I used it at the end of the year by skiing. The room is envious to feel the number of years. It is a nostalgic inn that reminds me of when I stayed at a country friend's house. The price was very cheap, and it was good for skiing and snowbo for a consecutive night, and I finished dinner at a tavern about 300 meters walk in a night stay, and I enjoyed the end of the year TV in the room with the family. Maybe it's a trip that you want to keep the cost down and enrich another place. There is also a hot spring.

The hotel is relatively new and the facilities are decent, seemingly quite upscale. However, the service completely shattered my long-held belief that Japan has the best service. The electric kettle in my room wasn't working; I wanted to make coffee, but the water temperature never increased beyond a lukewarm setting. I informed the front desk, and a young, delicate-looking woman came. After I explained, she opened the lid and said, 'This is hot water.' I poured it into a cup, and she touched it, saying, 'That's how it is.' I told her, 'This is only 40-50 degrees Celsius, how can I brew tea or coffee with this? I need boiling temperature.' She replied that she couldn't do that. I asked her what temperature a kettle should boil to, and she said there was no standard! I then told her the kettle was broken and asked her to replace it, to which she said they didn't have any. I ended up pouring a bottle and a half of cold water into the kettle, and when it still didn't heat up, she finally took it away. Throughout the entire interaction, her expression was blank and her attitude was slow and indifferent. I used to tell my friends that Japanese people's warm service isn't necessarily because they like you, but because their upbringing and professional ethics don't allow them to be rude. Now, I've witnessed such service in a 4/5-star hotel.FromIDR 845,145

Incredible location, only 3-4min walk to Shimizu Station. There are convenience stores and eateries super nearby so you will always get what you need.
Room size is appropriate for a couple, although we could not open our luggages, it was sufficient enough for a few nights stay.
Staff were friendly and approachable, they try their best to communicate in either English or Chinese, but please approach them with a ”すみません/Sumimasen”.
Breakfast spread was average. We could have done without it, but it was a convenient option to have.

It's a good hotel, albeit old. I didn't like the room because of the dark interior and small window, as well as blinds that didn't open. The breakfast was decent, Japanese-style. They provided a welcome drink in the evening, but I couldn't choose anything. The hotel has an onsen, which I went there every day. The staff was very attentive, as is everywhere in Japan. Overall, the hotel's rating is downgraded, but if you're on a budget, it's a decent option. We flew out of Shizuoka, so it's a good choice if you're arriving by train. Breakfast was very satisfying. The specialty Shizuoka oden was varied, and there was also buta. The konjac and mugo were especially delicious. One thing I was disappointed about was that there was no fruit at all. Also, the hotel's room assignment system doesn't take requests into account at all. I requested a room with a nice view in advance, but they had already assigned me a room with a parking lot view on the second floor. They didn't assign it upon arrival; the room number was already written on the check-in form. I stopped by to store my luggage before check-in time, and it was already there. I went before the 3 o'clock check-in time, but it was useless; it was a pre-arranged plan. The female staff member was sarcastic, and her attitude was evident in her expression and tone.
She's Japanese, but she speaks Korean fluently. She didn't even realize it, and she kept speaking in Japanese. I've stayed at many hotels in Japan, but this is the first time I've experienced such service.
Wow!! Contrary to the hotel photo, there's no sauna in the women's spa! I booked because of the sauna, but I was surprised. It might be helpful to double-check our website.
This was my first time staying at the Kuretake Inn chain, but if you don't care about the staff's friendly service and detailed facility information, it's fine. I'm not sure I'll return to the Kuretake Inn chain.FromIDR 614,651
