The accommodation is a 2-story house. The house is very clean and the facilities are very good. There is a chance to go back to the original place again.

The room is average. The food is the same as other reviews. People with small appetites can't finish it. The hot spring is old, but it has everything you need. The boss seems cold, but he is responsive. Traditional Japanese personality. In fact, this restaurant is very good

Good Location near bus terminal so convenient to go to Kamikoshi and so on. Dinner is fabulous, especially house meat sashimi and Hida beef steak. Staff also very friendly and polite.

The most expensive but the worst hotel among the 8 hotels in this trip!
The hotel is positioned as an Internet celebrity hotel in my heart! Very beautiful to take pictures!
But the hotel has flaws: the public hot spring is too small and you can't take a bath, the room is too cold, and the air conditioner doesn't work! The shower area in the room is also very cold!
The food was average, but the key was that the ventilation during the barbecue for dinner was not good and the smell of oily smoke was all over the place!
The service is very good from check-in to other times. The key is that after check-out, no one cares about getting to the station. If the weather is good, it is not a big problem and the distance is not far. But on snowy days, it is too hard to push a big box with ice and snow on the road!
It was really beautiful to take a lot of photos. If you don’t have high requirements for hot springs and like to take beautiful photos, it’s still great!

The hotel is located in a mountain village. Take the Nohi Bus Shinhotaka Line from Takayama City and get off at Fudi Hot Spring. It is recommended to stay for two days. The daily meals are different. The hotel’s meals are super five-star, and they are all fresh wild vegetables. And high-quality meat, Hida beef is perfect! Each room has an outdoor pool, which is very private!

It was late night check-in, but I am grateful for your kindness. The room was large and the hot springs were comfortable and the best. The garden seen from the big window in the lobby was nice. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity. The staff were kind and arranged a taxi.

It takes nearly half an hour to walk from the One Palace. The landlord Ms. Mizu took care of the guests very well. The vegetables and watermelons that are eaten here are all grown by the farmer. Not far from here, there is a “Zhongrenそば”, a specialty shop for soba noodles, and a very elegant restaurant.

Just had an amazing time in this ryokan with a friend. The public bathroom in the open air - incredible, big, and also a lot of steam, along with the lighting of the lanterns, gives an incredible onsen-vibe! (But it was closed for cleaning at midnight, and not at one in the morning, as written in the brochure). There is also a sauna with a cold bath. After onsen, you can drink milk for free or eat ice cream from frozen juice. There is a separate paid lounge with unlimited beer, wine and whiskey. Private bathrooms are not bad, but not like public ones, plus they were constantly occupied by couples. The bath in the room itself is also not bad, but if you are tall, there may be problems with where to put your feet x) Dinner and breakfast were amazingly tasty. I especially liked the space on the street by the fire, where you can fry marshmallows or just sit after onsen to cool off with a strong drink) During the day we ride to Kamikochi, also a fantastic place)From€122

The hotel lobby is grand, elegant, and luxurious. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, providing excellent explanations and recommendations for nearby shopping and scenic spots. They even helped us store our luggage so we could explore without worry. Our friends were delighted with the Japanese-style room – it was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with incredibly cozy bedding that had one friend falling asleep instantly. The onsen was especially satisfying, with both indoor and outdoor pools that were comfortable, spacious, and beautifully designed, melting away the fatigue of a day of sightseeing. I'm so glad I chose to stay two nights; it was incredible value for money. A special shout-out to the shuttle bus driver! When we arrived in Takayama, it suddenly started raining, and the driver immediately took us to the hotel, which we greatly appreciated. I'll definitely recommend this place to friends for future stays.From€77

This was the most expensive and luxurious hotel I've ever stayed at.
I was assigned to a 'Jing Suite' in the 'Kou Chu Jing' series. Although these suites aren't as newly renovated as the 'Heki Suites,' they come with a jacuzzi! I didn't even bother with the hotel's onsen because of it. My first jacuzzi experience was absolutely amazing. You pull down the blinds, lie back, and watch the small TV in the opposite bathroom, while powerful jets massage your feet. The toiletries were all Sekkisei or POLA (for use in the hotel only, not to be taken). All the drinks in the mini-fridge were complimentary and could be taken with you. Plus, there was a capsule coffee machine in the room with four free capsule coffee flavors.
The view from the living room was fantastic. The toilet and bathroom were two separate rooms; the bathroom was closer to the bedroom, while the toilet was next to the living room outside. It had a motion-sensing light, so if you sat there for too long, you'd have to move or the light would turn off by itself 🤣.
I called the hotel three days in advance to pay for an upgrade to the highest-tier 'All Hida Beef Dinner.' All the ingredients were Hida beef, and the menu even listed the cow's name and origin. You could also order à la carte from the hotel's partner sushi restaurant; I added sashimi and vinegar crab, and I was absolutely stuffed.
Since I contacted them in advance, they provided a complimentary shuttle service to and from Takayama Station. Upon arrival at 12:30 PM, it was a mini-bus, and the driver (a kind older gentleman) was easy to spot, holding a whiteboard with my name written on it. For departure at around 2:00 PM, it was a fancy black sedan, which looked super luxurious.
The Nepalese staff member, dressed in a kimono, escorted me to the room and explained everything in detail. The restaurant also had private rooms. For breakfast, you could choose between Japanese or Western. After much deliberation, I opted for the safe and popular Western breakfast because some of the ingredients in the Japanese breakfast were a bit too healthy and exotic for my taste. The most memorable item was the hotel's dashi-rolled omelet, which was incredibly delicious. Milk, orange juice, and tea were all free and unlimited during breakfast.
It truly showed that you get what you pay for!From€231

Although the hotel is a bit old, it's well-maintained and the service is very friendly. The cleanliness is good too. The only downside is the lack of power outlets, which was a bit inconvenient. The view from the window was great, and the hot springs, which I enjoyed for two nights, were also very nice. The milk was delicious!From€51

Location: The hotel boasts an excellent location right in the heart of the area, nestled by the stream. Its 7-story building is already the highest point in the old mountain town.
Facilities: While the hotel is a bit older, the facilities are well-maintained. The men's outdoor rooftop rotenburo (open-air bath) offers stunning valley views. For the women's area, in addition to the rooftop bath, guests can also experience the adjacent Meiji-era bathhouse.
Service: They offer complimentary shuttle service to and from the station, and Chinese-speaking staff are available. Upon check-in, guests are greeted with a drum performance, adding a wonderful sense of ceremony. Although the price is a bit on the higher side, it's definitely worth every penny.From€122

Attended by a senior staff who could speak zero English. Need to use app to translate which was frustrating. Finally a younger staff who could speak English came to assist. Booked wrongly for 1 person instead of 2 persons. In the end had to pay additional 100% the amount which I already paid. The charges were ridiculous! Had similar situation in Nagoya hotel but only paid additional 20% for the additional person which was reasonable. Staff said it's peak season and all rooms are full. Had no choice but to pay as the booking was also non-refundable. This situation has already spoilt my 1st day in Takayama.From€29

The 31-square-meter room was clean and bright, with a door separating the kitchen and bedroom. The bathroom and shower room were two separate spaces, which was very comfortable. It was fully equipped with a washing machine, refrigerator, pots, plates, bowls, and chopsticks. We bought Hida beef from the supermarket and cooked it ourselves. Both large supermarkets are west of the hotel; just exit the hotel, turn left, then left again, cross the railway underpass, and walk straight for 8 minutes to reach them. From the hotel balcony, looking south, you can see the Takayama Nohi Bus Center. The staff were warm and welcoming, and spoke excellent English.From€34

The hotel is about 500 meters from Takayama Jr Station and 800 meters from Chaoshi Old Street. It has a superior location and convenient transportation. Feida Pavilion Flower Fan is a Japanese-style ryokan. The hotel shuttle bus departs from JR Takayama Station West Exit Hotel Bus Station every day from 1400 to 1730. The bus will depart every half an hour. The driver will confirm the name of the reservation customer before boarding. When arriving at the hotel, the waiter will be very warm and courteous. The same waiter received the welcome drink and snacks, then introduced the hotel facilities, and then confirmed the meal time.
The food is delicious and delicate, if you are not full, you can eat ramen for a late night.
The hot spring water is very slippery and the environment is good. Basically, there are not many hotel guests during the off-season. There are only three or four kittens dipping in the public hot spring. It feels quiet and comfortable. The male and female soups are interchangeable in the morning. If you want to soak all the hot springs, you can try it in the morning. The foot soup is also good.SOLD OUT

Takayama is a compact city, and this hotel boasts an unbeatable location right next to Takayama Station – literally a two-minute walk to the right after you exit. The cutest thing was after leaving Takayama Station, I opened the navigation, crossed the zebra crossing, and was trying to figure out which way to go, thinking the navigation was wrong. I looked up and saw the hotel sign! Automatic doors led to an escalator, and going up to the second floor, there was a spacious front desk ready for check-in! 😊From€31
