However, I still think the hotel needs to be renovated. The daily rate does not match the accommodations offered. The cleanliness is excellent and the breakfast is reasonable. However, when the room key card did not open the door, I had to walk back to the reception through the huge, hot hallways. I stayed in a room with an air conditioner so old that the noise did not let me sleep well. I shared the room with a friend and we could not use the bathroom in private because the bathroom door did not close. The staff is very friendly, but they forgot some cosmetics in the shower and did not even contact me to let me know, which I thought was rude.

The hotel is about 40 minutes away from the airport by car. It is right between Ipanema and Copacabana Beach. Go downstairs and walk across the road to the beach. The sea is very soft, like the magic sand that children play with. Every employee of the hotel is very polite and will greet people warmly. The hotel's swimming pool is very beautiful. The view of the mountains and the sea outside the swimming pool is superb! ! ! We were in a daze for 2 days in the hotel and the beach at the door! Because we checked in early, we were given the last room with sea view, but my husband was more serious and changed it twice to a good sea view room. The only drawback is that the price is a bit expensive, nearly 4,000 per night. This is not the hotel's fault, but because I am poor!

Copacabana Rio de Janeiro|5.7km from city center
If it weren't for the general manager Temborarli and Julia, I would have given it all 1's, but in the last 3 hours of my birthday, they managed to save the situation. I flew to Brazil alone to celebrate my 40th birthday and chose one of the most expensive hotels - JW Marriot, thinking that it was a cool hotel. But no. I didn't get any service or amenities, having paid a lot of money. I arrived at 10 pm (that is, the whole day was already lost, I did not live in the room) I had to live the night and 1 next day. My birthday! I go to the reception, tell them that I came to you to celebrate my birthday, I am a member of the Marriott program and have already spent more than $5,000 on your hotels in the first month of the year (I show the receptionist and explain that my birthday is coming up in 2 hours, my birthday is coming up), but (!) they put me in a room on the third floor, where you can’t open the curtains (!), because people are constantly walking past to use the elevator!! Even in the middle of the night! They are rumbling and making noise. Upset, I return to the reception and ask them to help me somehow with this situation. At the same time, I see that the room is dirty! Even the sheets are dirty!! An unpleasant man says, ”You have this room category, King room. I can't do anything. Well, I can find a higher floor.” (Was it too much to give it to him right away? A higher floor and a room not on the passage, where you can't even open the curtains, why should I run and ask!!!??? I already asked once: pay attention, it's my birthday. A birthday on which they give gifts and make surprises, congratulate!!! But apparently he is a completely incomprehensible person. (To whom I wish that no one congratulates him on his birthday this year). Then he offers me ”if you want, you can PAY EXTRA and move to another room with a different view” !!!!! I say: I DON'T WANT TO and leave. (I also wish this man a trip to another continent, the earth's hemisphere, alone, where he pays for everything, for everything himself!) My birthday is in the morning, I sleep terribly, there is no soundproofing, noises begin from 6 am ... and until the evening, until 7 pm I don't get a piece of cake, a card, nothing. (Although then I moved to the Fairmont hotel, where the waiters sang a Happy Birthday song to the birthday boy so heartily at breakfast!!! So never choose Marriott for your birthday!!! They will treat you very badly!!) I always travel for my birthday, I have already celebrated it more than 20 times in different parts of the world and in different hotels, and for the first time I encountered that I need to beg for something and remind you that it is your birthday!!! At the very end of the birthday, at 7 pm, I go to the reception and ask to call the general manager to say everything that I think about JW Marriott. Well, here Timberly moves me for 1 night to a room on a high floor with a sea view. For which I am very grateful to her. And for which I give high points in the review. And that guy who regretted upgrading so that the person would wake up happy on his birthday and continue spending money in the Marriot Bonvoy chain, and not wake up broken at 6 am because it sounded like someone was washing in his bathtub (because in that room on the 3rd floor there was unreal soundproofing, no soundproofing!!!!) I hope he will be fired!!!
