Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Harbor cruises, the Maine State Aquarium, Boothbay Railway Village, beaches, hiking in the many area preserves, shopping, excellent restaurants- all within 5 minutes!

Completely renovated and totally new, with 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, everyone will enjoy all the comforts and amenities this home has to offer. Relax with a book in the sweet window seat or the hidden reading nook on a rainy day, play board games together, or catch the big game- with 2 living areas, there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Maine vacation at best!

Enjoy beach-combing at Ocean Point, or shopping at the amazing local shops in the area. Hikes through the many preserves (15 just on the peninsula!) are just minutes away (Porter Preserve is a favorite) and Barrett’s Park nearby has an excellent swimming area. End the day with a meal cooked on the grill while relaxing on the back covered deck while listening to the boats coming and going with their catch of the day. Enjoy stargazing while roasting smores in the firepit and relaxing in the adirondack chairs surrounding the fire.

The kitchen is a chef's delight with a large island for preparation and serving and a 5 burner gas range for putting together a truly gourmet meal including a pot-filler for large pots. A large convection oven helps to make meal preparation quick and easy. A French door refrigerator provides ample storage for as many lobsters as you would like to eat! Baking is enjoyable with a mixer, food processor, and blender all at your fingertips. Oh, and beverages! Our beverage station provides a great way to chill your cold drinks in the beverage fridge or make a delicious cup of coffee for sipping. Enjoy your dinner at the large dining room table or on the covered porch.

Fresh, clean beautiful linens welcome you when you lay your head down after a full day for a sweet, relaxing sleep. You will be ready for all of the adventure the next day has to offer - shopping and exploring or a relaxing day at the beach!

Just a 5-minute leisurely stroll to the harbor, restaurants and shops, the house has high grand ceilings and comfortable beds. There is a big deck with a grill and fabulous views of the bucolic surroundings. There is also a nice sunroom with stunning views of historic Oak Street. Parking is an ongoing issue in downtown Boothbay Harbor, but not here. The kitchen has been updated and includes a new refrigerator, sink, small appliances and countertops. A completely renovated waterfront home in the heart of Boothbay Harbor, The Sea Eagle is steps from the ocean with a private dock and balconies overlooking the sparkling harbor. The space
This home was in major disrepair when we bought it in 2020. Extensive renovations from the foundation up were required. My wife and our team of talented craftsman curated every detail, adding in old home charm with antique newel posts, period corbels and restored windows. No part of the home went untouched. The waters-edge shack was ramshackle when we bought the house. This too has been fully restored with a main floor and a loft that can accommodate 3 or 4 adventurous guests who want to sleep inches from the water. Guest access
The whole home is available to you. This includes a garage for one car with room for additional cars bedside the house or on the nearby side street.
Other things to note
Our home has a tidal dock out back. Great for using the kayaks provided, swimming, or just enjoying a glass of wine in the Adirondack chairs while the tide rolls in. There is a first floor full bath with a pull out sofa in a den nearby, making one floor access an option for disabled guests. Please note, the house is very close to a busy street out front and has no fence at the shoreline. The space
The Coastal Cottage Suite is a one bedroom, one bathroom suite with attached living room. You will enter through a private entrance, up one flight of stairs. A private galley kitchen is included where you can prepare your own meals. This Suite is decorated in serene blue and beige decor to relax you after a long day of sightseeing, hiking, or kayaking. There are stunning water views of Boothbay Harbor from both the bedroom and living room.


This suite sleeps two people and is outfitted with a queen size bed. The living room is equipped with Roku and WIFI is included. There is one parking spot provided; street parking is limited to two hours. The backyard is shared with the adjacent units, which may be occupied during your stay.
Guest access
Located in the back of the building is a private entry up one flight of stairs to yellow door #1. Parking is on the right side of the driveway, pull in at an angle.
Other things to note
A short ten minute drive away is renowned Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, you’ll be enchanted by the beautiful foliage and troll sculptures. Ask your hosts, Steve and Julie, for assistance in booking a trip to Cabbage Island for a clambake. There are over 30 restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance for you to enjoy.

Hawks nest has all the modern conveniences, completed in 2018.
It is surrounded by windows with a cross breeze off the ocean or has air-conditioning and heating. It has a gourmet kitchen, a bathroom with heated floors, a heated towel rack, and a walk-in shower.
This second story studio sleeps two, in a very comfortable queen plus American leather sofa, without bars. There is an exclusive area on the side of the guest house, with a gas grill, comfortable seating that overlooks the beautiful gardens and Mill Cove.
One parking space is provided with your own entrance to the guesthouse.
The town of Boothbay Harbor has boat rides, wonderful restaurants, quaint shops, art galleys, and a land trust with many hiking trails, all over the peninsula. Kayak rentals in town are also available.
The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is 3 miles from Hawks nest. It’s a must!
The property is a smoke-free and has a firm no pet policy. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am. Minimum four night stay.
