Before going to the Masai Mara savanna, I stayed in a city hotel in Nairobi for one night. It was very good. Vehicles entering the hotel need to be strictly checked by security. The guy at the front desk spoke English very well and was very humorous. The room had an overall European resort style, and there were birds in the morning. morning Call. The hotel was in a great location and they provided a free shuttle to the airport. The room was clean and the room service was great. We had the lamb chops, highly recommend. However, no toothbrushes were provided in the room, we also called reception asking for some and the request was not fulfilled. Despite this, we would stay again. Very convenient for our transit.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel during my 3 day visit in September 2025. The room was always maintained clean, tide and neat. Nice city views from the 9th floor where I was. Friendly stuff in particular was Zelec in the gym. He was ready to assist on anything and the gym is well equipped to give unforgettable workouts. Hope to come back again on my next visit.

Overall this hotel was good. The breakfast food spread was amazing and the A-la-cart items you could order at dinner were very fancy and delicious. The staff was friendly and kind (but they often seemed overwhelmed with work). There was a huge walking path in the back of the lot. The grounds were beautiful. The hotel was clean. The gym was small; it included a rack of dumbbells, two or three treadmills, an elliptical machine, and one yoga mat. The water jug in the gym was empty. We wouldn’t stay here again because there are really nice hotels nearby for 1/3 of the cost. Maybe the food variety wouldn’t be as good as Eka, or less beautiful grounds, but Eka was not worth the extra cost. We stayed two nights and the entire time couldn’t see where the $125 a night value was coming from. Sadly, the other Nairobi hotel ratings on Trip are lower, like 3.5. An example hotel is Maison Royale. But if you’re looking for a good hotel just a bit less fancy, go somewhere else.

Accommodation in Kenya is very expensive. It's relatively affordable here. Not far from China's Xinhua News Agency and the Chinese district. YAYA CENTER is within walking distance. There are a lot of sausages for breakfast, few dishes, pure Western style, you can order black tea for no extra charge. But breakfast is 1,500 shillings, which is not cheap anymore. There is no way to go out.

As im a tourist from overseas, not sure if my diarrhoea was from the dinner/breakfast here or it was from not being used to the food/food from the previous place. Nonetheless, enjoyed my stay. My partner did not get diarrhoea so am not too concerned that it is the hygiene of this place. Everything looked good with good security

This is a real treasure of a place! The atmosphere is old world charm, the food is fabulous at TATU. The bar is excellent with service and attentiveness to you needs. The gift shop is stellar for some nice jewelry. The facilities are clean as a whistle as they say...breakfast was outstanding with so many choices. The work out facilities are just super great, and the pool is heated. Ok, lastly the ambiance of colonial Africa just fills the air, from the art, to the breezes flowing freely through this wonderful hotel!
