The location is a bit more, in a small alley. But the environment inside is still very clean, with air conditioning is very cool, bathroom with shower is very clean, but the room is too small, the luggage can only be left standing. Breakfast included, only free pick-up / drop-off once, $ 5 pick-up per person is required. In addition, an environmental tax of USD 3 per person will be attached after arrival.

Male city is a crowded city with high prices. For the same price, you can stay in a larger room in China. In Male city, the room area is only 7 square meters. There is a school and a large playground downstairs. For those who like to sleep late, the noise is relatively loud.

I can only say that it's just a makeshift place to stay.
What I find most unbearable is the smell, especially when I first checked in. I don't know what perfume was used. The corridor outside also smells the same. There is a sliding door on the ground floor that isolates the stairs from the outside. There is no ventilation at all.
The water heater and hair dryer in the room I stayed in didn't work. There was no kettle, and there were only two bottles of water. I stayed for two days, so I should have been given two bottles, but I only got two bottles.
My room doesn't have a balcony, and the toilet is also pitifully small.

Close to the sea.
Wait for the bus under the sign of Bank of Malaysia on the right side of the airport,
Take the direction of Hulhumale, the first stop is very long, get off at the station,
Turn right at the 50-meter T-junction,
Walk another 150 to 200 meters and you're here.
No elevator.
The conditions are average and fairly clean.
Transit hotel is cost-effective.

Very small rooms for a really high price! Bed was really hard, and not suitable without waking up many times a night with backpains. Also wonder why the housekeeping cart always was outside our room for almost 2 days.. Very annoying! Next time I would consider other options.From€215

The hotel is located on a street with a church nearby, and there are prayers three times a day (morning, noon, and night), which can be a bit noisy. However, the hotel staff thoughtfully provided earplugs. Also, the soundproofing in the rooms isn't great. We were on the 9th floor, and the restaurant was directly above us, so we kept hearing chairs and tables being dragged around. Other than that, everything else was pretty good. It's an acceptable hotel for a temporary stay.From€79

It feels quite close to Male Airport, take a taxi and cross a bridge, then shuttle in the alleys, it takes about 10-15 minutes to arrive.
The boss is a German who has lived in the Maldives for more than ten years. Two days before the arrival day, the boss Thomas began to contact us by email, including when we arrived, how much luggage, how many people and so on. After customs clearance on the day of arrival, Thomas' staff has already picked up the guests with a sign at the hotel entrance (free pick-up service is included in my reservation). He greeted us at the door before arriving at his small hotel. Very polite and caring. If there is no problem with your communication needs, the boss Thomas will give you a lot of tips for traveling on the island, such as how much local currency is appropriate to exchange, what local regulations are there, and so on.
It is very important that this hotel should be the best Thai restaurant on Male Island. Very authentic thanks to the owner Thomas should have some stories in Thailand, there is no gossip about the specifics. If you eat a meal in person, the boss will recommend and serve you personally. Don't order too much.
The next day we went to the resort island. It was a very pleasant day to stay in this hotel on Male Island. It is very convenient to buy swimming goggles, clothes, shoes and other necessary items in the hotel.
In Muslim countries, alcohol and tobacco are prohibited, you can ask the boss.From€91

Rooms are small with queen size beds, folding fan made very disturbing noise so had to keep it off.

The hotel is conveniently located near several attractions, including the fish market, national museum, and mosque, all within a five-minute walk. However, light sleepers should be cautious, as the surrounding environment can be noisy. Pigeon cooing, calls to prayer from nearby mosques, and construction noise significantly impact sleep quality. The hotel itself is older, and the facilities are quite dated. The minibar only offers complimentary water and tea bags. The bathroom lacks air conditioning, and the shower stall only has a curtain. The toiletries provided are of poor quality, so it's best to bring your own. On the bright side, it was relatively clean. Several power outlets were loose and didn't charge devices properly, requiring a travel adapter. There were no outlets near the bed. The sofa bed was sunken in the middle and very uncomfortable.
The dining experience was subpar. The dinner buffet was awkward, with limited options, and the semi-open grill left a lingering smell on our clothes. Breakfast was a combination of à la carte and buffet. The à la carte options were quite good, but the buffet part was, again, disappointing. Our airport pickup took 15 minutes to arrive, and I paid an additional $15 for private transfer. The return trip to the airport was a shared, complimentary service.From€106

An excellent hotel, located practically right on the beach. The service is excellent, the rooms are clean, spacious, and cozy. The huge pluses are the free taxi transfer from and to the airport and the ferry, which the hotel staff pays for themselves. The receptionists spoke fluent English.
The downside is the cafe on the ground floor, where all the food is incredibly spicy 🌶️, it's impossible to eat; even the breakfast omelet was incredibly spicy. I don't recommend the cafe, but the hotel is great! I would stay again!From€39

I had a really pleasant stay at Zan Lodge, and it honestly lived up to what I was hoping for. From the start, things felt easy and well-organized. One thing I really appreciated was the free airport pick-up and drop-off. It made arriving and leaving so much less stressful, especially after a long trip.
The room itself was just what I needed—clean, comfortable, and relaxing. It wasn’t overly fancy, but everything was well-kept and thoughtfully arranged, which made it easy to settle in and feel at home. The bed was comfortable, and I was able to rest well each night.
Breakfast was another nice part of the experience. The food was good, and I liked that they included local dishes on the menu. It gave me a chance to try something different and added a more authentic touch to my stay. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying, which made mornings something to look forward to.
What stood out the most, though, was the staff. Everyone was very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. They made the atmosphere feel warm and genuine, not forced. Whether I had a question or needed assistance, they were quick to respond and happy to help.

I have no idea why this property has such a low rating. It is a budget accommodation ffs. Rooms aren’t new, but clean, shower has good pressure and hot water, staff is smiling and helpful, speed of internet is enough for general use, like YouTube.
I suspect that people hat choose this place are so poor that expect 5* hotel for this money. This is the cheapest in Male, this isn’t Thailand or Kuala Lumpur.
Why would you try to hurt this business is beyond me.
Don’t look at it through your cheap fake ray bans. Have a broader view, and remember where you are. Be greatful a bit.From€43
